So if i have an app that validates a niche that you can use for free, and then i ask my sister (also free), you still want a different means? Like what exactly? The tools consolidate the data. If you want to do it without apps, it's still super easy. Here's how: just pick a shop, then pick a listing in that shop you want to track. Bookmark it. Then refresh the page to check it every day to see if it has more favourites or reviews. Check the sales totals in that shop too and sort listings by "most recent" to see if they've either sold or been renewed. Do that every day for 28-30 days, and you'll have almost the same data. Easy? Yes! Practical without an app? No! Alternatively, if asking a family member is too much of a stretch, you can literally ask anyone else you feel comfortable approaching. I appreciate your breakdown above but I’m assuming there are other parameters to go by. Free apps are great but I know the information is limited if you don’t pay. People talk all the time about how you don’t need an app, they aren’t that accurate and they got started without an app, but they never go into detail about how they actually scaled their business up with manual market research. I feel like there are tricks that they don’t want to talk about because affiliate marketing pays more. Any info is always appreciated. And yes I like the idea of getting phrases from family or friends that they use in their industry. Thanks!
@@bertnerny got it! Just start typing in the search bar of the platforms you want to sell on. Just know that it won't necessarily give you bestsellers and will typically only show you what is currently popular at the moment... I also don't chase trends, so it while it is an app-less 'way', it's not necessarily 'Jay's Way', if that makes sense!

Couple things. Would love to see some content on Amazon Seller Central and setting that up. Is there not a monthly Amazon fee was well? For the nurse design could that be something you personalize on Etsy and the customer can request different hair colors and skin colors in the personalization box?
1) Yes - there's a $29/mo fee (i believe). 2) Yes - for sure, but i'd probably start by making 3-4 variations to leverage more keyword real estate. And the i'd wait to see if anyone asked for a different option. You can definitely build it all into the one listing though for sure!

Thanks so much! And no, not correct. What you cannot do is sell the same exact item in 2 different Etsy shops. Full stop. You CAN sell 2 the exact same in the same shop, or on all of the many other platforms. Hope this makes sense!
