Short answer? Because 1.0 launched with 7 attack units and 2 anomaly units. When Miyabi comes out, we will then have 8 attack units and 6 anomaly units… Anyone complaining about tOo mAnY aNoMaLy aGeNtS needs a reality check… the other units amount to 3 defense, 4 supports, and 4 stunners. After Miyabi will be the beginning of a more evenly spread out array of limiteds, predictably so and a balancing out of viability between anomaly and crit based units. Thank you and you’re welcome
@@fat4eyes I don't think 'watered down' is a reasonable sentiment here. Anomaly is a dot triggered by specific characters and by playing them a specific way. Sure, you can get some anomaly just by playing any character, but to specialize in it, you have to play their kit for it. Additionally, disorder feels way different from swirl, melt, or vape. You spend a comparatively long time building it up, and then all of the sudden BOOM! Big damage. Your take feels exceptionally reductive.
I don’t agree that this strategy has anything to do with adapting to other games or their playerbase. That would suggest that they’ve had to change their plans, but all of this seems like a more deliberate plan from the beginning than you’re giving them credit for. All these anomaly characters were obvious to me because of how few the game released with compared to attack units. The game NEEDED anomaly characters because there wasn’t enough attribute coverage. This will become even more clear after Miyabi comes out and we start to see more support, defense and stun agents to balance out all the roles and get more currently unused combinations into the game.
I would be incredibly surprised if they didn't have at least the high level design of the first year of characters mapped out before release. Numbers and abilities might be tweaked during testing, but you don't just redesign an entire character's kit at the last minute, especially when that is going to impact planned interactions with future characters.
@@carlfishy the only one we had an idea of a redesign was Lighter IIRC. Leaks were suggesting he's an A rank attacker, an alternative for those without S11 and didn't get burnice for the fire dps. Then I guess they heard online complaints and changed him to stun. Every new unit gets paired with current bis for release (Zhu with Qingyi, Jane with Caesar and Burnice, Burnice with Yanagi) but he doesn't?? We were gonna get Lighter and Harumasa back to back after 7 ladies? Nah that was a change for sure (which scares me now if I learn Harumasa's bis team is Yanagi lol)
Yeah I think similarly too, crit dps is very straight forward and most of the times just end up being a pay to win gameplay. Anomaly on the other hand is very team based, skill based, flexible, and it makes the combat so much more interesting, It's one of the main thing why Genshin is so interesting and I'm glad ZZZ is doing something just as interesting. I don't have to worry too much abt my Piper getting powercrept too much even tho Jane Doe is a thing lol
saying "crit dps ends up being pay to win" when 1. anomaly roster is made up of one 4*, one standard 5*, and three (about to be four) limited 5* 2. attack roster is made up of three 4*, two standard 5*, and two (about to be three) limited 5* is crazy lol what's the difference between ellen anby (lycaon if you have him) soukaku and jane seth and whoever (jane arguably premium is with burnice, but even just the 2 can do) or the most budget friendly probably being burnice piper lucy in terms of limited 5*? i can agree when you say anomaly is more skill based as im using s11 piper lucy and it's more thinking than ellen team sure, but dont say crit is mostly pay to win when arguably it's easier to get attack units (the core of attack team) than anomaly units (the core of anom team) lol edit: oh unless you mean pay to win in terms of disk build and w-engine options like eod says. i can agree with that, tho imo that's a dev decision, they could make good f2p options for attacker w-engine, they could make anom have no good f2p options
Yeah, I'm pretty diasappointed when WuWa scrapped the elemental reaction stuff in their beta and make no alternatives system on live version like ZZZ's Disorder. It's a pretty good system.
@@andysabur4966 Yes, that's what I meant. The CC mentioned exactly this too where a crit dps value vertical investment more than an anomaly unit; Mindscapes, signatures and having a cracked disk set. Having a bad disc set and a non-crit weapon is detrimental. Anomaly units, you mostly need Anomaly Mastery and Anomaly Proficiency to proc disorder and you immediately have a high damage floor. Crit units have a high damage ceiling but what is it going to cost? As for the accumulation of 5*, eventually your roster will grow overtime, however, you dont need all of them, Burnice/Piper/Lucy is a great start, the main unit here is just Burnice, the variables of f2p/p2w is up to the player.
