Just a few. You just need a hoodie and you re good.
Great review man!
Thanks Mark! It's a great lens. Can't wait to use it for aurora season.
Like and comment 😂
Omg I've seen this lens everywhere LOL
It's REALLY fun to use.
I’m here after reading Hatchet. That story is set in Canada, but I imagine it would have been something like this.
I learnt a few stuff, thank you
I just read an article on line that literally says ‘“There are no mosquitoes in Alaska.” Beware of disinformation on line.
biblical scence
Amazing pics ❤ glad you liked iraq
Useful information, Nickolas. Thanks!
Great stuff, Nickolas. I did know most of this, but not everything. Keep the videos like this coming!
Great photos and the video was very enjoyable!
It must be the same in Yukon
Is this south Algeria brother? My parents are from Algiers and Boumerdes province, visited my family there many times, but I’ve never seen anything like this in Algeria.
If there is a hell, it is surely full of mosquitoes.
hi, is this close to Anchorage or up north near arctic? or is it just everywhere?
Welcome to norways mosquito storms hehe
I am from Algeria looks like some where in Africa 😂
In the beginning, I did really well in stock-but not with landscapes. I did more conceptual lifestyle images. That was about 12 years ago and since then, it has gone down every year. The industry is over flooded.
What is the focal length in this photo?
Average person: I love summer! Its when you can go out at any time of the day and wear light and breahtable clothes! Mosquitoes in Alaska: And I took that personally.
I enjoy snapping a pretty picture or two at times, but that is so, so, so far from the pure effort, equipment, education, and experience of an axtual photographer, so i really can't say i even dabble, but you popped up on my feed, and this was a relaly good video! Good quality, good voice over, concise information, and very transparent! I neither knew that was an option when you start out, nor that it's a painful one. I can say though, that the tagging process for media algorithms and such, IS PAINFUL. I feel you there. Rant aside, i do hope your cannel finds success, and I've subscribed. Take care bro.
I hope you make beautiful photos of our sahara’s breathtaking landscapes, welcome to Algeria 🇩🇿 ❤
Beautiful footage bro! Much love 🙏
Glad to see you making videos, Nickolas! I really liked the image at 10:00 of the "hole" in the red rock - great lighting, texture, and color. I still can't tell - what's showing through the hole, is it sky?
that shot with the juniper tree, damn thats sick!
Thanks man! I was stoked to find it.
I have an image of a barbed-wire fence with trees and stuff that I focus stacked. It looks like there’s a force field around the barbed-wire. Lol. I think I’ll have to get this helicon software. Thanks Nickolas!!
Thank you for watching! It's a game changing software.
Awesome Nickolas! 🎉
informative, thanks
Thank you for watching, glad it was helpful.
That’s my idea of hell😂
Another great video. Once the image is staked, will Helicon allow it to be saved as a photoshop file for additional editing? Do you do a simple color grade before stacking?
Helicon can save as tiff or dng. Typically, I do some basic Lightroom edits to get the most out of the raw data, then bring into helicon, then into photoshop. It’s just one extra step for me.
You need some chaps Nick! And maybe a cod piece. 😅 You definitely can write them off for taxes.
😂 I can go by cowboy nick 🤠
I have never used Helicon for landscape images but have for macro. Are you rounding with DNG files or do you send the final Helicon stack back to PS as a tiff?
I have been taking the finished stack as a tiff into photoshop for my final edits.
Hi Nickolas, Very informative video and great images. I find similar issues with focus stacking in Photoshop. If you recall my mud cracks image from when we were last together, I needed to do some manual masking to correct issues with the focus stacking done by Photoshop. I will need to check out Helicon Focus. Thank you!
Yes, I kept running into the same problems. It’s extra money, but easily worth it for me.
Cacti: nooo but i wuv uuuu 🥺❤️ dont let me gooooo
Never heard of gloves or boots i take it. There's a reason why cowboys wore lots of leather.
gloves? What are those?
as a dumb 9 yo VA native visiting family in NM, I decided to stomp on a cactus imagining that it would be crushed under the weight of my foot. did not end up that way at all 🫥
Glad the photo turned out great.
Carry a small fine-toothed 'old man' comb, you know, the type found in drug stores, cheap. Does a great job pulling out those crazy jumping cacti.
Oh man those choya cactus are gnarly. I fell into a patch while running in the dessert when i was a child and my family had to oick them out of my face and mouthand neck, reall was coverd in them. Swole up from a reaction to them. Respect the pointy things.
As someone who has traveled with nick a lot. If he doesn’t get stuck or hurt from a cactus at least once it’s not a good teip
I guess what you are saying..."he doesn't exactly learn from his mistakes!" :)
@@SteveKleinheider its more like ill do anything to get the shot but shit always happens lol
Create a 2:1 or 3:1 horizontal from the top of your first image.
Watching next to the cholla was so stressful 😂 great photos tho!
That is terrible.
This was very helpful. I was planning to bring my DJI mavic 3 thermal drone, which is like $9000 Canadian, So I will not even try it.
Very "enlightening" - pun intended. I have begun to apply this method with pleasing results.
Nice tips and a great video overall. Thank you. Is 2:30 at the Valley of the Gods if I may ask?
Not valley of the gods, somewhere much further north.
I'm trying, but i really can't think of a shot that's impossible on a tripod..., but there are shit-loads that cannot be achieved handheld. So maybe it is the case that the problem has little to do with tripods, per se, and a lot to do with a sub-set of photographers who, for reasons specific to each individual, have a tendency to unnecessarily over-utilize them.
I will bring a little stick to Oregon then.
Hahaha. I'll bring a backup stick.
