What Riser is that on your bike? I went back to the stock riser with a set of Fat Baggers 12 inch mini apes. Also, what is that camera clamp on your bars? The heat knock's the f__k out of me and after a few days that can get me down. A day off and a few beers normally fixes that. For long trips I use the Harley mesh jacket. On average you are only running at 40 to 60kms/hr but as you say... If you don't wear it...

I don't know when you were actually at Alice Springs , but it's certainly starting to heat up in Northern Australia . The air cooled bikes must run hot in the middle of the day . Cheers .

Glad to see you still rocking the Sport Glide. Quite a few people I've followed have moved on from that bike. I've even though a few times of changing mine, but when I see your bike, or other Sport Glide's it's an awesome looking Harley! Been trying to place your accent for a while, I assume you're originally from Ireland? I've been in the Philippines over 20 years but originally from the West coast of Scotland.

Hi Roddy, many thanks for your video. I recently bought a SportGlide and as I'm 6'2" tall, I wanted to buy a biger windshield, expecting a better protection. Big disappointment ... I installed a 12" slipstreamer windshield and it is definitely terrible ... especially on the upper half of my helmet ... lot of vibration, very unpleasant ... I finally went back to the 2" stock windshield.

I have a 2022 sport glide and I have had 3 speedos replaced under warranty due to moisture and on my first ride since replacement of the 3rd speedo, the moisture issue has returned across the bottom of the speedo again. I am awaiting a response from the Harley Dealer at present.

The manual for my Road Glide says to tighten the primary cover bolts in a star pattern.

Probably the best DIY video on TH-cam. You obviously did your homework before attempting this. Some of the other videos only mention taking off the foot pegs in one piece after they already they had lost one of the ball bearing’s. I own a 2018 SportGlide. I bought it after I dropped my 2009 CVO and found out the hard way that saddle bags and an engine guards won’t protect your torso if the design of the bike protects the engine and chrome, but not your body. The SportGlide does with the engine guards and saddle bags, but the rear crash bars allow you to ride lighter without the saddlebags, and still be protected. The SportGlide is probably the best bike for older riders, women and smaller riders, as it weighs only 700lbs with the saddlebags and mini faring, but will weigh in under 650lbs if you ride it around the city stripped down with a 1/2 tank of gas, and makes the bike easier to maneuver, but still has the Milwaukee 8 107 cu/in engine, that runs like the 114 cu/in with the stage 1&2 upgrades.

Thanks for this buddy. I have been trying to change my PIN on my new Sportglide not knowing if one had been assigned without success ?? However the 1st couple of stages with the off/run switch were the problem. Owners Manual says switch to run, then do the off/run/off/run, indicator twice... but doesn't go to enter PIN message. BUT doing it your way it works fine !! So thanks for that and I'll have a look through your other Vids 🤩

Drill a 1/16" hole in the back housing just piercing the case to equalize the temperature and humidity. I had that problem since I bought my 2019 slim, then after watching a couple TH-cam videos, I drilled mine and fixed it, has not fogged since, it's been almost a year.

Use a torch to identify the empty cavity on the white casing and drill accordingly in that area. Worked like a charm on my 2018 FatBob

If you were to pull apart the Speedo, I would rotate the glass, so that same foggy part is axis at the 200/220k section

Any chance you could suggest whether one can connect to the electra glide 2010 (j1850) a used matching speedometer (j1850) from other bike (say road king 2010) and do not get a VINERR displayed? p.s. people say it's just a drop in swap, other say - I need special equipment to "merry" speedo with ecm.

I’m 5’7” and just got installed my 6” risers during my first service. They had to change the brake line only. Those risers made a MASSIVE difference. My stance on the bike changed, controlling the bike got way better especially in slow speeds, and I don’t need to stretch slightly forward anymore can just sit upright. If anyone here is around same height and considering riser option, just get it. You won’t regret it especially with mid controls. I think forward controls, windshield height and weird handlebar style are what Harley did wrong with Sport Glide. If this bike was released with mid controls, higher handlebars and taller stock windshield, today it would be the superstar of Softail line up.

I've never understood the logic.If you're heads all over the shop,the last place your arse should be is on a bike seat.I speak from experience.

I’ve ridden off and on since I was 16 but never really got to enjoy it. I picked up my LRST a year ago when I too was in a bad place, my mental wellness has improved immensely. There’s so much negativity in the world and my brain stays on overload. Riding is really the only time my mind is quiet.