You know what, that makes sense. I can totally see that. Ether has been very tech based so far. So a robot being able to do a bunch of ether dmg seems to be inline with the design philosophy so far. Though I guess having only two characters of the element right now extrapolating something like that isn't very reliable. :D
it's just the meta right now, im sure there'll be attack metas and support metas and all that other stuff down the line. i personally don't mind anomaly's playstyle, it's basically break from hsr or elemental reactions from genshin
Every since they added mobile controller support. I can actually deal with the TV system. Zenless is a way better game than genshin for ME. Zenless brings skill that me as an old school gamer. I can definitely appreciate. Salute to you Hoyo
Since when did they not have mobile controller support? My friend and I have been playing since launch, we both use 8bitdo to Bluetooth on our tablets at work and it worked fine? Glad you are able to play zzz on mobile tho, it does feel much better on controller
@dylang8082 that I can't answer. I upgraded my note 10 plus to a z fold 3. I linked my ps5 to the phone by usbc cable. I was playing wuwa at the time. Once I saw the controller settings immediately switch. I went to zenless. Low and behold that shit worked. Haven't tried it with an Xbox controller but I'm just happy I can actually bare those damn tvs 🤣
Kind of reminds you of the HSR launch. Everybody was a traditional crit DPS, sub-dps, then we got DoT but pivoteted to FuA after the initial Harmony/support wave.
Nobody tell him about Miyagi scalling on CRIT rate with a weapon that gives crit. Like Acheron. (which I enjoy because a Void Hunter should feel unique).
This is pretty much something they figured out in HI3rd. Making each character gain a large power boost from the previous cash only character creates a need that forces players to either suffer for the long run, or play and keep getting new characters to keep up with the curve. it slightly mitagtes power creep for a somewhat longer time, but not forever, and is still anti-consumer and less F2P friendly. People should be very wary of this continuing, it sucks.,
I absolutely love this. Piper Lucy disorder was fun to me on launch. Then Jane Doe happened and i absolutely fell in love(both figuratively and gameplay wise). Burnice is a dumb airhead sunshine that just brought rat to the next level. Dont get me started on Yanagi, she's absolutely cracked on the hands of a skilled player(and super hot too). I absolutely CANT WAIT for miyabi
There has been a lot of anomaly, but the game launched with so many attack units and only 2 anomaly. Then there was two back-to-back attack type characters and nobody batted an eye lol. If we count up to Miyabi it’ll be: 3 Atttack Units, 4 Anomaly, 2 Defense, 2 stunners, 0 supports.
Is true that I feel safe with anomaly characters, I wanted Jane Doe of course, I couldn't get her and she is supposedly the power creep of Piper, but dayum PIPER DOES SO MUCH DAMAGE and now we have Caesar and Burnice and these 3 work like bread and butter is insane, so while I still want to have Jane eventually, I didn't feel left behind or desperation, in fact Piper became stronger, more than my team with Ellen and that's really nice. I didn't feel this way with Genshin however, if you miss the current characters they'll make sure you regret it lol even if you have 30 others, I hope the ZZZ team doesn't turn that way too
I believe it depends on how you think. Attacker are classics, but at the same time, they do benefit more with supprt and even stun unit. Same with anomaly where they benefit more with anomaly and defender. I see a balance between the two. They both are pretty balance in terms of dps roles and their flexibility in a team. It is just that we are in an anomaly meta and they are building up to Miyabi. Same will be happening to attackers as well if their meta comes. If we start of as anomaly on 1.0 without even onboarding the players to the game, it will be difficult to get players to stay, hence why we have two attackers as the first and second limited.
To add a bit more on why anomaly meta first instead of attacker. EOD has a point, Anomaly is special to zzz, hence why it makes sense to push that to launch the game when it is hot.
Well Miyabi is anomaly same reason why Acheron is nihility. So you can’t use any previous w engines and are enticed to pull for the signature. After looking at her kit, Miyabi literally wants a shit ton of attack and crit rate and is indeed a direct dmg dealer
Not really like how in what way. Anomaly is way closer to dot As its damage over time and can be immediately triggered. Super break relied on breaking toughness which is WAY MORE SIMILAR TO STUN WINDOWS.
More like DOT because the base DMG still want ATK. While you can go all in for Break Effect for Super Break without caring about ATK. Super Break is equivalent to Bloom reactions in genshin
@@thefearturkey6944 in terms of accessibility and how easy it is to build to do big dmg. Hitting stat thresholds to get a good team going to clear endgame is a lot easier. 4:38
A lot of the resistance to anomaly playstyle early in the game and now is due to some players wanting more “straightforward” playstyle. Anomaly characters aren’t any more difficult to play or build, it’s just that some players are more accustomed to “more crit=big number” translating between games
Man, i have grace m1 and her wengine, and i dont know if i should invest in her or get a more META character… There are not many guides on grace dealing the damage that yanagi or burnice does, is she that much worse?
