I'm in this weird situation where I do want to look out for the future, but doing so would be at the expense of the present. I have 2 Anomaly teams, Jane/Seth/Grace and Yanagi/Lucy/Burnice alongside 1 attacker team, Zhu Yuan/Nicole/Anby. I have **no** fire or ice DPS. If I pull for Lighter and skip Miyabi, I would be banking on his future potential and future characters, as I won't be able to make use of his buffs. If I skip Lighter and pull Miyabi, I would have a juggernaut of an Anomaly account, but when Hoyo eventually switches out the meta, I would be doomed. Hm.... Great video, gonna toss it around in my head for awhile and not pull instantly.

I think it's odd he buffs fire and ice, when there's no ice Sons of Calydon. I know gameplay and lore aren't always connected, but maybe a hint for the future...? I hope you're right about him being a niche character for a niche that isn't developed yet, or that the devs are at least planning to go somewhere with him.

But the only pro I need is the punches. I want to be the puncher.

In summary. Lighter is a must pull!... for me.

Nice review, think at this point my take is he is going to age well for units that don't exist yet, and when those units drop there won't be comparable supp options, specifically if we get an fire alternate anomaly element that could disorder off burnice and still be considered burn, hed be incredible for that team composition, since that team would either have to choose a support, or a stunner, or both in lighter.

It's such a shame he is a stun unit and not an attack unit...

Honestly the main reason im not pulling lighter is because according to leaks so far pulchra will also be a sons of calydon stunner

i think when they separated ultimate, stunner get more playable

I nedeed this so bad, sitting on an S rank in like 10 pulls and I’m resisting to pulll for Yanagi But I do have Ellen, Jane, MC2 Grace, Qingyi and Burnice so I think the last character I need is Yanagi. Sad cause I love spear/polearm characters. Edit: after seeing this video he is not as good as i thought or maybe he is? I NEED HELP, whos the best pull? Or skip both?

Lighter is an easy skip to me. We have way too many stunners in the game.

Is ice res incorporated into his kit for lore reasons? He could’ve lowered fire and physical instead (fire and physical being the on-brand attributes for SoC) and been a premier stunner for units like Billy (the unit he shares lore with) and Corrin (who does extra damage to stunned targets). I really hope there’s lore attached to that decision, because this is shaping up to be one of the biggest wastes this game has seen to date.

4 months since the game released and I still only have one stunner (Anby) in my account. No problems in Shiyu Defense, was able to mald to level 30 in Simulation. I don't think anything can make me pull for a stunner anymore

Are there any team comps that would make it more worthwhile to pull Lighter over the 1.4 units?

Anyone saying he’s useless, his role will only get better as time goes on. IMO I’m not even a big fan of his design but I’m still pulling because I feel like I’ll regret not getting him.

Lighter Miyabi Support wont do anything, the disorder output is too low And those last few teams are just memes, idk what that's doing in a best teams video, but I guess it speaks to the absolute lack of good teammates for this guy

Why did they have to make him buff fire and ice only? As a the king of fighters' K' fan, the character lighter is based on, I feel I must pull him, cause I really like K'. But is very incompatible with my account. I have only pulled M1 Zhu Yuan and M0W1 Ceasar. I dont have Ellen, no burnice, no soldier 11, and I dont plan to pull Miyabi cause I dont like her tbh. So who am I suppose to buff with lighter? Freaking DPS soukaku? A sub DPS lucy?! A freaking DPS Ben? DPS Lycaon?! Come on! 😠 Iam gonna pull him, cause I dont really pull for meta and I actually clean endgame content very confortably with Ceasar who happens to be the best char in the game thankfully. But man, my best bet is playing DPS Lighter at this point lmao 💀, buff the crap outta him with Ceasar and Lucy and his own buffs. That, or pull a soldier 11 with my guaranteed 300th standart pull which is still months far away (currently at 190 pulls). It is looking grimmy for the champ :/

Don't get me wrong, I like the women. HOWEVER, I have been dying for a human male in this game since launch. I don't care if lighter is getting doomposted. I already have his disc drives and mats ready for when he comes home haha and I will force him to play with miyabi come hell or high water. Mark my words, this is going to be a topaz moment when everyone shits on the character at launch because they seem weird or no good pairings, then a new unit will come out later and they will be relevant. Though, honestly, I'm just pulling him because he's hot lol

Watching Hoyo continuously do my favorite characters dirty. Hoyo classic, make super cool male character, give them negative screen time, give them a niche or low ease of use kit, drop him right before crazy op female waifu character. First Argenti, then Boothill, now Lighter.

They ignore Player feedback and now they cry because its not as popular. Its the same with HSR tho...releasing units of the same style gives players no time to save if they want a good team. Its always about money.

Hello, I'm kind of a newb so I'd like to ask what is he referring to when he labels characters as pivots and pairs(im guessing main is main damage dealer but not sure for the rest)? Also, what teams are good for lighter if I have all the SoC's and no other S ranks?

Lighter seeming more and more useless to my account lol but ima still get him to support ZZZ getting a male character for once lol. Hopefully he’ll eventually be useful on some kind of meta team down the line

As much as I like his style he just doesn't fit in any team. Why didn't they made him a Physical/Fire DPS he would be so much better and you could pair with his crew Ceaser, Burnice/Lucy ,Lighter would be my favorite team
