There's an abandoned Burger King on 79th & Harlem. Next to Speedway Gas Station ⛽. I remember Burger King used to be in a different location in Romeoville back in the 1970's. My cousins and I would walk to Burger King from Karen Street and we didn't have to cross the street. This one is at a different location than the one I remember. Those were the days....😊
This just closed a few weeks ago. Literally in business one day and they had the place cleaned out 2 days later. I always said “ how can that place stay in business…nobody was ever there!”
this was one of the worst burger king locations, and thats really saying something. staff was rude and it took longer to get your food than it would at a real restaurant
Great video. Cant believe they stripped everything. Wonder if the new Burger King being built in Romeoville on weber by Farm and Fleet is the same owners?
Remember this still being open as late as a year and a half ago, surprised this location lasted as long as it did. Also, did you get to see the recently abandoned McDonald's on Route 53 just south of the I-55 interchange?
Thank you for filming! I do remember when Burger King had play areas. That location is definitely not a good one. I know BK does a lot of advertising on TV these days too.
Just recently the Franchise Owner of the Burger King 🤴 located on the Detroit/Eastpointe City Limits. Has opened his Burger King 🤴 24,Hours, and the only competing is a White Castle 🏰 across the street. You have a choice either a ,Burger King 🤴 Whopper,or White Castle 🏰 Sliders. This, is the only Burger King 🤴 that is Open Hours in the Detroit and Southeastern Michigan area 7:46
I used to not live far from this Burger King. This location has been there close to 30 years or at least 25 years because I ate there with my daughter in the late 1990's early 2000's. I remember when the intersection where this Burger King is at I55 and Weber was absolutely nothing other than the Shell station on the north side of the interstate back in the early 1990's. I agree that it is difficult to get to. The easiest way was to turn on the frontage road and then do a u turn to go back west to get into the parking lot. I lived in bolingbrook for a good 5 years and I never recalled this location being very busy at all. Considering that there is or was a McDonald's and a white castle there too. They have been talking for at least 10 or 15 years about redoing that entire intersection because the traffic there can be a nightmare. So with poor access and the amount of traffic that backs up behind the frontage road, I can see why they decided to shut down the location.

go try and visit abandoned mcdonalds in 1225 Collingwood Blvd, Toledo, Ohio
I ate at that Burger King once back in the Summer of 2005
This reminds you of a McDonald's kind of set up to wonder if it was maybe a McDonald's before it became a burger king