Grace is so bad. Worst standard S literally. Sadly I have her m1 too from losing event banners but without her signature. Even if I had Fusion Compiler I'd use it on another anomaly char lol
@@HourvaryUsually people say Nekomata is the worst standard S rank. But yeah, Yanagi is very strong compared to Grace. I'm on floor 90 of the tower using Caesar, Burnice, Yanagi the entire way. All M0
@gnarlyboyjai I'm pairin Miaybi with Burnice and Lucy. Why? Because it'll be FUN! Will it be the best? No. But it will be fun. Also, I am free to play, I cannot afford the luxury of pulling for everyone.
The answer seem simple enough Anomaly often like to play together so at launch they give us a bunch of attacker already so later they can just put out Anomaly ---- The reason why limited S rank (meaning NOT included standard and A rank unit) Anomaly more than Attacker is because of how Anomaly works Same level + same amount of Anomaly proficiency will result into somewhat same amount of damage This will make it hard to justify pulling for limited S rank if there new A rank that does the same job So to make money, just make all of them limited S rank (sorry but this is a gacha game after all)
They're releasing multiple Anomaly characters cause the mechanic needs multiple anomaly characters in a team to work. They want to get that team strategy option healthy.
I think the general reasoning is sound, although I think the idea that WuWa is somehow a huge influence is flawed. Software development "pipelines" are usually pretty long and while it may seem like companies like Hoyo are working patch to patch the reality is the content for patch 3 was probably already largely done and ready for final testing before patch 1 even came out. Working patch to patch is a pretty bad idea because one small hiccup can throw off your release timing in a big way. Hence, more extended development pipelines are the norm because they allow you to roll with hiccups more easily. While it may seem like the beta testing Hoyo conducts with people just before patch release implies they are rolling patch to patch, I suspect that it largely functions as a method for them to get some last minute sanity checking done while also functioning as a form of drop marketing (both official and unofficial). So yeah, as a result the idea that WuWa made them up the pace on anomaly is a little flawed since it implies they frantically scrambled to rework tons of characters. Good video otherwise.
I think there is one thing that goes against the anomaly characters being "cheap" the fact that all those character are limited only with the F2P alternative given as A ranks yet. It's just sad to get back into the game and remember that there is no way to get characters I missed like Caesar
The sad thing is that the anomaly meta lowers the value of stunners a lot, because you want to run 2 anomaly + 1 support You can level 2 good generic supports (caesar and lucy) and then pull a lot of anomaly damage dealers to pair them in a team based on the weakness of the enemies We have jane/piper, yanagi, burnice and miyabi... we only need an ether anomaly to have a complete elemental coverage with 2 anomaly teams
Well more savings for me as I wont pull any anomally as i dont like their gameplay style. And they dont work with normal characters so double reason not to pull. And unlike HSR you cant play to many characters as there is diminishing return on remembering how to play a character correctly after a while as its action game.
That's a bit of an overreach in logic. ZZZ is not focusing on anomoly agents because it makes the game easier, that would not makes sense when their business model is a gacha game with very subtle P2W mechanics (granted, just for characters until we see how the game shapes in difficulty but it can go honkai star-rail levels of bad in the worst case). The only reason ZZZ is shipping out so many anomoly characters is because Mihoyo knows the vast majority of F2P players shrugged of anomoly characters, that's why. By shifting the meta from crit agents to anomoly agents, F2P will either be left behind in the worst case having to pull two entirely new teams, or Mihoyo is just pushing f2p to panic pull so they think they will haft to spend in the best case. Personally I think it can go either way, but chances are if ZZZ is not doing well in sales it will in all likelihood, just go full honkai star rail in terms of powercreep and difficulty spike. That being said, I think Mihoyo hurt themselves in the long run as now they are going to eventually face an issue where no one is pulling characters since anomoly is easier to build, so not good.
At this point I question why we even have A and S rank agents. Seeing how many new A rank agents we have so far (thanks Seth), all we get is stronger and stronger S ranks.
this is kind of just what hoyoverse does. they pick a combat style focus the game around it for a year. then at the next major number patch or usually one patch before it they start to shift to something else.
I find Anomaly units equally as finnicky to build as crit units. You only care about AP and ATK% where crit units have 3 good stats. The balancing between the stats is maybe less sensitive tho and I do take your point that their floor with just main stats is *a lot* higher. Just frustrating that I keep getting great double crit pieces now that all the new characters don’t want it. 😂
They ignore Player feedback and now they cry because its not as popular. Its the same with HSR tho...releasing units of the same style gives players no time to save if they want a good team. Its always about money.
No attacker needs their sig to perform well, starlight engine and brimstone are really broken. The differences are pretty much the same for both attacker and anomaly in term of sig and dupe increase. Also even though anomaly has "higher floor lower ceiling", its already very easy to get decent gear with either crit/attack/pen sub with the crafting system imo.
