So glad you guys enjoyed this game so much! You definitely fought hard to make it to the end of it and it was cool to see you get so into the action! I agree with you regarding the villains. Marlowe and Talbot had a lot of cool and suave energy while also being an interesting parallel to Drake and Sully. They could have done more with them in general, but the game ends with a lot of unanswered questions. Uncharted 3 is great, but I do wish that had been thought through a little more. You know, I was at London comic-con a couple of weeks ago and there was an Uncharted reunion panel where Nolan North, Emily Rose and Richard McGonagle had an interview together. It was really sweet because they obviously had a lot of love for the series and for each other! To share some trivia from it in celebration of you finishing the PS3 trilogy: - All three of them apparently bombed their auditions, but for various reasons managed to fit their roles enough that they ended up getting the parts anyway. Nolan and Richard were very surprised by all the mo-cap work. - The ending conversation between Nate and Elena in Uncharted 2 ("Clowns over my death?" - Emily's favourite line) was totally improvised. The two were allowed to just make up whatever conversation they wanted and it was kept in the final game. - Similarly from the same game, Nolan loves Sully's "hooker to church" line because it was also an ad-lib by Richard, though he had to rerecord it because originally he said a different word that was less appropriate. - In Uncharted 3, during the flashback cutscene where Sully saves young Drake from Marlowe's henchman, that henchman was played by Nolan North. As a bonus, when Sully throws away the gun in the scene, Richard accidentally threw the prop gun during the mo-cap directly at Nolan's head while he was lying on the floor after 'being shot'. Richard didn't even realise he'd done it until after the scene when the whole crew rushed to check on Nolan. It was apparently very sore, but Nolan committed to staying silent so he wouldn't interrupt the scene. That's the meat of what I remember. Hope you found it interesting and I look forward to whenever you guys finish the story (in your own time)!
Lol Salim glitched out of the saddle for a bit😅 He is played by T.J. Ramini, who claimed it meant a great deal to him to play a muslim character in a video game in a much more positive light, which doesn't happen too often. As for Sully's death, I FELT that moment. His passing just felt so sudden and eerie with the minimal music, and how Sully and Nate both could hardly comprehend what was even happening. Very well directed stuff. And then to let Nate suffer through tons of hallucinations as a "dreamer of the day", really brought home the consequences of his reckless way of living, in a different way than just the physical risk of it. If you decide to play U4 on this channel, please see it all the way through with the Lost Legacy. You'll love it!
Great end of the series! Not my kind of game to be honest, but watching you two playing it has been fun 👍 I remember having the exact same problem with Red Dead Redemption 2. I just couldn't shot the wolves from my horse at the beginning of the game, until I thought: What if I dismount and shoot them on foot? Worked like a charm.
Another happy ending ☺. Now, Uncharted 4 A Thieves End that game is going to blow your minds.
Oh literally, that game is insane. And amazing!
1:19:00 Sully means destroying the city with the 3 shots from the underwater gun
i was just about to comment the same thing to them lol, yeah they destroyed the entire city with 3 bullets from underwater gun
Uncharted 4 will be mind blowing absolutely
