Indoor Grow Station Setup: Mini Planter + Tropical Curry Leaf! #vegoplanter
This is part 2 of my indoor grow series of the #vegoplanter from @vego_garden
In this video, we're building a mini indoor grow station for a tropical curry leaf plant using Vego Garden's self-watering mini planter!
First, we will set up the growing environment -we'll discuss the importance of grow lights for indoor plants, and the ideal intensity and color spectrum they should have to mimic daylight.
Next, we'll cover other elements of a successful grow station, like airflow, and pest control. You'll learn how to position your grow light, why a gentle fan is crucial for air circulation, and simple tricks to prevent pests like fungus gnats.
Check out my complete guide to indoor seeds starting:

And for my Vego indoor herb planter video, check this link:

We'll unbox and assemble the mini self-watering planter, and then plant our curry leaf.

    • @GreenLove1
      @GreenLove1 4 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Great question, actually! If you are concerned about the dirt and grime that might flow from the rooftop, the advice is usually to empty out the first barrel that fills up after a long dry spell. After that, the water should be clean enough to use to water your plants! At least, I do feel good about it!

    • @BlyssOblyvion
      @BlyssOblyvion 4 วันที่ผ่านมา

    • @Donkringel
      @Donkringel 4 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@forgotmypassword125 depends on how complex you want to make it, but you can do a lot of things to keep the water cleanish. Here are the ones I'm familiar with. 1) A dirt diverter. Basically a Y junction with a long length of pipe. Since the roof is feeding the barrel, anything on the roof at the beginning of the rain will be swept into the barrel. The diverter collects this dirty water with muck in it through gravity. Once it fills up, less debris strewn water goes into barrel. You uncap the diverter to flush the water out and reset. 2) Specific coating on the barrel. To keep out UV light (stops algae from reproducing) to a black exterior that helps heat up the water and helps reduce microbe reproduction. 3) In barrel filters. Usually a mixture of sand and carbon. 4) Filter barrels. You use multiple barrels with filters in them that gravity feeds them down the line to get increasingly clean water. 5) Chemicals. Just dump in some chlorine or bleach. Of course for plant watering you'll want to make sure you don't overdue it and kill the plants. You can actually reverse some of this once the water has been purified (chlorine I think) where you leave out the water and either let it off-gas or get hit with UV light, one of the two breaks it down. Overall for just watering the garden, you don't necessarily need to go overboard, just enough to keep bacteria and algae blooms from poisoning the water. Definitely add mechanical debris separators though, this will help your equipment from getting gummed up and increasing its lifespan.

    I am in the Bay Area as well, and have been experimenting with utilizing the greenhouse space during the heat of summer. I have the Palram Greenhouse from Costco. I grow tindora, and here is a video on its vigorous growth inside the greenhouse! Here is the link to my video th-cam.com/video/mQqi-I0wPPg/w-d-xo.htmlsi=poXK3MZUmFJJtoy1

    Im in Malaysia, I could easily plant my safron in a container and put it under a roof as my country is summer all year round but gets a lot of rain. my question is : 1. How frequent I should water saffron while they are in the resting/dormant period and how frequent I should water them when they come to life. 2. How long does it takes for them to multiply? 3. In your previous video, you shown that even the smaller one multiply but i don see any tree, has it wilted or they multiply without a tree growing. 4. How do you that a corm is still alive or already died. pls help 😅

      I Do not have personal experience growing in a tropical climate. Saffron does need a very long dry hot summer, So you will need to be able to simulate those conditions, The rain during summer will probably cause it to rot. Kindly do some research, I believe there is information on the internet of people who have tried to grow it in Malaysia

    Do you buy plants, only to LET THEM SIT?! Me too! And this tip of burying the pot, has saved numerous plants' lives!! 🤩😜 In fact I even do this with my six pack seedlings until I'm ready to transplant them. Sometimes they've got massive root structures that have built up in the soil below the container! But the plant is always happy, and survives transplant like a champ! Yep, this is definitely one of my favorite all-time gardening tips! ‼️❣️Please share your FAVORITE GARDENING TIP in the comments!
