Malls in America are slowly closing down yet in Canada the Malls still thrive with business and customers.

My Dad worked at Sears at the outside warehouse from the late 60's to the late 70's. He would get tickets to the Golf Mill Theater and I remember seeing Jim Nabors there as a kid. I remember the large Koi fish in the pond outside the mall.

I moved to South Elgin, IL in 2000. I was only in this mall once during the 2000's and it was dying then.

I went to TGI Friday's once. I think their frozen food used to be pretty good. I did see they now have more frozen food at Walmart. Pricey now though. What I like about this building was the bushes out front. They were pretty. I wonder if another restaurant could go in there?

Arby's on route 59 Plainfield closed and boarded up Monday! My wife and i just ate dinner there on Friday night. You would have never known that they were closing! So sad. Joliet/Plainfield illinois has no more Arbys and curly fries! SAD.

I used to go there a often. It was a really nice mall. Then it went dark. It's destroyed now. What a shame. I would not go there if the stores were giving items for free. Soros kee wees yip yip. 🕶️

It was a nice hotel back in the day..still empty now. Last it was being used was where people lived there by the week or by the month Then they had to all move out because it got condemned.

I grew up just east of here off of Rt 30/ Lincoln Highway. St James hospital used to be across the street before they tore it down. Chicago Heights has been going downhill for decades now, and unless gentrification decides to happen to it, I don’t think that’ll change. I’m so happy I don’t live here anymore!

I used to live a few blocks down from this Kmart. I lived in that house for a few years. My childhood consisted of always running errands for my mom and going to Kmart on my bike. And I would walk around the whole store looking at toys, bikes, and video games. I remember buying Pokémon cards, transformers toys, PS3 games and Nintendo DS games. I also remember eating in the little cafeteria with my mom one time. I also remember across the street where this vape place is now next to the tanning salon was this store full of movies, kinda like a little block buster with a nice Polish lady. This Kmart was one of the biggest highlights of my childhood. I am now 22 years old and every single day I think about this place and how happy I was as a kid and how I’d do anything to go back in time and experience it one last time.

How many of yall remember playing in that pit there by the triangle water fountains as kids, so many great memories <3

I was mad when Arby's stopped selling their potato cakes and their arb-a-Q (BBQ) Sammy's.

Usually it's the other way around these stores go to the Internet so you don't have to pay employees and rent. But Wayfair a while ago was selling children like trafficking them. Ide stay far away from that place

I love their blooming onions. But their steaks were mediocre. They never knew how to cook a proper steak to medium rare.

Arby's is delicious

The, Arby's locations in the Detroit and Southeastern Michigan area. Are still open for business, and none have Closed. You, can have all the Roast Beef and Curly Fries 🍟 😋 you want to eat. The Arby's in your video is an old school Arby's, from the 1990's. 3:50

They closed the one in Glen Ellyn about two weeks ago. I was open one day and the next day is just like your video and with a fence around it.

They recently closed the one on Cicero ave By Ford City in Chicago and the one on Cicero Ave & 111th in Oak Lawn as well.

It's sad that a lot of malls are closing down now. I remember back in the middle 2000s growing up where everyone in my generation would go there after high school.

Randhurst was my favorite shopping mall... Great to be alive in the 90's...🥹

Outback is ok i like texas Roadhouse better too have you ate at texas Roadhouse before

Texas Roadhouse is cheaper and better.