Compete with who?? The outdated characters? Yes. But dots already fell behind, thats because i dont know why hoyo refuse to drop a dedicated support and sustain for dots teams. We only have kafka and black swan as the dots elite, but they need a better support and sustain, because ruan mei is more oriented in break and huo huo only give an attack buff. Other teams like Fua or break have supports and sustains revolving in that play style. Hell even summons teams have something in the way for them.
@josetomasrivera5782 Pls hoyo give us dedicated support for dot team, my kafka and blackswan benched for every patches just sit there collecting dust 😭
@@HazShino1309 isn't acheron also a nihility dps? her whole schtick is inflict debuffs as fast as possible to activate her ultimate and deal massive dmg.
Anomaly and elemental systems in this game are weird, to be honest. It's like they try to reinvent the wheel but only get halfway through before realizing it's the stupid idea and they don't have enough time to finish. So, they end up using the regular wheel for the other half just to get the project done and push the game out on time.
? How say to me ever anomaly is some what unique enough its not anything special but it is incredibly useful to know Ice is best for crit Physical is best for daze Ether has dot Electric has dot but requires attacks also can stun. Burn dot This is all simple enough Its incredibly simple but far superior to honkai star rails element system which is pretty boring and basic. It cuts out all the reactions for more simple effects from genshin. And has physical being a more hyper carry elements And burn and electric being more disorder focused
I feel like each anomaly is different. Ice anomaly increases crit damage so I can see her need crit rate crit damage and anomaly prof. You wouldn’t want disorder for ice probably cause electrify and fire and ether are much better. So she has to be different in some way probably not disorder.
Nah locking skins behind mindscapes is scummy. There are literally skins in Genshin and Hi3. Just have the purchasable during events to give the feeling of scarcity. Start off with really cool designs for the most popular characters and then branch out. Do the occasional contest where a fan made concept can win and be featured as a new skin every once in a while.
Everyone keeps talking about this for no reason. It's like the ZZZ community has ZERO IDEA of basic game design/development. Just like how so many people were and are still so vocal about wanting Miyabi to be an Attacker when it would be dumb to release two S-Rank Attackers from the same faction back-to-back in Miyabi and Harumasa when thematically Harumasa really couldn't be anything else based on his design (an Attacker with two blades and a bow).🤦🏻♀ - 1. The game JUST came out less than 5 months ago. FIVE MONTHS. They NEED to fill gameplay holes. 2. The CORE GAMEPLAY MECHANIC IS ANOMALY TRAIT BASED COMBAT. Every character in the game applies an Anomaly build up and since the core game mechanic is Anomaly application, THEY NEED TO FILL THE ROSTER WITH AT LEAST ONE OF EACH. 3. Burnice was the FIRST Fire Anomaly. Miyabi seems to be filling the Ice Anomaly hole and Yanagi is an Electric Anomaly because of her character thematic and how they needed to design her to fit in with the rest of Section 6. Imagine if they DIDN'T release 2/3 of these characters, we'd be lacking S-Rank Anomaly's well over 6+ months into the game cycle which would be stupid from a game dev pov. 4. The Idol Faction will finally bring the rumored Ether Anomaly mecha-girl to finally finish up the S-Rank Anomaly niche. 5. Once all element types in the game have a dedicated Anomaly user, they can release all other classes without worry now that everyone can properly apply anomaly build up.
Harumasa could've been a support easily. That's what many people were hoping for. And yeah bud, they were sooo desperate to fill the gaps that they doubled two already existing roles 😂 And if only limited 5* counts as a "fiil the gap" (for some reason) then the attack branch has only two XD
@@yume750 I think we're comparing the amount of S-rank attackers vs S-rank anomalies here, and not just their element. Harumasa is coming as electro attacker too, so that should bring it up to 5 S rank attackers vs 5 S rank anomalies. It's as simple as that.
@@yume750 Dude re-read my 1st and 2nd point then 2nd sentence above again. Characters also have to be coherent to the story as well 🤦🏻♀️ - Based on the story arc with NEPS and the concept of Jane as a character she was either going to be Physical Attacker or Anomaly and they decided to to give Physical Anomaly an S-Rank agent. Plus we already have 3 Physical Attackers and only had a single A-Rank Physical Anomaly in Piper. They’re releasing S-Rank Anomaly agents for every Element atm when it makes sense to do so in the story. - As for Yanagi I already addressed her too. Thank god that this community isn’t in charge of this game’s dev and design 🤦🏻♀️Yeah let’s just make Harumasa a support and Miyabi an Ice Attacker so that we have ZERO ICE ANOMALY units until Patch 2.0 and have Anton as the sole A-Rank Electric Attacker too. 🙄
@@BboyEasySteps stop coping with this "based on the story, according to the story" lmao. They can make anyone out of anyone and fit it in the story one way or another. Lucy has a bat, Caesar has a fckn sword n shield as well as Seth. I don't care what role Harumasa is, care even less about Miyabi (genuinely the most boring trope imo) Didn't mention her at all.
