Sad, so many memories there, Dr. Max and Mombo, the Arcade, 1st Press on T-shirt, 1st digital printout of my 1yr old daughter - now 42, brothers band [Kurfew] 1st public appearance, coat shopping with girlfriend, living across La Porte Rd where the Welcome to Waterloo sign is, picking up a Sears riding lawn mower, seeing Star Wars and Rocky, etc. etc. ..Now a Ghost Town, amazing.
I grew up and lived in Waterloo until i was around 12/13(2001). I remember trips with my dad and getting that lemonade. My mom worked in the dollar tree and I hung out there some nights. I was just looking for videos from my hometown and found this depressing mall video lol. All malls are on the verge of closing. Even almost 25yrs my mall where i live now is just a glorified flea market with a massive arcade/bowling/sports entertainment center. If we lost that the mall would definitely be done.
Crossroads was a mall I used to like to visit when Dillard's was in there. It used to have a Scheel's in it too. It's so sad that all the anchors gone. In the 1990s, they remodeled it for Dillard's - added the mall elevator, had a Gap store and an Old Navy outside. I am thankful you got to see it once though.
Crossroads Mall is also the name of the mall in the 2004 remake of Dawn of the Dead. With all these malls closing where are we supposed to go when the zombie apocalypse happens?
Another good footage of a beautiful dying mall in the Midwest. Love the music in the background. Good choice 👍. Another struggling mall that Namdar has failed to make a plan to revitalize it. This is getting really sad to see all these malls dying and owners not having any initiative to recreate or revitalize the malls.
There is a Chinese restaurant is open in the mall also. The air conditioning has been out almost all summer, so bath band body works is rarely open because of the heat.
The best thing to come out of that mall is geno’s pizza. Honestly the best pizza i’ve ever had and don’t get me started on the cheese bread. Edit: 8:17 there isn’t any music that plays anymore anyways
Well after the zombie apocalypse this to be expected 😅 the biggest reason for this is thefts, and online shopping but my question is with all the business leaving all over the place whats going to happen when a solar flair kills the online shopping with all stores gone and no online then what ? Did anyone think of that possibility are we prepared? I don't think so
Trying to be greedy America built way too many malls. They didn't think about what the future of malls would come to this is greed leads you to we don't need them anymore

I literally grew up in here in the 80s, sad to see but it's been in decline for so long... 😢
Another gem. The United States as a whole is going down the toilet
Shame seeing this place where i grew up and went to this mall many many times. There was so much life now totally deserted

2:44 Cue the LFD2 Banjo...SMOKER!!
I was not much of a mall shopper, but I hate to see these places (Or any businesses) die.

Looks like the mall off of Tim and Eric's billion dollar movie.
Waterloo, IA area can't catch a break with both of the malls being owned by Namdar
Why are dead malls sad? This gave me so much melancholy
Looks like Iowa's version of Spring Hill Mall.
Crossroads mall won't be there for long
It is just to easy to sit in front of the computer shopping one click and you are done!!!! Time to take a nap!!
Come to vero beach fl we got one pretty close lol
Wow
Gordmans takeover owner bealls, which had other nameplates still surviving this day as now a stand-alone company, they just shed all but their own.
No food court?

That mall is uh......... sad looking.
Namdar is just as terrible as Moonbeam.
Mall Aholic, I heard that the Express at Geneva Commons was closing…
Without Sears, Radio Shack, and arcades, there is nothing fun about malls. No babes anymore, and too many thugs throwing around too much profanity.
Is that your mall
No
First! Pin??
