Lol, I do the same, every journal I have has mini prayers to God, even my diary will hime mini moments of prayer between. It's so cool to have met someone that does the same <3

Honestly, this journal can not house the entirety of my prayers, you know I talk wayyy to much 😂 It’s more like a summary to document my walk with the LORD. I love looking back and just getting those feels of how amazing He is😍 I’ve missed upon so much my sissy, Lord knows I always think of you 🤍 I spotted so many Christian notebooks and planners here for school season and kept thinking how Kat would have a ball picking out the prettiest pink and pastel ones and the mugs too, I always think of you when I see one and imagine it filled with one of those gross moringa teas. I’ll never drink a natural flavored one again 😂 chocolate or apple flavored at least for me

You are the sweetest! Your comments always make my day! 🥰 Even though this prayer journal can't house the entirety of my day's prayers, I do enjoy having at least a summary of them written down. I can at least keep track of my growth and continue my process of learning how to hear God. Strangely, I tend to forget a lot about what I pray for (honestly, I have a bad memory over all) and I definitly don't want to forget the God moments. When I skipped writing for a month, I felt so close to him, but I also can't remember what God put in my heart that month. I completely forgot about what my prayers consisted of, but I do remember the feelings 🤍 Maybe forgetting is just God giving me peace 😂 Ahh thank you! I didn't even notice I was close to 4k until last night after uploading. It was so exciting to see! I remember posting my first few videos thinking no one would ever see them, lol! @@FrenchyInFocus This morning after seing your prayer journal I just turned around my commonplace journal (Midori A6 in Hobonichi cover) and started prayer journaling. Going through a tough time right now and God lead me to Psalm 31a couple of days ago. Didn´t want to forget that special moment. His peace. It felt good journaling out my prayers. I´m so happy to have found you, my friend.

@@MidlifeByKirstin I love this so much! Sometimes it's nice to write things out especially when it's a tough season. I feel like it's so easy for the tough stuff to overshadow the blessings we do have, even if it doesn't feel like we have any. There's always something good that God gives us daily. Ah Psalm 31 is one I've leaned on so many times. I'm glad we have these psalms to help us. I 'm so sorry you're going through a tough time too. I will be adding you to my prayers, right now! @@StationeryDumpling I’m still using this hobo too but more for fun I guess. I refuse to use my good pens with this paper. I’ve been using random ink samples I don’t love and a cheap fp. This paper is not worthy 😂 I feel so guilty for tossing the first half and feel like I wasted so much money on this system that I have to at least do something with the second half. Are you still gonna buy hobonichi next year? Or will you just bullet journal with the good hobonichi notebooks? I’m so conflicted 😐

Oh no! I thought they were all Sanzen and she had the better quality version of this inconsistent paper. Well that kinda ruins my 2025 plans lol I saw her offering a new b6 slim and was fully convinced. I'm truly surprised that something similar doesn't exist already. What are we going to do???

@@FrenchyInFocusher website says it’s Sanzen for 2024. The one I have is the b6 half year and it’s definitely not the old TRP. I was excited about it too, and it felt nicer to write in. But then I ran into bad pages in the blank pages section and am bummed again. 😢

@@StationeryDumpling I agree it’s def not OGTRP. I just ran into a a bad page this morning 😒 I mean at least it’s a bit more consistent than hobonichi’s. I bulk purchased these JIYU inserts so I’m set for this TN version of my journaling for a good while, but I still want a bound book though. I remember the hesitation in your voice when you were unboxing your sterling video. I kept thinking this girl is my twin with these TRP papers, why are we such paper snobs!! 😂 I really need to stop being a lurker and hop on my phone to start commenting on your videos! I totally forgot that this would be the last year of OG TRP. I love how you use your tns! I actually have that book somewhere, I've never used it. I definitly need to find it now! That's such a good idea! I am the same way I need to keep work and private separately. I like to just my iPad for work, using digital calendars and notebooks since things change so much. I prefer analog, but for work it's easier since it since to all my devices and I can delete everything vs shredding. My tns and notebooks are my happy places. I don't need or want any stress in there, lol You have the blue Kyoto!! I've always wanted that one! In my opinion that one is the most beautiful edition they released so far. Does the stamping fade easily? That was always a fear of mine and why I never purchased one. I love rose gold and blue, it's such a perfect combo!