The reason why zzz is losing is because of the battery stamina you can't level up once you do everything, not understanding that their losing this race ppl like to grind. That why they put the battle tower to challenge ppl. But that not gonna help. What they should have done was make the hollow zone open world where you can get material. Or just remove the battery stamina so ppl can grind, but nope their gonna keep it and lose players
Bro what are you saying? Literally every gacha game has a stamina system. It’s so you literally don’t make broken/min maxed builds in one day 😂. You can’t grind this game like a single player rpg bro, and that’s not unique to ZZZ. It’s apart of the genre.
Just like Genshin is all about reactions, this game is all about Anomaly/Disorder. Even Attackers like Ellen and Zhu end up doing more damage when Anomaly happens It's even more noticeble on Ellen, since Freeze/Shatter increases Crit DMG.
Video idea: saw some people on Reddit ask this hasn’t been answered yet n don’t know how to answer it. Since we can craft a rank disks to s in the music store if it better to do so or gamble ? Which would give more s ranks really? It’s cheaper to roll on a rank because u can get some back n a S rank. However crafting is guaranteed S however would it be less S ranks then gambling since it takes more to craft 1 a to S?
There's another a bit more scammy reason to push the anomaly first - it's very easy to handicap. We already have that ethereal shielder enemy that just don't have the anomaly ring on it. Sooner or later they will start to introduce more enemies that are completely immune to anomaly and you'll have to pull the classic crit dps to deal with them.
@@CrimsonKaiserx8should be manageable for f2p unless you just drop the game and then come back you might be in trouble. They give about 100 pulls a patch. The only reason i dropped HI3rd is because they're powercreeping BY VERSION. No new unit (aka Valkyries) are on pair or weaker than the one before. And to counterbalanced, they release new signature weapons and stigmatas for just 1 yr old Herrscher ( aka archon/god). It's ridiculous that gods are not better than new gen support released the same year.
They made playing with stigmata build basically impossible since the signature stigmatas are just the best of the best. I remember seeing Schrodinger T on Ice Yae and Zhangheng B on Hawk of the Fog. well you see theyre going to delete anomaly from the game so they wanted to give everyone the chance to experience all their favourite anomaly characters for the last time before they are turned into bangboo food
i wish instead of adding combined elements (like miyabi) they would add elemental interactions. i.e. if you disorder fire with ice you buff crit rate, disorder ice with fire you buff crit damage. it would make combinations of anomaly char work as a support for an attack, make freedom blues actually viable and increase the overall fun of the game exponentially.
Bro she doesn’t have combined elements that would break the game. No hoyo game has a dual element character cause it would be incredibly tough to balance. Miyabi just has frost. Think of it as a subsidiary to ice. If she attacks enemies weak to ice she gets bonus dmg just like Ellen/Soukaku/Lycaon. However frost and anomaly can disorder each other allowing her to be able to disorder in mono ice teams. It’s a genius idea. Think of like in demon slayer they have sun breathing and fire breathing.

I agree with your theory on differentiating ZZZ in the market. As of now it's a fact that WuWa's endgames mainly rely on massive crit valye in order to clear it as efficiently as possible. Like, skill issues aside even if your total base ATK is 1700-1800s you can still clear ToA with full marks if you have 60+ crit.rate and 240+ crit.dmg ZZZ in the other hand, since 'focusing' on anomaly/disorder mechanic will make it seem like the level of character investment is 'easier' than WuWa since AP and ATK are what matters, it helps just enough to differentiate it from its direct competitor and to stall the powercreep from future crit DPSes But then again, I can't help but wonder if this marketing strategy is in their roadmao in the first place regardless if they knew WuWa's official release date or not
Bro called Zzz and Wuwa unga bunga (both of which has parries and dodge animations with insane fast paced combat) and pointed out genshin mechanism as the answer to it lol...!! I'm not against genshin here but genshin feels more unga bunga tbh
So, ZZZ pushes towards their unique "Anomaly" system, but totally miss why WuWa combat is so good. If you played Wuwa, you know the game has elements, and enemies have resistance to dmg types. What WuWa players found was, a red enemy is resistant to fire, but weak to all other dmg types. Why ZZZ has to make red enemies weak to fire, but strong against thunder, or why a thug has to be resistant to ice but weak to physical? ZZZ should throw all those restrictions away, because its not fucking pokemon.
