Thank you so.much for the rich history. I learnt a lot. Most of our history has not been documented and is usually shared by word of mouth. We need to properly preserve this history in a proper way for our future generations. Could ypu also do another presentation on how all the bemba tribes came about i.e in Luapula and Northern Provinces

Well-done. I enjoyed watching the documentary and learning lots about facts that I’d otherwise known differently. Here is a question; we were taught in Junior Secondary History that the Ngoni’s were defeated by the Bembas led by Chileshe Chepela and the Ngoni’s ran away with a Bemba Princess who later became one of Mpezeni’s wives and that’s the source of the tribal cousinship. Is this true?

This is best Bemba history I have ever come across, very accurate, Bembas are from the Kongo Kingdom and they just came to be an integral part of the Lubas not that they were Luba by birth. The point of correction the map were it is said that the bemba is the largest ethnic group not every tribe there is bemba. For example the copper belt tribe is not affiliated to bemba. Putting copper belt to Bemba grouping is political. T

Thank you for watching and leaving your comment Ba Kenneth ! Yes the map shows areas where Bemba is spoken and that’s why I had to state in the narration that it’s Bemba and those with languages closely related to Bemba. In this regard and context , the map is accurate especially considering that the Copperbelt is Lamba land yet they speak Bemba.
