Another light source that you can easily craft in a post-SHTF world is a rushlight. Just take a length of rush and dip it into some animal fat. Just one question, do you peg the 2 corners and then ⅓ in from one end? Seems right, but I thought I'd jusy check. I'm sure I'll have a play around with this in my backyard first anyway

All these tarp videos are so ridiculous. I have/had an MSR Reflex 1 that offers far more protection, with less weight and less space than this thing. I'd rather a y pole configuration but compared to a plain tarp, still better.
