I have seen people use an old window which they painted black on the underside for the reflection pool. They use a strip or two of silicone as the wall. It allows for much less water.

Doing things a bit different in terms of cheap and I like that. My Vivaro is on similar lines, but the R&R bed/Smev kitchen swivel double seat route and 8 years on coming up to 200 nights for me, the wife and a dog named Boo. Thanks for sharing.

I bought a T6 nearly 6 years ago to use as an overnight bed for my photography. I figured I could travel to a destination late evening for a sunrise shoot the next morning. Since then we’ve moved house twice, I changed my job, and family issues has left it still as a Kombi ( 3 seats up front, 3 seats in the rear with a huge boot space ). Your van is a perfect example of how simple a conversion can be, it does everything you need it to, and keeps it inexpensive 👏👏👏

We have beavers here locally on the Stour i hope to follow in your footsteps I didnt realise they would be active in daylight thats encouraging !

I really admire those who do a van build on a budget and especially those who recycle/reuse old furniture and materials. The build is functional but not overly complicated while still looking like a nice place to work and relax. Well done, I like it a lot.

Im curious about your reflection pond. Havent seen any photos from it. Did you give up on that idea? Awsome video.

Nice video….was that shot in Glencoe? That is one hell of a drive…. Keep the good work going and follow your passion. One top tip, try to go during the rutting season, they give their position away for miles as you hear them bellowing across the glens.. it is a sight and sound to behold, gives me goosebumps every time.

You can also use a pop-up hunting blind instead of a suit. It will hide your movements as well and you can move around better while waiting. Imho

If photgograhic hides, help in re estaboishing native species then that can only be a good thing, i think hides are a part of that process, and its give photgorpahers and others a direct connection to nature and our environment.

Just love those puffins, some great images Richard. I’ve heard about Skomer but never been, needless to say its now on my list👌 btw i noticed that your neoprene camera sleeves have stitched edges, what make are they please?

good tip photographing seabirds - you can wait hours for that great shot or set up tripod hi res - picnic chair sardine sandwiches lots of them and flask of tea - think its the smell - have in hand cable shutter release - silent one - obviously feeding the birds is against the rules, but if they help themselves what can we do also songbirds jays, magpies, a bag of warm crusty bread and sunflower hearts - works everytime - ex BBC art director
