The Reality Of Being A Nurse With Imposter Syndrome
Hi guys! As always, welcome back to another video. In today's video we discuss imposter syndrome and how it affects us as nurses. Of course we googled the definition for you guys. Imposter syndrome is very real and it definitely applies to nursing. There has been many thoughts and feelings of being a fake or phony while being nurses. The question that would be asked at times is "How did I even get here?". Also thoughts of feeling incapable of caring for our patients. Even after a death would occur amongst our patients, we would at times look at ourselves and ask the question "Did I cause this?". The answer is always "NEVER". We hope you guys enjoy this video, and if you relate leave a comment below and let us know. Don't forget to like, comment, and subscribe. It truly helps us out. See you guys in the next video. Also, looking forward to interacting with you guys in the comments down below.

Why We Chose Nursing...and Why We'd Do It Again!
มุมมอง 477ปีที่แล้ว
Hey guys! Welcome back to another video. In today's video the question that we discussed was, would we choose nursing as our career again or change our career entirely? Throughout the conversation we also were able to discuss if nurses are complainers. We personally think that the word complainers or complaining should be used as venting. We see a lot while working which allows us to discuss wh...

We discuss the work-life balance between working 8 hour shifts and 12 hours shifts. Since we've worked both shifts, we understand the difference between working 8 hour days and 12 hour days. We do get to discuss how to maintain a work-life balance...

I love you guys!!!!!
Problem in MS unit if the CNA has heavy @$$, not supportive and always with their cp while their nurse is busy with 6 pts.
You guys are amazing!
Some nurses in the VA hospital in Miami were making so much money. I wonder if they were traveling nurses. I also had a nurse friend in Chicago who sent me a notice of how much a nurse could make if they worked in the Covid ward. That figure was so high that I thought it was a misprint!
Where are you guys now
“ yo what’s popping” omg lol, please keep posting
“ yo what’s popping” omg lol
barely started the video, thank you guys. I am assuming you gals are Latinas like myself. I feel major imposter syndrome, guilt, and my family saying "you wouldn't make a good nurse; or be a boss in the office and don't work for others like we do" at their restaurant and construction jobs. Thank you so much, I am first-generation, come from "impoverished" conditions, but thanks to you girls- and and nat, and my partner for supporting us by letting your voices be heard and posting on TH-cam for girls like me/us, for everyone really! <3
❤❤❤❤😊😊love this video Thank for ur motivation
Enjoyed this video!! More videos please 😊
You two are so funny! 🤭Thank you for your informative videos.
Love your perspective on each role. I love the non urgency of outpatient, the time to self and with patients. I cannot wait to get there in my career. A new grad in in patient now and it’s making me question so many things. Already ready for a change but trying to stick it out
how is it going now
Hey ladies,, we miss you
My thoughts trying to hype myself up for the day
Absolutely agree with their perspective! Do your due diligence and ask all those CCU and acuity questions at interview. Con: body and soul destroying. Have tissues in your car!
What a joke!
😂😂😂 enjoy
Hello ,Beautiful ladies. Thankyou for boosting my confidence. I am going to start my first nursing job as RN and thankyou for your motivational words.😇😍
How’s life going? I’m starting my orientation next week
What about IV? Did you do IV at school also? I mean putting it in the vein?

Hearing this makes me feel a bit better, because ive been very anxious going into work because i dont feel go enough, or like im a baby.
'las 2 pendejas' JAJAJ me pasooooo
Love you ❤ guys we don’t have enough Latinas nurses creating content for other Latinas nurses. ❤
I love the energy in this video. Very informative. I’m still not sure what specialty I want to do for nursing school but this definitely helped
lol I love this 😂❤️ I need a nurse bestie .
Hi people can we be friends if you don't mind I am also a nurse
What NP school was it?
“We don’t cheat” 👀 “Definitely not” 👀👀
Hi , i love your videos 😍 im looking for schools for lpn in New York, can lpns work as a school nurse ?
Thank you for the informative video. Can I ask how long you stayed in the med/surgical unit? Is it easy to transfer to another specialty? How many patients did you take care of in the med/surgical unit? I heard from 5 to 15 beds from the other TH-camrs.
This is so real!!! Straight up!!! Keep it my NYC sistas! 🩷💛
I want a nurse bestie that I trust with my life girl. You guys make me jelly !! Keep up the good work
Thanks for your transparency. Any advice on travel agencies that are trustworthy? I hear a lot about them canceling contracts sometimes.
It is interesting I hear of new grads that don't want to work in med/surg even in the hospital.
<--Not a nurse. Power Plant Engineer. I've worked ever rotating shift known to man in the last 30 years. As far as quality of life goes... for me. I'd say the 8 hour / 7 day staggered shift is best. You can balance family/life better. Even though you only get 1 weekend off per month, it is always a 4 day weekend. On day shift i am home by 230pm ( so kid stuff / errands ). On midnights (10pm-6am) usually a little sleep deprived but able to do a lot during the afternoon. Afternoon shift ( 2pm-10pm) absolutely SUCKS. I don't get to see anyone.
you didn't even eat all that good food girl.
you two sure are easy on the eyes :P
I love that you two do videos together and you both have great energy.
Yaw shorts are hilarious😂
It's true, nurses blame ourselves. "If I had done this, if i had done that" especially in the aftermath, when all the data is in and you know exactly what happend. Its easy to look back and see how things connected and you blame yourself but in reality the same symptoms could have been option A or B, but it was C and you now blame yourself.
new subby 😊
Welcome!! Thank you for the support!
@@AngNatNursesinNYC you welcome 😁

We will for sure. Thank you for the support
the audio sounds really low for some reason like if you guys aren't talking on the microphone
Thank you for that. We noted it for the next video.
Hi! I’m not a nurse, in fact my job is kinda funny to explain but I work at a container terminal as a longshoreman checker. But this video spoke a lot to me because I also work 10-12 hr days and it can get hard. Sometimes 12 hr days 5 days a week!! But just like you guys said… what has worked for me is sticking to a schedule. And that schedule actually gives me freedom! Bc if I don’t clean when I have to… then things get out of wack. Good video! I thought I was the only one trying to balance work and MY valuable life!!
Yeah it is hard to stick the to schedule when all you want to do it relax. For me, what has been working to stick to the schedule is trial and error. It has happened where I do not stick the schedule and life ends up in chaos. What do you typically include in your schedule to keep your life organized?
Also, thank you for the support and for sharing!
Yayyyyy thanks for sharing 😊
Of course!! Thank you so much for the support!
How did you guys study for nursing school? How frequent ? Did you work while in school?
Saw you were able to watch our video, hope it helped
SNACKS!!
😂 love it!
losing your arm LOL
Thank you for making this video!! I’m at the end of nursing school (just a few months left) and I have no idea where to start! This is helpful.
You got this! Good luck and trust the process. Life will lead you to where you need to me. Thank you for the support!
