Red Robin closed November 5th, 2022. Their lease was through November 2023, but left a year earlier because Namdar told them they were not going to renew their lease in 2023 so they left early
i had lunch here on my last day of elementary school, my babysitter took me and my brother out to lunch and then we went to the arcade that used to be in the mall as well. sad to see the mall go, used to be super fun to go to as a kid. i remember seeing cars 2 in the movie theatres there and riding around on the train and the carousel with my grandma as a little kid. once when i was like 6 i got a darth vader costume at the disney store that was there and then paraded around the mall in it for the rest of the day. good times man, this place was a huge part of my childhood.
When I filmed here over the holidays, right as I finished up by the food court an announcement came over the PA that no filming and photos were allowed and anyone caught would be asked to leave. Guess I should have been honored they made a PA announcement just for me? lol Never saw any security and I covered what I needed to at that point so just left. Interestingly enough I came back this week to film and there were a couple of Bloomingdale officers walking around with me and the mall walkers and several police vehicles outside. But no announcements and we all just kind of minded our business. There was an early voting center setup so maybe that led to a higher presence. Or just the fact that announcement came out. I don't know. But what are you going to really "trespass" at this point lol? I think there was a jewelry store left open and that was it.
When I was there I didn't hear any announcements. Everybody was minding their own business. I even ran into a fan that saw me in action. Even if an announcement came and I would have kept on filming.
I dont rhink ill ever be able to cope with the closinf of this mall! I just prefer to think its still packed and noisy.....just that i dont have time to visit.

I've been past this Red Robin a million times. Those Namdar scumlords took Stratford Square down hard, and I'll never not be upset about that.

I was just there yesterday and I recorded that Red Robin, idk why but the inside smelled like something was burning

Good video, just wanted to tell you that I just seen that a Freddy’s Frozen Custard just recently closed in Orland Park on 159th St, quite a Surprise.
