The “game-feel” is crazy good, especially because most JP devs already make their games feel more tactile and responsive than western devs, and has been since at least 7th gen consoles - e.g. dead rising 1

Sekiro have never left my mind. I played it when it was released, finished it, and then played it two years later, and then played it once this year. In the gaming industry games comes and goes, they have their moments and then people move on, but Sekiro was and is a too special game to be forgotten like that.

I finally beat Genichiro today…it’s taken me 4 days and so many deaths I can’t even count…but this boss fight FORCED me to play the game properly and now my deflections and blocks are soooooo smooth. It’s epic. In addition…the sentence “how is grandfather?” will haunt me in my dreams for the foreseeable…

I only ever had to use the grindstone in ONE bossfight during NG+ and it was the Corrupted Parade Master who I killed 1st try in NG+.

Usually I wouldn't comment on a vid like this. But I ended up watching the whole thing because I love how you handled it. A lot of people on TH-cam are in it for motives. I'm happy that you made the video out of love and not primarily money. You definitly deserve more subscribers. And the cut from corrupted monk mikricounter to the other monk form mikiri was brilliant and I mean it. And talking about cheesey boss targeting while playing the clip of emma, ik what you meant.

I think you missed the centipede in Mt. Senpou Temple. That one has a bigger arena for you to learn the pattern before you get to the one in the Gun Fort.

In my opinion darksiders 1 was a great experience, unique. 2, we waited too long for and by then many people who enjoyed the first moved on. I played it and liked it a lot but it didn’t hit the spot like the first also it was kinda outdated. The third, glitchy, felt unfinished, shorter than the other two, and just all around bland and felt forced. I finished it just to say i did, i only enjoyed the combat and it was very outdated by then.

Stealth is really not as underdeveloped as so many people claim. You can clear out entire encounters using nothing but stealth. You just need to experiment with it. Whistles, ceramic shards and sugars help a lot. You also need to level up for stealth if you wanna depend on it. There’s many stealth dedicated keystones in the upgrade trees but people ignore them for some reason and wonder why enemies keep detecting them.

Darksiders III is my favorite in the franchise because I find it the most engaging to play and I'm a tiny bit biased toward games that let me play as a female character.

For me, Sekiro is From's one perfect game. It is the ONLY From title I cannot think of an improvement for. It demonstrates their absolute mastery of this kind of game design. I feel the reason for this, is Sekiro benefits from being unburdened by the complications of multiplayer. It's basically impossible to "perfectly" balance something with a chaotic human element. So all their other action-RPG titles necessarily have balance jank and issues with enemy AI and behavior, especially bosses. Combined with the inherent difficulty balancing games with more RPG like stat systems and build variety. Sekiro pulls things back and carefully controls its elements, wisely shaving off stuff that is hard to perfect. It's true that as with every From game there can be difficult mechanical moments with a few things like camera lock-on during boss fights. But one must remember there is no perfect camera system. There are inherent limitations in what can be done with a 2D screen and a single camera view. Sekiro even generally stays away from "spectacle" boss designs that go too far and fill the screen with spam. Within the limitations of the genre and the medium, it remains their most flawless game.

34:24 the shinobi hunter in Hirata Estate caused me to quit 2 separate times for years before my friend mentioned Mikiri counter and I've now beaten Sekiro nearly 20 times and gotten all achievements on 2 different gaming platforms. Steam and Playstation.

Love this game!! Didn’t understand the explanation for enhance attack power, so I made it all the way to inner Genichiro before I realized I could enhance attack power from all the bosses I beat!🤦🏽‍♂️. Played it all on level 2 attack power🤣🤣

Sekiro feel so good to play, when i beat boss in Sekiro it feels really good, but when i beat boss in ds3 or elden ring i just feel a bit of relief

Darksiders 2 the worst?!?! Lmfao are you kidding me? The only one worth playing through again is the worst one to you. That's the craziest thing I've ever heard. Darksiders 1 is ok but hasn't aged well. 3 is complete garbage and the one with strife doesn't even count. Also I've always wondered, why do people that do retrospectives always sound annoyed by everything in video games? Like nothing is exciting nothing is fun, everything is "This is alright but this this and this suck balls". Retrospective dudes just always sound like video games are a chore to play and just complete for a notch on their belt. Rather than wanting a nice long game they'd rather a short game to check off the list.