Anomaly characters also seem easier to play/more fun to play for me. Like I like S11 for example but her "Just" attack for fire slows down her rotation a bit and I REALLY didn't like Caesar's playstyle. Burnice and Yanagi are easy to pick up, build and wreck shit with (sadly I wasn't blessed with Burnice in any account and so far Yanagi is dodging my polychromes...)
Helps that they are fun to play. Only bad thing is I'm losing my 50/50’s and even lost 75/25 on yanagi w-engine. Only pulling waifu so all their getting is the 5 monrhly.
IMO, anomaly teams encourage dodging and switching (even in Jane teams), which is a more dynamic and arguably more fun style of real-time combat. The new hyper-aggressive bosses also encourage you to dodge because parrying is a limited resource. If they can make more players realize this, then it will make players see what Hoyo is really confident of: ZZZ's combat being a standout feature.
Because Anomaly has a better play style, easier to build, rolling for crit is not needed, stunners are optional and not required unlike for attacker base team
I can't agree more. Playing with Ellen M1 all talents 11 now feels way worse compared to Jane Doe gourmet talent 7 + Seth with assault. So cheap to build and yet very strong.

Anomaly on the other hand is very team based, skill based, flexible, and it makes the combat so much more interesting, It's one of the main thing why Genshin is so interesting and I'm glad ZZZ is doing something just as interesting. I don't have to worry too much abt my Piper getting powercrept too much even tho Jane Doe is a thing lol
saying "crit dps ends up being pay to win" when
1. anomaly roster is made up of one 4*, one standard 5*, and three (about to be four) limited 5*
2. attack roster is made up of three 4*, two standard 5*, and two (about to be three) limited 5*
is crazy lol
what's the difference between ellen anby (lycaon if you have him) soukaku and jane seth and whoever (jane arguably premium is with burnice, but even just the 2 can do) or the most budget friendly probably being burnice piper lucy in terms of limited 5*?
i can agree when you say anomaly is more skill based as im using s11 piper lucy and it's more thinking than ellen team sure, but dont say crit is mostly pay to win when arguably it's easier to get attack units (the core of attack team) than anomaly units (the core of anom team) lol
edit: oh unless you mean pay to win in terms of disk build and w-engine options like eod says. i can agree with that, tho imo that's a dev decision, they could make good f2p options for attacker w-engine, they could make anom have no good f2p options
they are basically the same dawg
this is holy glaze
@@blueboyart6546 how is this glaze
It's similar with kafka dot team, they will get powercrept hard after some times and they gonna make brand new mechanic to do that
we're only missing Ether Anomaly, if the leaks are correct one of those robot idol girls is Ether Anomaly.
I hope its true, I want an ether anomaly
@@rayraynathanielreyt1187 The idol leaks are correct because they came from a disgruntled Hoyo dev lol
You know what, that makes sense. I can totally see that. Ether has been very tech based so far. So a robot being able to do a bunch of ether dmg seems to be inline with the design philosophy so far. Though I guess having only two characters of the element right now extrapolating something like that isn't very reliable. :D
I'm sure Ether anomaly will have a crazy design and cool flashing lights
Watching this video made me realize why I was so attracted to anomaly characters and pulled the last 3 plus two of their weps.
it's just the meta right now, im sure there'll be attack metas and support metas and all that other stuff down the line. i personally don't mind anomaly's playstyle, it's basically break from hsr or elemental reactions from genshin
Was a blessing for tablet.
Loving these discussions Mr EODgamer. They really make my drive to work more enjoyable!
4:47 i love how he has a spare ellen w-engine and has it on caesar 😂😂
That's a really good insight.
Kind of reminds you of the HSR launch. Everybody was a traditional crit DPS, sub-dps, then we got DoT but pivoteted to FuA after the initial Harmony/support wave.
All I know is we need more Ether units
Such a good point!!!
Wow. I love this take on "Why anomaly?"! prolly hits the nail on the head.
What i see in wuwa is that the game really likes character that floating/fighting in air.. it's interesting and unique in my opinion
It's happening in hsr too once they touch break character they keep releasing it dot, skill,hp scaling,er being forgotten
Well Miyabi is anomaly same reason why Acheron is nihility. So you can’t use any previous w engines and are enticed to pull for the signature. After looking at her kit, Miyabi literally wants a shit ton of attack and crit rate and is indeed a direct dmg dealer
Anomaly is ZZZ’s Super Break
Glad we haven't been forced to wait more than a year for one of the main combat styles to be actually usable
Not really like how in what way.
Anomaly is way closer to dot
As its damage over time and can be immediately triggered.
@@thefearturkey6944 I have a feeling he's talking about being favoured over the other archetypes rather than the actual mechanics
A lot of the resistance to anomaly playstyle early in the game and now is due to some players wanting more “straightforward” playstyle. Anomaly characters aren’t any more difficult to play or build, it’s just that some players are more accustomed to “more crit=big number” translating between games
I really hope for an a rank off field anomaly.

