Love it! I have a 78’ 650 and have spent a lot of time making it mine. They are such a blast to ride and very easy to maintain with parts being plentiful.
Great ride! It’s so worthwhile to protect one of these old gems. Really good modifications. Ride it at least monthly to keep ethanol from locking up the carbs.
Kenny, Kenny, Kenny.....this video really made my day seeing it pop up. This so reminds me of riding my bike. That view of the speedo and tacho. I spent so many hours on my Z650. The note on it is very, very nice as well. Yes, it's not a fast bike or a muscle bike. But you can ride them all day. Very comfortable. It will run along at 100mph all day. You are right. They are cool, cool bikes. I can understand why you love it.
I agree about the cruising feeling of the kz650. It makes you want to just cruise and chill out. It is extremely peppy for what and when it was made but still makes you want to chill out when riding. I love the the way the kz650 inline four sounds. A little loud but I feel its in a good way. The reason I believe its a little strange to call it a cruiser is because it is a bit of a higher raving engine. It makes its power in a different rpm range than most typical cruisers.
Yep, I owned one back in the day as a university student. Very smooth. Very comfortable. They were a great mid-tier bike. Kens KZ brings back many good memories.

I agree, it needs rpm to to pull hard. Still a nice bike to ride slow.
Smooth ride!
