Hey K I got my red 765RS a couple of months ago and like you, just love it. Thought I’d give you a recommendation to try a bike that I tested yesterday; the Triumph Rocket 3 Storm. It’s a little left-field, but what an awesome piece of kit - 180bhp and 220nm of torque 😮 Cheers Mark B 🇬🇧

My first Ducati was a 2000 Monster M900ie. First year of fuel injection for Ducati in the Monster. It was a fun bike around town but just had no get up and go when you really twisted the throttle. looks like the more modern Ducatis don't have that issue. Went from that to my first Triumph, a Daytona 955i, which seems to be one of the slower Daytonas. Wish i would have held out for a 675, Hindsight is a bitch tho. Good to see someone's first impressions of the 765. Great video.

The monster 👹 is a completely different animal from The triumph, so much More fun to Ride and it gives you a feeling that makes you want to Hit All the time.. The triumph is a smooth criminal but it gets left behind when it's time to get into a little trouble the wild side is coming out.....

For 2025 models are gonna be neon colors and let me tell you Man they look sexy as hell..... check them out

If I ever decide to buy a naked Id go hands down with the CB1000R… only thing that I cant stand on that bike is how the seat somewhat hangs over just an annoying bit over the tail light… off course regardless of the cylinders…

Wow, I didn't know ducati had done a sports bike so close to the triple. They do look VERY similar.

Change the colour to orange use style 1 and tilt it for a better view. This is the best setting I have found. 👍

Here you go.. every one send something like this: To anyone at Triumph who cares what your customers think and hopefully to someone who can make a difference. I will not be the first to contact you about the 1% of this wonderful bike that isn't so wonderful - The Dashboard screens, they're embarrassing. I am now on my second Street Triple 765 (RS this time) 2023, but it may very well be the last bike I ever own (age and money and all that). It's the Carnival Red and even after 10 months I still get butterflies just knowing she's there waiting for me to ride. But the the 4 dash layouts are pretty much universally despised by riders, a strong word for sure, but I suspect that when the rest of the bike is so awesome, to have to look down at any of the available screens is a constant dissapointment whilst riding the machine. So whilst it's only 1% of the bike that is a fail in form and function, it 'feels' so much more as that's a key interaction with the bike. And yes it is both a Form and function failure, whether it's the stupidly tiny fonts throughout, the 'I have no idea what revs I'm in layout' ... Mirrored TWICE!!!!!, the vast amounts of unused space, the 'the Total Miles is hidden somewhere' and so on, there is not a single 'saving grace' about the current layouts. Why, in fact how on earth did even one of the layouts get approved, never mind four of the same similarly designed abominations. Was it a case of nepotism? YTS? care in the community? under 5's pre-school competition. Seriously they are all that bad, and I am fairly sure many at Triumph will already be well aware of the general feeling and the fact that Triumph does nothing about it is awful. So here's a thought, if you have to keep these childish, unreadable, 4 dash layouts, then find do so, but please let the adult motorcyclists produce a couple and give us the update. And if you can't be bothered to put much effort into keeping your customers happy, then simply look at Kawasaki, Honda... in fact almost any other similiarly style dash and plagiarise their layouts. And before you reply with 'most customers seem to like', just spend 30 minutes googling or youtubing this topic. I know nothing will be done, given some of the more influential feedback you've already had that I am aware of, but at least now I can say 'I tried', which is more than the Triumph Screen Design department did.

I've wrapped the heel guards in vinyl to match the Carnival red. I made my own wheel tape with the same vinyl. Added red flash on rear black tail section too. Installed evotech rad guard and bar ends (much smaller than your monsterous things, but fairly effective). Installed the carbon effect RS over tank ones to add protection and looks). Installed a cover to hide the back of dash wiring (as I don't care for the bikini screen and fairing) Still hoping one day Triumph will provide a 5th display option ... one for grown ups

The screen is an absolute disaster. Coming from a Ninja 1000SX that is possibly the best form/function on the market, the 765 is awful. Many reviewers agree, but it's frequently just a throwaway comment. The salesman told me that Triumph are doubling down on updating the display despite the prolific number of complaints. Your comparison to an 'Arcade game' is pretty good. I think the issue is that every option is the same stupid layout and a complete waste of available screen. Why not provide 4 very different layouts. Given here in the UK at least, 80% of its owners need reading glasses, only amplifies the ridiculous fonts and layouts.