video title: Why Is Hoyoverse Releasing So Many Assault Units in Zenless Zone Zero 🤔
😂
Man, i have grace m1 and her wengine, and i dont know if i should invest in her or get a more META character…
There are not many guides on grace dealing the damage that yanagi or burnice does, is she that much worse?
Grace is so bad. Worst standard S literally. Sadly I have her m1 too from losing event banners but without her signature. Even if I had Fusion Compiler I'd use it on another anomaly char lol
@@HourvaryUsually people say Nekomata is the worst standard S rank. But yeah, Yanagi is very strong compared to Grace. I'm on floor 90 of the tower using Caesar, Burnice, Yanagi the entire way. All M0
Get Yanagi if you can, Grace sucks because she can’t apply that much anomaly even though she is an anomaly character
IM SAVIN FOR MIYABI! LOST YANAGI 50/50, JUST AS PLANNED!
Yanagi is her BiS
@gnarlyboyjai I'm pairin Miaybi with Burnice and Lucy. Why? Because it'll be FUN! Will it be the best? No. But it will be fun. Also, I am free to play, I cannot afford the luxury of pulling for everyone.
I think Miyabi will be an attacker that can burst damage like Anomaly.
The answer seem simple enough
Anomaly often like to play together so at launch they give us a bunch of attacker already so later they can just put out Anomaly
----
The reason why limited S rank (meaning NOT included standard and A rank unit) Anomaly more than Attacker is because of how Anomaly works
Same level + same amount of Anomaly proficiency will result into somewhat same amount of damage
This will make it hard to justify pulling for limited S rank if there new A rank that does the same job
So to make money, just make all of them limited S rank (sorry but this is a gacha game after all)
They're releasing multiple Anomaly characters cause the mechanic needs multiple anomaly characters in a team to work.
The sad thing is that the anomaly meta lowers the value of stunners a lot, because you want to run 2 anomaly + 1 support
You can level 2 good generic supports (caesar and lucy) and then pull a lot of anomaly damage dealers to pair them in a team based on the weakness of the enemies
We have jane/piper, yanagi, burnice and miyabi... we only need an ether anomaly to have a complete elemental coverage with 2 anomaly teams
I seen people say that 2.x there will be some enemies they will resist anomoly
Calling wuwa unga bunga is crazy 😂 2:16
I believe they are filling the anomaly ranks first because they are the least capable of creeping
Great topic and analysis!
Iv skipped all anomalies so I guess more tickets for me.
hoyo scoops up all the money with anomaly then comes new region they nerf the shit out of it and make something else better
All these Anomaly and we still have more Attack units lmao, including Harumasa and Miyabi in the count too 😂
Anomaly zone zero-attackers
We start with 2 anomaly characters and you wonder why they are releasing new anomaly characters
Fr they're just filling the missing spots
I'll enjoy it while it lasts, we all know how it goes with hoyo.
Finally got Yanagi.... took 85 pulls. And I was sweating on this 50/50.
Lucky you, it got 160 for me... I lost all my savings and feel like I won't get Miyabi... 😭
We're in Anomaly Meta. Simple. Its not that complicated.
Anomaly is the equivalent to nihility in star rail, quite unique class and their damage margin can compete with dps and destruction classes
Hell even summons teams have something in the way for them.
the only nihility dps is only kafka and nobody else tho. hsr just abandon nihility just like how genshin abandon cryo element.
? How say to me ever anomaly is some what unique enough its not anything special but it is incredibly useful to know
Ice is best for crit
Physical is best for daze
Ether has dot
Electric has dot but requires attacks also can stun.
Burn dot
This is all simple enough
Its incredibly simple but far superior to honkai star rails element system which is pretty boring and basic.
It cuts out all the reactions for more simple effects from genshin. And has physical being a more hyper carry elements
And burn and electric being more disorder focused
Ah yes, my favorite Thunder DPS character. HaraMOOsa. 🤦
For me, all i care about are big PP damages.
Doesn't matter if it's attack, anomaly whatever so long as it gets the job done.
💁🏻
Yea anomaly being f2p friendly is such a blessing, but ig most zzz players prefer unga bunga crit rate crit damage
I feel like each anomaly is different. Ice anomaly increases crit damage so I can see her need crit rate crit damage and anomaly prof. You wouldn’t want disorder for ice probably cause electrify and fire and ether are much better. So she has to be different in some way probably not disorder.
Nope, not gonna say much but her kit doesn’t need anomaly proficiency at all. Just need to build crit rate and attack
I love your content bro!!
