It's always bookish season, but November is definitely the coziest one 🥰 Lol digital isn't so bad, but I could never actually journal in there, I like to only have one copy of my thoughts. I'm always tempted to memory keep digitally since adding photos would be so easy, but idk

I instantly thought of you while I was decorating my iPad! I've been needing to stay still and just get lost in another world. I'll admit Fourth Wing has my attention more than ACOTAR, so I'm starting that one today. I'm even more excited to read it now! lol I'm easily distracted too, but I make my iPads have intentional purposes and try to avoid entertainment apps. My main iPad is for "reading only" so I have my digital bibles and all the library and book apps. I also keep my journals in there since it's more of a writing activity and just easier to have a digital bible journal than a physical one. The older iPad I just use more as portable version of a laptop if we travel, but it's mainly used for my amateur procreate masterpieces and my little one's homeschool textbooks. I did order a back up jibun techo as you are right my screen time has increased, but it's cus I journal too much. Even my digital journal can't escape my need to write down all my feelings lol

@@darlenewashington9570 it really is! I love my paper planners for memory keeping, but digital is so much better for actual planning and goal setting too. I feel like my plans change too much and my paper planners end up a mess!

I love the travelers monthly, you can do so much! Other than the basic appointments, you could do a line a day, doodle a day, gratitude of the day. I like to use them for my God moments and record any movies I watched ☺️

I wish I got a b6 as well, the b6 slim feels a bit too small? Maybe it will workout though? I love A5 but I wanted something more portable this year. I am worried about the paper though, this years TRP is horrendous!

@@FrenchyInFocus I too am worried about the paper I haven’t set it up or moved into it so I don’t know for sure about the paper if it’s not good I’ll have to go back to normal pens and not use my fountain pens I’m going to try my best NOT to make excuses for buying extra stuff lol I’m holding on by a thread 🪡

@@thejournalhouse lol you are stronger than I! I will ditch that b6s in a heart beat, I love my fountain pens, especially when I’m journaling, it’s the experience for me. I’m using a gel pen for my weeks, but I’m not really writing alot in it like I would in the b6s. I bought the jibun techo days as a backup to try and I have a feeling I will be in it cus I did a test page and so far the bleed through is insane unless it’s a super dry ink. 🥲 I’m running out of portable options

the one I used is Tsukineko Brilliance Dew Drop in the white pearlescent color, it's been stamped for years and still so pretty!

I pet my olive tn all the time 😂 for my blue I actually left it natural because I already stamped it with my bird and florals so I’m scared they will be removed, I wish I figured out the tape thing sooner! 🥲It’s a lighter blue than most tns so I imagine it would’ve been prettier 😞

Amen to that, my sister! Joy is certainly a choice. One can choose to dwell on their circumstances/past or decide to move on and focus on our glorious God and the good we have, such as wonderful friends, like you❤️

I’m so sorry for your loss! I miss my boy so much! Dogs truly embody unconditional love-they don’t care if your hair is messy, if you’re rich or poor, they’re always there, excited to see you. Losing them is incredibly tough. I've been having a hard time processing especially when I'm already facing health issues and other challenges. I completely understand how overwhelming life can feel, but there’s still so much good to hold onto, and it helps to remember that these hardships are temporary. I try to remind myself that I’ve felt this way before, thinking it was the hardest thing I’d ever face, but with time, everything always turned out alright. It’s definitely easier to navigate life’s ups and downs with God by your side. With Him, we have the strength to face whatever comes our way, even when it feels unbearable. Stay strong-you’re not alone in this, if you ever need to talk don't be scared to DM my sister <3

This is the sweetest comment! I'm so glad you enjoyed this one! I went through so much trial and error when I first started using fountain pens. I wanted to create a beginner's guide to help others avoid the same mistakes or at least not have to scour the internet for this info. The first fountain pen I ever used was a varsity too from Michaels. I split those tines thinking it was like the flex nibs I saw in calligraphy videos, lol, Your first pen sounds lovely! I love sage green and heavy pens so it sounds perfect for me, but the tripod style is something that made me avoid Lamys, my grip is a little odd. Oh no your purse!!! That's one thing I missed in the video. My all time favorite pen, the Pilot Custom 823 is the ultimate travel pen! That blind screw cap seals the pen entirely so no accidents happen, the only downside is that you have to unscrew the blind cap a few mm to allow the ink to flow through every time you want to write with it. If it's sealed you can still easily get an entire A5 page before the ink left over in nib feed starts to completely run out. I enjoy the extra step, it has become instinctual for me at this point, like a little writing ritual. As for your kaweco sport, I would go with forest green lol My green pens are my favorite! I feel like I can put any ink in there and it just goes perfectly. I could never shake off the habit of trying to match my inks or at the very least have a nice color combo. The Kaweco is such a good pen too, I love that you can take it apart and find replacement nibs so easily. It took me a long while to figure out that I prefer finer nibs so that was really helpful to experiment with different sizes.Thank you so much for your thoughtful response! Started printing last night and I’m almost finished printing now🎉 I’m not technically inclined to figure out all you have with landscape mode and the booklet 😂 I just wish my printer printed faster