I have service inclusive with my r1250gsa and this was probably replaced 2 times but the ticking is still there, I wonder why. It was still under warranty so didnt pay anything for it.

What tires are you running and do you like them? Also what Arai are you running?

I bought a 2008 Yamaha FZ1 in 2009 with 14,000 miles on it. It was the best riding, most fun bike I had ever rode, and I have sudden many different motorcycles. None could compare overall to my FZ1. I put over 30,000 miles on it and enjoyed every mile. It was powerful and could get to 150mph quickly. The near upright seating was much more comfortable than the lean forward riding position of true sport bikes. It was super reliable and looked great especially after a few mods. I added an aftermarket exhaust, brass air intake screen and yamaha lower fairing and custom altered with better padding drivers seat and some new adjustable levers. I loved the gold colored wheels. It was then awesome in every way and in my experience one of the best motorcycles ever made. Cudo's to Yamaha for making this fantastic sport touring bike.

Yo Ken, did it come with the mid link pipe? I have the 1250 GSA and the pipe is huge in comparison to some end can fitments. Thanks.

You've done all the reasonable, tasteful mods. I'm not far behind you. I wound up doing the Zard exhaust. Originally did the Racefit, and it was too high pitched, and way too loud, 135dB, too much for my personal taste. Bikes looking good man, now ride the F out of it!

Rizoma bar end mirrors. Rock solid, no more high speed shake. They’re actually usable at 75 mph.

I enjoy the videos, and you could talk about other subjects (racing, other hobbies or even world events) while out and about on the triple or KZ. I was contemplating putting on some decals on the rims....maybe painting the frame just below the seat a different color than gray

Loved the vid Ken. Thank you. You know what my riding experience is like because you have the KZ. They are from a different time. The thing that really stands out to me is the agility of the triple. I just can't imagine what it is like to ride a bike so agile. I was talking to another guy doing a video about his Ducati in lots of turns and he was saying the balance of the new bikes really is decades ahead of the old bikes. The triple is just a really, really great bike for it's segment. Triumph did a great job. I wish you a good day and safe riding! Summer is coming up and you should get some great rides in!

What bar ends are you using? Do they reduce vibration? Are they wide enough to prevent the mirrors from damage in a crash?

Looks great! I think you forgot your cruise control and grips. I have everything you have except the exhaust. In addition I have Triumph heated grips (luv them!), red Triumph chain adjuster blocks, Bluetooth module, TPMS, Motodynamic flush mount front turn signals, Motodynamic integrated tail light, Motodynamic tail tidy, and Puig swingarm spools (red). I’m happy with the stock exhaust. I agree that the display could be better, however I figured out how to use the adjustable shift indicator to let me know when I’m approaching redline or whatever RPM I want to shift at. I think the Triumph engineers designed the display to be used this way. This must be true because the numbers are too small. Check my channel out.

No Ken, you don't want a rack on the triple for baggage. I had one of those racks on the back with a vertical and horizontal piece out the back of my Z650. This meant that a passenger had something to stop them from sliding off. But also I had books and sh@t I had to take to university. And I would drive 440kms to visit my girlfriend so I needed some luggage space. I had non waterproof canvas panniers and a backpack I used to strap to the rack. I did a trip to Queensland for a holiday when I was 19 and loaded up the Z650. Very practical. Not sexy at all. And it disturbs the air and looks bad...you don't want that. That is such a sexy nice bike. I hope that I have a chance to ride one on a track one day before I die. If I ride one on the road I will die! LOL!.