I think skins or outfits for each S-rank would be an easy way for hoyo to make more $ out of the game. Unlock a cool skin for lvl 60, m3, and m6.
Just like how so many people were and are still so vocal about wanting Miyabi to be an Attacker when it would be dumb to release two S-Rank Attackers from the same faction back-to-back in Miyabi and Harumasa when thematically Harumasa really couldn't be anything else based on his design (an Attacker with two blades and a bow).🤦🏻♀

And yeah bud, they were sooo desperate to fill the gaps that they doubled two already existing roles 😂
And if only limited 5* counts as a "fiil the gap" (for some reason) then the attack branch has only two XD
@@yume750 I think we're comparing the amount of S-rank attackers vs S-rank anomalies here, and not just their element. Harumasa is coming as electro attacker too, so that should bring it up to 5 S rank attackers vs 5 S rank anomalies. It's as simple as that.

Based on the story arc with NEPS and the concept of Jane as a character she was either going to be Physical Attacker or Anomaly and they decided to to give Physical Anomaly an S-Rank agent. Plus we already have 3 Physical Attackers and only had a single A-Rank Physical Anomaly in Piper. They’re releasing S-Rank Anomaly agents for every Element atm when it makes sense to do so in the story.

As for Yanagi I already addressed her too. 🙄

Anomaly makes sense when the game has a smaller cast size. Mono teams require more agents.
damn its the third game and people are still complaing them pushing out more DPSs than utility units. lmao
Are we expecting an anomaly shortage soon?
Isnt anomaly just another type of DPS???
(Ik burnice is a sub dps but still a dps, so it just depends on their kit)
wuwa is dying faster than zzz tho xd and i think most people HATE anomaly and DISORDER they just want their big PP CRIT DPS NUMBERS

Just like Genshin is all about reactions, this game is all about Anomaly/Disorder.
Even Attackers like Ellen and Zhu end up doing more damage when Anomaly happens
It's even more noticeble on Ellen, since Freeze/Shatter increases Crit DMG.
However crafting is guaranteed S however would it be less S ranks then gambling since it takes more to craft 1 a to S?
just did on channel~
There's another a bit more scammy reason to push the anomaly first - it's very easy to handicap. We already have that ethereal shielder enemy that just don't have the anomaly ring on it. Sooner or later they will start to introduce more enemies that are completely immune to anomaly and you'll have to pull the classic crit dps to deal with them.
Guys... that's the entire game design. The problem is the endgame. The solution is gacha units.
@@CrimsonKaiserx8should be manageable for f2p unless you just drop the game and then come back you might be in trouble. They give about 100 pulls a patch. Try to invest horizontally and think critically when support units start coming out. Make sure you have elemental coverages. i wish instead of adding combined elements (like miyabi) they would add elemental interactions. i.e. if you disorder fire with ice you buff crit rate, disorder ice with fire you buff crit damage. it would make combinations of anomaly char work as a support for an attack, make freedom blues actually viable and increase the overall fun of the game exponentially.
@@gnarlyboyjai i'm just another dude lurking the leaks subreddit. i remember reading that she inflicts frostburn and that it has a DoT like fire. maybe it changed.
about breaking the game, just look at that charged attack that hits like an ult and it gets charged with disorders.. and yanagi can do a mock disorder with both her EX and ult.. yeah balance was never part of the equation this time around.
I agree with your theory on differentiating ZZZ in the market.
As of now it's a fact that WuWa's endgames mainly rely on massive crit valye in order to clear it as efficiently as possible. Like, skill issues aside even if your total base ATK is 1700-1800s you can still clear ToA with full marks if you have 60+ crit.rate and 240+ crit.dmg
ZZZ in the other hand, since 'focusing' on anomaly/disorder mechanic will make it seem like the level of character investment is 'easier' than WuWa since AP and ATK are what matters, it helps just enough to differentiate it from its direct competitor and to stall the powercreep from future crit DPSes
But then again, I can't help but wonder if this marketing strategy is in their roadmao in the first place regardless if they knew WuWa's official release date or not
Bro called Zzz and Wuwa unga bunga (both of which has parries and dodge animations with insane fast paced combat) and pointed out genshin mechanism as the answer to it lol...!!
I'm not against genshin here but genshin feels more unga bunga tbh
I don’t care about the reason, I hate the play style, I just want another crit dps please hoyo!!!
Harumasa is rumored to be free and so far his animations are incredible sick with a lot of expression and impact.
So cheap to build and yet very strong.
anomaly is so goated. no need to fish for crit stats, no need to depend on stun to deal dmg. i will never get another crit dps ever again lmao
A reminder we only had 2 anomalies when the game launched
Day 1 of reminding EOD that it's Harumasa not Haramusa