@@FrenchyInFocus Honestly the blue Kyoto is my favorite TN and hasn´t left my desk yet (in over a year). So it´s still perfect. Very nice leather and beautiful foiling. I´ve recently seen a very well used one and the foiling was still great and not much faded. So I´ve decided not to baby it any more and just use it next year. My second favorite is the cameI. It just feels sooo nice (using a Passport as my wallet and a regular for journaling). Also got the black Tokyo edition recently. The leather was very stiff and not nice to the touch so I slathered it with leather balm a couple of times so now it´s at least decent to the touch. The silver holographic foiling makes it a dream team with the Kaweco Sport iridescent pearl. What I like about Morgan´s book are the articles on the verses. Very inspiring.

@@MidlifeByKirstin Oh I will have to hunt down a Kyoto edition then, it's my dream tn! I was thinking about purchasing the Tokyo one, but I already knew the black leather wasn't my favorite. Ahh you are right!! That kaweco is the perfect pen for that tn! As for the book, I will need to order another. I think it was misplaced during all the moving around we did last summer. My pastor gifted us all a copy during the holidays and it was on my list of to dos, but I was too focused on finishing my reading plan lol

You have to try the tape method!! My olive was smooth like the black tns, but now it's just as fuzzy as the camel. I don't upkeep it either, it just stays soft and fuzzy. I have a ytshort on how I did it, but it's just covering the tn in packing tape, rubbing it so it adheres well and pulling it off☺ As for the paper, I feel so confused. I felt crazy at first thinking there was something wrong with my pens! I usually write with EF and F, so I did try a B and that's a bit better. I still had skipping and bleeding issues too. The paper robbed me of both my money and my joy of writing with fps. Who would've thought that paper would be so important, lol. So far, the Sterling Ink paper is a lot better, which gives me some hope😅 I'm assuming its is a newer version of Sanzen, maybe a better quality? I miss decorating in a Cousin. I love the A5 size and having so much freedom. I love my tns too, but I know archiving them won't be as satisfying as putting one or two bound books on a shelf. I also adored having all the layouts in just one book vs all these inserts. Do you have any idea what you would use next year?? I know it's early, but I feel like the options are limited if your into a Cousin style planner. 😔

I am the same! I've been stuck on the ESV translation for years! I tried so many translations, but could never really stick to them. I was surprised by how much I loved the CSB. It just reads so beautifully. I can really cuddle up with God's word and not have to pause to look something up or re-read passages that are worded funny. What translation are you thinking of trying??

That was definitely me! I think I completed a world record for the fastest checkout time 😂 It's so nice to hear someone else having a similar experience. It's also exciting to get a new bible too. I have a super tiny bible collection and wouldn't hesitate buying another one of these bibles. They are crafted so beautifully, as God's word should be. It's such a blessing to have one of these. The one you purchased looks so stunning! The marble calfskin was my second choice. Does it have the same floppiness as the goatskin?? I was such a die hard ESV girl, but the CSB really surprised me! I've tried so many translations, but never made it past Genesis. Somehow I could just read the CSB for hours on end and now adding the PSQ to the mix, it just became my perfect daily bread combo💙💜

@@FrenchyInFocus yes! It’s feels so good in the hands. I got a Cambridge Pitt Minion goatskin and I love how it felt. Then I began diving into the calfskin and honestly I became a calfskin guy lol. I love goatskin but calfskin is where my hearts at 😂. I love my ESV and I thought about getting the cross way Alpha in the Horween collection. The new Schuyler PSQs are a bit bigger and have the drop caps in the letter. I’m hoping that I can add one of those to my collection. Then lastly an RL Allen 53 primer and I’ll be set for a while 😂🙏🏼.

