A Faerie's Cancer Journey
United States
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 20 ส.ค. 2023
Hi, my name is Bri. I made this channel for a place to connect, an emotional outlet for myself as I go on this journey & a place to share my experiences with you. This is a real, raw and honest peek into my life to see how I am dealing with the challenge that God has given me. Some days are good. Others are not. I would love to hear your success stories if you are a survivor. I would also love to hear how you are doing on your journey if you are currently battling breast cancer, like me.
My main goal is to spread awareness to women to be more conscientious about their body. Early detection is KEY to survival! Push for imaging (even if you’re “not of age” yet), advocate for yourself & don’t put yourself on the back burner. You are all that you’ve got! You’re worth it! You matter & you are SO loved!
Please know that you are not alone. We are in this together. We will fight this together. And we will WIN this together.
Keep Smiling • Keep Shining 🌙🩷

Hi Friends! I hope this video (and all of my videos) help you in some way on your journey. I truly appreciate all of your comments and reading your breast cancer survivor stories, experiences and tips. I am so grateful for YOU!
If you are sharing my TH-cam videos - THANK YOU!! My goal is to spread awareness and help others through my journey as much as I can. Cancer is silent, sneaky and scary. When I found out that I had stage 2 breast cancer, invasive ductal carcinoma, the first thing I did was go on TH-cam and search what to expect & what am I going to look like on chemo, how am I even going to survive this treatment plan, etc…so I truly hope that my journey helps someone who feels scared, lost, or has “fear of the unknown”, whatever they’re looking for to find inner peace, I hope they can find it through me and my journey. We are all in this together, we are family, we are fighters and we will WIN this battle together! 🙏🏻💕😊
I Love You All,
Bri

Hi Bri! Looking so beautiful this day! I hope you have the HAPPIEST THANKSGIVING!
Did you color in your brows during treatment or are they tattoed?
❤ to you Bri I am so happy to see how well you’re doing.
You are very cute and oh so positive. You should get well soon and stay well!!
I had horrible side effects with the first infusion but subsequent infusions were a lot easier with hardly any side effects, just a day of feeling flu-ish. It gets better and the benefits are worth it.
We were told to take 1 Aleve with 1 Claritin for pain. It worked great.
I’m so proud of you. Your positivity is inspiring ❤
I am on zomeda and it is rough. First one left me in bed for a week, joint pain 101 fever, throwing up, headache. Second one was a little better but still had nausea, joint pain, headache and very tired. Then we took a break for 3 months. A little better but not great. They wipe me out.
Thank you for the update Bri, continuing to pray for you & I always look forward to seeing you. 🎉
I wish my my best friend had been able to ring that bell. Thank you for sharing your journey
Bree, I’ve been praying for you every night. 🙏🏻 You did a fabulous job with your speech, and I’m sure you’ve motivated others to keep a positive attitude during these trying times. Continued wishes for good health. 🥰
Hello Bri, I was so glad to see this blog drop. It seems like the last three weeks dragged and I was concerned from not hearing from you. I’m so glad you’re doing well and coping well with your treatment. So glad you had a rest Halloween week, which seems like ages ago to me now. Anyway, keep at it dear Faerie. Big hugs x
Good morning beautiful You’re a Ray of sunshine 🫶🏼💐
Hi Bri… did u get your port removed?….i still have mine for when I get the herceptin
Hi Bri, glad you’re now feeling lots better after your Zometa infusion 👍😊 After my 1st Zometa infusion I felt very similar to how you felt but on day 3 I woke up in the middle of the night with a severe case of vertigo which is something I have never had before, it was a little scary. At the time I asked if the Zometa could have caused the vertigo but the Doctors said it was very unlikely. Six months later I went for my 2nd infusion of Zometa and bang on day 3 I woke with severe vertigo again confirming that it was in fact the Zometa that had caused it. After discussions with my oncologist we decided that I would not have any further doses of Zometa as it was not worth the risk of me having to suffer severe vertigo which impacted the quality of my life as each bout of vertigo lasted around 3 to 4 weeks. I’m happy to say that I’m now at 4 years cancer free and living my best life 😊
I had my bilateral mastectomies and lymph nodes removed July 2 of this year. I was having so much nerve pain on my surgical armpit and into arm. I was put on Gabapentin. I also have that same pain after a fill that you described yourself (especially in the morning). The plastic surgeon's nurse thought the expander might be hitting a nerve so I tried the gabapentin. I continue to use it when needed. Thank you for your time that you share with so many. You really are an angel.
Hi dear sweet woman! You just showed up in my feed. I am a cancer survivor diagnosed ten years ago with ovarian and endometrial cancer. I find following other women cancer warriors uplifting and it means the world to me to be able to support and lift my fellow warriors in prayer. We all fight together. Bless you for telling your story… you will help many❤️
I have st. 3c11 agressive endometrial cancer...clear cell. Bless you. 2:08
You are so admirable, Brie. God bless you ❤ You are helping so many people.
Good to see you and hope your mom is better, Happy Thanksgiving 🦃
What an inspiring person you are! You might have been and still must be feeling sometimes scared and weak, but yet trying hard to stay strong by sharing your story with others. All my ❤ to you and your family.
Hi brilliant bri, you continue to be so amazing. The zometa side effects seemed a bit tough but it's great that no side effects can ever defeat you. Like the t shirt you are definitly cute. As always your looking great.
I've been on zometa for a year no probs good luck x
I have two more chemo infusions, then onto radiation. Good info on zometa. When it’s my turn, I will know a little about it. Take care!
