Hi there. Do you have a longer version where we can see your tactics and catches? I actually went to this spot yesterday just after high tide (so fairly gentle flow downstream) ... put a maggot feeder out a couple of metres past the slipway and also tried trotting lobworm, then lures for perch in the eddy to the right, right down on the bottom. Not a sausage! Any tips? Thanks.
Hi buddy, thanks for the question..😊 Sorry to hear that you struggled yesterday, it can be like that sometimes. I've been having problems River Fishing due to various health issues the last few years so haven't been able to carry my tackle to the swims etc but i will be fishing & filming loads of the spots i've covered on the Thames in my Bellyboat June 16th onwards. Can't wait 😊 the Bellyboat changes everything, no tackle to lug about & a nice comfy seat.. Been filming deep sea and lots of Harbour fishing in it so far with no problem. My best advice would be to Feeder fish 2-3mtr off Eal Pie Island (explained in the vid) with Crumb & Maggot mix on the Flood Tide. Worm Corn & Maggs for Bait. Excellent Silver fishing.! (2mtr hooklengh) Sorry for not being able to film & fish from the Bankside, just wish I'd started filming years ago..😒 let me know if I can help you with anything else anytime my friend..😊👍
@@MUCKER671 Thanks for the reply ... sorry to hear about the health issues. The boat sounds great ... I've seen vids of people pike fishing from row boats in the Richmond to Kingston stretch ... not sure if that's your thing but they were big!
Yes, saw your advice about casting to the island but when I saw how far away it was I thought Surely Some Mistake ... I'll have to practise more!
Thanks for the nice message.😊 I've been mulling over the safety concerns in the Bellyboat on the Tidal Thames, big party boats etc. My boats the largest you can get @2.1mtrs, Flippers and no Transum but a really powerful trolling motor on the front and I'd still feel like a Tadpole compared to some of the boats around there.🤣.. As for fishing to the Island, i use 15lb high quality Spiderwire Braided Main Line, actual physical thickness of around 5-6lb and the biggest Maggot Feeder you can with the biggest Dead Cow weights possible. The thin Braided Line really helps with distance cos it's very supply.. I also use a 13ft Method Feeder Match Rod.😊👍
