The intersection of ancient health practices and modern scientific discoveries is fascinating! In this video, I explore the connection between time-honored remedies and scientific discoveries, demonstrating how our ancestors possessed a profound understanding of human health.
While not every traditional remedy has been scientifically validated, the video highlights those that have withstood the test of time and continue to offer value. It emphasizes the balance between embracing ancient wisdom and leveraging modern medical advancements, fostering a holistic approach to health and well-being.

      It only tracks when you tell it to. It has to inflate the cuff and sense your BP that way. More devices are coming out that might be able to monitor your BP continuously without having to use a cuff

    I bought this cuff, and thought it was brilliantly designed. That feeling lasted until the cuff persisted in stating that my clothing was interfering with the reading. This "error" was indicated on EVERY READING, and despite the fact that I was seated--shirtless--at my desk. Mine is for sale cheap if anybody wants it.

    The Withings app has been unusable for me. I get errors consistently that prevent me from making changes to my profile, deleting my account, uploading data and simply connecting to the unit. In sum, our experiences, respectively, have been very different with the Withings. On the other hand, the battery issue on the Omron is a non-starter for me. I’m left with manually writing down readings from my Withings as my best option, but I don’t recommend it.

      If you haven’t already, bring it to their office to check at the same time. You might have to get multiple readings of each because of how much BP can fluctuate. And they can confirm your technique is good. If the machine is that off, then maybe exchange it for the same one, or a different machine altogether. If it’s truly inaccurate it’s possible that it’s just that unit and another one will be ok.

    My doctor put me on 400mg of magnesium oxide five times aday is that to much

    • @DrZainMD
      @DrZainMD 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It depends on things like on how low your magnesium levels were, your kidney function, the purpose of supplementation, and the goal magnesium level. Too much magnesium intake could cause health problems so I definitely recommend checking with your doctor. In addition to that, magnesium oxide can sometimes cause GI side effects in certain people, in which case the doctor may adjust the type or amount of magnesium supplementation. Also, you can look up the percentage of elemental magnesium for each type/formulation of magnesium and you can see how much actual magnesium you’re consuming, no matter the type, and take that info with to the doctor. Even without looking at the app i will remember the readings from the morning at bedtime. Looking for a new unit because I need to track my readings more. Got an unpleasant bump up in pressure the last 2 weeks. I can highly recommend running to decrease the blood pressure. I had 149/84 this morning and after running 123/77. And it will last many hours.
