The Best Off Grid Drip Irrigation For Watering Fruit Trees!
How do you water newly planted fruit trees? We'll show you a quick, simple method with items that you probably have sitting around anyway. When you want to conserve water or simply make sure all that water gets to your tree without running all over the rest of the area, this is the best way.

Not a long video but very important information! If you live full time off grid, what are you doing for hot water? Some options might not be the best! It depends on your water source and other factors. We have been using an Ecotemp L10 for 3 years and are on our second one. Actually it's three, but one got frozen (oops). Is this the best option for us with a well? Tune in to find out. Our Amazo...
DIY Hoophouse Build. Preparing To Grow a Year's Worth of Food on Our Off Grid Homestead

Growing a year's worth of food takes a lot of planning and dedication. Gardening is a passion of mine so the work is enjoyable. Dan built me a small seedling house as well as a hoop house/high tunnel to be able to extend the garden season by a few weeks in the spring and again in the fall. By moving North we lost several weeks of growing season because of the frost dates but we are trying to ad...

Why You Need DC Appliances Now!

Rrot cellar?more like a stocked whole foods! Great job!
The little cabin is awesome. The root cellar is really nice. You both make a great team. I enjoyed the music as well. Thank you for sharing.
Can you help me do this?
so warm and comfy nice work
Thank you and thanks for watching! 😊
Nice work!!!
Thank you! 😊
I enjoyed what little mint plants I had in an old tub given to me by a neighbor…so fragrant. But I did not take care of them and they died very quickly. Neglect will kill them.
Yes, they smell absolutely wonderful! I love the taste just as much. Thanks for watching! 😊
I think it’s great but I would not stay anywhere I could not use a bathroom at least to do what our bodies need us to do: toilet. I’ll come to your house for the shower but in the middle of the night…… well I sure don’t need a shower but that toilet would come in handy, even compost.
Not sure what @joanndavis4843 had a problem with but I am thoroughly enjoying t is video. I’ll kindly “like” and comment for her. Thank you. I’ll subscribe too
We are building a new, on grid house but im still putting these stoves pretty high on the consideration list for a couple of reasons. One, we can still cook during power outages. They are rare, but we've had a few that were over a week long in the last ten years with major storms. The other thing, and the more important one, is that theses stove have minimal electronics in them. It seems most appliances lately fail due to control circuit failures. For something as critical in life as being able to prepare food, I really want simple, robust designs that just work and are easily field repairable if the need ever arises.
I think that’s a great idea! Thanks for watching! 😊
add a 100w solar panel their only like 50 bucks or cheaper plus like a 10 dollar cord and will keep that jackery going no prob also use usb lights they are a lot easier on power.
Thanks for the suggestions and thank you for watching. 😊
Very well thought out you guys.. Great job
Thank you and thanks for watching! 😊
What kind of metal was it you used on your ceiling? I like how shiny it is. Would like to use in my tiny cabin .
It’s corrugated metal panels from Home Depot. It’s near the other steel products. Thanks for watching! 😊
Man's Cave...must have shitter... TV and refrigerator full of beer...piss on the vegetables 😐
I would rather live in a stink hole in Georgia or Tennessee than the biggest mansion in Michigan. What do you think of that?
We don’t necessarily disagree with you, this state is in the toilet. Thanks for watching anyway.
I love what i see. Well done. Would more then enough for me to life Off Grid.
Thank you and thanks for watching! 😊
Indoor plumbing with toilet, sink, shower, tub and kitchen are simply a MUST.
Thank you 🙏🏻
Love seeing all your jars!!
Me too! 😄Thanks for watching!
None of that made sense. Thank god its a shed. Stop bending your tape, it has its own measurement usually 3 or 3-1/8 inch
Nice lil set up!
That you and thanks for watching! 😊
how much was the build?
About $42 a square foot. 😊
NO PEE POT ?
It’s just a short walk away. Kind of like camping. Thanks for watching.
Garden and property look awesome......great tip on the bucket watering method, I know it will help someone. Best wishes
Thank you! 😊

Thanks so much!
Yeah living in a box not for me that's to small
It is too small for living, it was built to cover the root cellar and for visitors to spend a night or two. Thanks for watching
Do you have a heater in the root cellar? Well done👏
No we don’t have heat in the cellar. It has never frozen. Thanks for watching! 😊

Probably my favorite video of the spring, so far. Love this time of year. I think it's so smart to plant fruit trees and establish a nice orchard early on a homestead. It'll pay dividends for years to come. Thanks for sharing. Really enjoy the gardening and outdoors content.

We’re doing great! Thanks for watching! 😊
The root cellar under the guest cabin is a great idea. I’m a fellow Michigander.
Thank you! And thanks for watching. 😊
I love lilacs!!!!! I don't have any at my new property.
I can’t wait for them to bloom. They smell fantastic! Thanks for watching. 😊
My two favorites seasons are spring and autumn. I love the renewing of everything in the spring. The leaves on the trees all the new baby animals all the birds that leave because of the deep snow are back with their songs. What’s not to like that’s a great idea on the trickle watering system with the 5 gallon buckets, even if you’re on community water, it will help you not us as much and still get the same effect. That’s what I’m doing here right now is getting a new garden area set up with fencing to keep the deer and the elk out yeah I’m going to use some raised beds eventually. Not sure how far I will get before we head up to our cabin in the UP to get some work done on that I’ve got three trips planned this year hopefully our first one will be around memorial weekend and the following week. I introduced my wife to rhubarb a couple of years ago when I planted one out front. We really like apple, rhubarb and strawberry rhubarb pies.
This should be my first strawberry and rhubarb harvest this year from this garden. Strawberry rhubarb pie is definitely a favorite here also! 😊
As always, your videos do not disappoint.
Thank you Mike! 😊
I have noted the fact that your boxes were holding moisture. I will use that info to make changes Thanks
It changed everything almost instantly when I got those boxes out of there. Glad it was useful information. Thank you for watching. 😊
@@ADifferentKindofQuiet thank you again. I own our family home which has a full basement. We use geothermal for heating. Last year the geo went wonky and we had to wait for parts, in the summer. Moisture and mildew……but now I can get rid of all moisture retaining products down there, including taking down the old ceiling and replacing it. MUCH THANKS
Thanks for showing us around the garden this morning. Your tips will definitely be handy. Your videography in the beginning was such a delight. It brought back a lot of memories when we resided up north. Take care & God Bless. ❤
I’m glad you enjoyed it. I’d have to say that I love the spring peepers most! 🐸
Thanks for sharing a bit of northern Michigan. Enjoyed your planting tips from down here in the palm of the mitten with a cup of coffee. Looks like a beautiful weather day for you today. Enjoy!
Things are finally beginning to have some green! With this warm weather it should pop those leaves out quickly. Glad you enjoyed it. 😊
Great bug out cabin, particularly with all the food. Thanks
Thanks for watching! 😊
Isn’t it funny the moment you put up each piece of insulation you can feel the thermal impact?
Yes, it’s amazing how it changes especially in a small space. Thanks for watching. 😊
That's awesome!
Thank you and thanks for watching! 😊
Are you guys in the l.p. Or the u.p.? We live in Emmet county in the l.p. Great channel!

I'm currently using a portable one. May go the wall mount route. Thanks again.

Thank you! And thanks for watching. 😊
Yuppertube! Love it.. 😁
What do the guests do when they need to use the restroom?
They will know ahead of time that it is like camping. 😁The outhouse is a short walk away. Thanks for watching.