I'm getting ready to go have my first mammogram (whenever the imaging place calls me to schedule it) at the age of 37. I've had pain in my right breast for a little over a month now and I'm glad that I said something about it to my doctor and she got me the referral right away. Two of my mom's sisters were diagnosed with breast cancer and I know I have a relatively slightly increased risk (17% lifetime risk). I don't want to take any chances and miss something. Your videos are great - been watching them from the start.
I had bad pain in my right breast, and I had mammogram and it was clear. Hopefully you will be the same.
Hi, Bri! I did my first Zometa infusion in June and it hit me so hard. I was achy and SO tired. I feel like I slept for 2days. Hopefully my next one won’t hit me so hard. You did much better than me. You’re amazing🤗 Happy 🦃 Day❤
Bri, you are quite the trooper. I am on Letrozole and have to have a Dexa scan to see how my bones are doing on this med. I will be interested if they want me on a bone building med. Not sure why they did not put u on Fosomax or Prolia. Not sure i want to do what you just did. Hope you continue to feel better after your infusion. 😊 Thnx for your update.
Is it the cording side?
@@christycruz1569 Hi! The radiated side is the one that is cording. The “healthy” side is the one that is sore/feels like a bruise behind my expander - I think I just pulled a muscle because it has since improved pretty significantly!! Thank the lord!
❤
I completed chemo on November 8th and I am scheduled for breast reduction on December 26th. I'm greatful🎉
Had zometa it was intense. Chills fever and diarrhea and sore too! Get another in January not looking forward to it. I so enjoy your videos you help me alot!
Help! ATM gene mutation indicates what ?? Projection looks good
@@deborahlanyi5535 For me, the ATM gene mutation (plus being diagnosed with breast cancer) meant that I had a 40-60% risk of developing breast cancer in my “healthy/non-cancerous” breast had I not removed it. So the fact that I had the gene put me at risk for recurrence and I didn’t want to take that risk. So I had both of my breasts removed instead of just the diseased one. If I had only the ATM gene mutation and NO breast cancer in either breast, my risk was around 24% of developing breast cancer in my lifetime But having the gene + a diagnosis at such a young age = very high risk of developing it in the other breast later in life
How often have to do zometa? Did PT help cording? I thought that is what it was for 🤔
@@deborahlanyi5535 zometa is every 6 months (for 5 years). PT did help a lot with my ROM but I haven’t been stretching daily like I used to. I have since began massaging and stretching the cording side (which is also the radiated side) and it is helping a lot already! Thank God!
It depends on your condition. I have it every month and I'm down for 2 years of it. It's for your bones x
I'm really glad to see how well you're looking and very happy you're getting ready for your implant surgery next month! I'm sure all will go well and I hope you will be pleased with the results after your hard work and patience. I had a lumpectomy one week ago and n9de removal and am curious to know more on the " cording" and exercises you do for it. Any plans on incorporating that into your videos? Thank you for sharing your journey with all of us. It's like a dear friend holding your hand through it all saying it's OK I did and so can you. Wishing you and your family a very blessed Thanksgiving ❤
Hi Bri. I have been waiting on your video ❤
Hi Bri... been wondering how you are getting along!
Hi! I’ve been hanging in there. Zometa definitely gave me a few side effects but I am feeling much better now thank God! 🙏🏻💕 How are you doing? 😊
❤i am just starting. I am grateful for all you share.
Hi!! Youve helped me so much during my breast cancer journey. I am also on lupron for ovarian suppression and anastrazole. Does your doctor check your estradiol levels while on these medications? Im just wondering because Im not sure what my estrogen level is supposed to be on this regimen. Thank you so much! ❤
Is your choker tattooed?
I’m so glad I found you! I have been battling ovarian cancer for 3 1/2 years. I just don’t feel like myself and can’t look at myself in the mirror. I’m so grateful to still be here and I’m looking for ways to recognize me through this new treatment journey with taxol and advastin. This video is a blessing! I love your positivity. Wishing you only the best. 💕
I just found your videos and have subscribed. The first one I started watching was after your Mastectomy and complications. 5 minutes in I decided to subscribe and go to the beginning of your journey. So here I am watching and just starting my own journey having been diagnosed just this week with invasive ductal carcinoma L Breast. I’m booked in for for hookwire under ultrasound then Wide excision of the cancer. My journey begins. I allready know from just watching your first video this is going to help me and many others. Thank you so much.
You are so cute. How are you so positive. This is hard😢
You are soo special. Appreciate you explaining so clearly everything! I finished my third ac chemo..it's hard...I cannot wait to finish it.
I had to have permanent tattoos placed. No biggie though. They just look like multiple, tiny pencil dots. I had left breast cancer, and in my case I had to do the holding of the breath. I was told by my radiation tech that it was necessary because when the lung is inflated, it helps to reposition the heart so the heart does not get radiated.
How are you SO positive? You really do not feel yucky from the chemo and the shot? You are so amazing!!!
You do not get that shot to increase white blood ct? I do and its bad!
Did you receive that shot between 24 and 48 hrs to increase the white blood count? I have and it's horrible.
Oh my god. You had x12 Taxol. I don't know how you did it. I had x1 Taxol x4 days ago and I've had such extreme pain. I've had x4 Red Devil before the Taxol plus CTX. Well done. Greetings from South Africa.
Your speech was great! Thanks for helping this cancer survivor!
Oh wow I creed beautiful ❤ iam have like three more to go chemo so yeahhhhh !!!
Great job, Bri! You are an inspiration to cancer patients everywhere. ❤
Love love love this ! As a survivor who had endometrial and breast cancer both diagnosed in a three week period in May, I have enjoyed and learned from your wonderful vlog. The treatments are life saving and brutal at times. I too choose to dance in the rain! Sending love and light!♥️✨
In pre-op ready for my fat grafting 🙏🏻