Hey!!! It's so good to see you again my brother!! I hope you are doing well!! Yes I agree with what you're saying! I've always read from ESV and NKJV for the most literal translation I could have, personally. I wish I could have the capacity to learn the original languages, but at least we have those 🤎 When I first started reading the CBS I was worried about "they" and certain words being changed. I'm so used to seeing he and I'm leery of inclusive terms in newer translations as I am more of a traditional person. Truthfully, I purchased this bible months ago and I prayed for a while before making this video public, as I never want to lead anyone new to the faith astray. So far, I find CSB to be really good, better than most of the other more dynamic translations I've read. It's a nice casual read while staying as accurate as this type of translation could ever be. Perhaps, this video could also encourage another person to try an easier translation? One that would be less intimidating to start reading God's word and building a habit of daily reading. For my house and homeschooling my little one, this translation has been such a blessing with his understating of the text. I will always be an ESV girl and I'm so grateful the Lord has allowed me to read through this translations dozens of times, at least enough to recognize when something is off. Along with prayer, it has been so helpful while I was on my mission to try and find an easier translations for this season of our life 😊

@@FrenchyInFocus yes I understand you. I’m living in an area using a different language than English on daily basis. And I’m regularly encountering immigrants from different parts of the world trying to learn the language here. When reading the bible with/for them, I almost always end up with a bible translation with easy language, though less literal. To understand at all anything is crucial, and motivation to hear more and hopefully wanting to read on one’s own is important. Still this is continuously a battle with me. I have compared translations so to say on daily basis for years. Currently I have actually 27 different versions in my list (not all checked to the same degree though) but I so very often get disappointed when a translation has left out words and say replaced them with an explanation without informing the reader, or not included words or changed them for some other reason. Not so much because the main meaning is lost, but as mentioned earlier, the reader unconsciously believes every word he or she is reading exists in the original text. One is reading the bible, “how can the words not be in the source text”. I have been in conversations with people that have been pondering single words in scripture and felt led to a conclusion about that special single word, and that word was actually not in the source text. So that is something to think about too. We don’t want to bad mouth any translation. Because if we are careless in this we could actually bad mouth the Bible itself in the listeners ears, right? And then it’s also a dilemma giving someone an easy-to-read translation and then same time informing them not to trust it’s wording. You need another bible to verify it. What a turnoff. So the art of translating literal and at the same time understandable, even flowing, that’s the real key, right? It’s actually interesting for me to read your experience. I understand you’re a conscientious christian loving the Lord, loving the Word. Wanting to reach people around you with the Word. For my self I kinda have come to the conclusion that ESV, among the modern translations, best accomplishes the combination of legibility and accuracy (though I miss the italics). But from what you say now, may be even the ESV is not easy enough to understand in some cases, even for English speaking people. I’m noting your experience.

My dear Connie!!! How are you?! I miss you dearly! I’ve always looked at the she reads truth, they are so pretty, but the font looked too tiny for such a big book. I can see an interleaved Bible being nice to have for note taking! I’ve been using the 2nd half of my abandoned hobonichi to take notes. While it works, I do wish the notes were in my bibles to reference with ease. I have notes in too many notebooks, which feels impossible to find any info I need 😓

It’s such a nice, easy going translation. I feel like I can curl up and just enjoy reading through the Bible without distractions. With my other translations, I still need have my phone with me to look up things I didn’t fully understand. I haven’t felt the need to do that at all with the CSB 😊Does your church use CSB?

@@FrenchyInFocus No, not usually. Our pastor (my husband) usually uses the NLT (another easy to read translation). Enjoy your new Bible!

The standard size is the perfect size imo, the passport is too tiny for everyday use. Every year I set up a passport size in hopes that I would finally fall in love with the size - never happens, lol Oh, how lovely an extra 2 cm would be! I could add a few extra inserts! I do use other inserts from different brands, sadly they don't offer much savings as I prefer to use fountain pen friendly paper. I used to make my own custom covers when I was a teen, perhaps I should try again

Honestly that’s my favorite one! They go with anything🤎 The girls are nice but I feel like I like her old ones better. These girls all have the same hair and pretty much the same dress shape. Her other tapes had variety. It’s the little things lol I’m trying to be better with impulse buying as well! I bought way too much the past two years and still going through everything. I really don’t need more stationery 😅

😆 you are right! They do look like colored pencil! I kept having this nostalgic feeling while making these swatches and now I know why😂This paper was such a pain to work with, but the results were worth it! I’m definitely more of a chromashading person as well, since I prefer ef and f nibs, but these glitters are too pretty. The way they dance on a full page of writing is mesmerizing 😍

It feels so good to be under His wings and just feel His presence, especially when you’re feeling defeated. On another note, one thing that sucks is how people discredit an animals death as being just a dog with no soul, blah blah blah…to me Dolce was heaven sent at the perfect time and loyally served me and my fam till his last breath🤎
