Hands down the worst and most boring boss fight in the game. Some one must have been having a bad day while desinging her boss fight.

Donald keeps throwing the fight! He keeps taking massive amounts of damage, and Goofy uses all of his potions on Donald instead of on me.

I think the length of stop magic may, in fact, be linked to your maximum MP.

About casting stop, the reason why you might miss all 3 with a single stop cast is because of the option "auto-target". It's set by default and will help you target the nearest enemy with whatever action you are doing. The issue with this is that any magic cast will be centered at the enemy, which means that the stop radius starts at the enemy targeted and not at Sora. Turning off auto-target will ensure that unless you are locked onto an enemy, you can cast magic at Sora. Regardless, I wouldn't suggest this method, with high magic enough you can spam Blizzard to catch all 3 monkeys and if any escapes you can spam Thunder to catch it in time.

Ive been stuck on this fight for hours now, it ridiculous just how hard it is. Really trying to enjoy this game but the difficulty of it all is making it hard for me to get into this franchise and becoming a fan. Truly this game is something i wont revisit once i finish it. Too frustrating.

Despite running a magic build for most of the game, I found this fight significantly easier with an attack based loadout and simply stacking plenty of fire restistance. The Ifrit Belt from the white trinity in Agrabah's Cave of Treasure is perfect. Add another generic fire resist item on top, use your MP primarily to upkeep Aero, cure once or twice if needed and just keep whacking her. No idea how well this "facetanking" strategy works on proud mode, I very much assume a bit more finesse and defensive play will be needed, but it's enough to make the fight trivial on normal difficulty.

Aero, wait for him to vanish and come to you, block when close, ars arcanum until he goes invulnerable again. REPEAT 🗿

I gave one last chance to Kingdom Heart Licence, then it was this boss fight...i uninstalled all the 3 game. I will never touched this shit again. No offense for the fan of the saga.

I just beat her and found that thunder/thundara rings are very helpful, especially on proud mode, but I'd also recommend taking off any combo pluses and using the Wishing Star keyblade, as every final hit is a critical.

Funny thing, I never really had trouble with Ansem-Riku, infact, I often think it's the most fun boss fight of KH1. It feels basically like facing Riku at Destiny Island but with the balance shifted in Sora's favor, Riku started the game with Block and a payback-type attack, Ansem-Riku has access to dark version of Sora's moves (Helm Split for Blitz, Dark Firaga for Fira, Scourge for Vortex, Darkhand for Berserk, Shock Slash for Strike Raid, and Dark Aura for Sonic Blade and a little bit of Stun Impact), but this time Sora has access to abilities Ansem-Riku don't, notably Cure magic, Dodge Roll, Second Chance, and Leaf Bracer

If you’re coming from the steam release. Make sure you go back to traverse town and upgrade Goof and Don’s weapons and buy some potions and this guy is easy mode. Good luck soldier 🗝️

I thought trying to figure out where to go in this game was BS but man this boss makes you want to quit the game uninstall it and never want to touch it again then drive the developers and make sure they never ever are allowed to make a game again

In all honesty, Goofy with MP Gift makes the Phantom pretty easy. If you want a challenge, use Donald.

I somehow got out of invitation to nothing at the last second with 1 hp, then proceeded to beat him. That was my first try, and I've never been able to get out of invitation to nothing consistently since.

Regarding the Chimera, I actually ran into it before I ever activated that Red Trinity, so I can confirm it still can appear!

Me on proud mode (first play through not lying I actually mostly only tried using Kingdom King and no Areo) “*Sees Ansem Riku* Finally A WORTHY OPPONENT **ARE BATTLE WILL BE LEGENDARY!!!**” I ended up dying at least a handful or two hand fulls

I only got a couple of packs when I was around 10 years old. Unfortunately, there was no one available to play the game. If square Enix made a reboot of this card game you know I will be playing it.
