- Week 2: Radiation for Breast Cancer | Is That Supposed to Happen? | Invasive Ductal Carcinoma with DCIS
Hi Friends! I hope this video (and all of my videos) help you in some way on your journey. I truly appreciate all of your comments and reading your breast cancer survivor stories, experiences and tips. I am so grateful for YOU!
If you are sharing my TH-cam videos - THANK YOU!! My goal is to spread awareness and help others through my journey as much as I can. Cancer is silent, sneaky and scary. When I found out that I had stage 2 breast cancer, invasive ductal carcinoma, the first thing I did was go on TH-cam and search what to expect & what am I going to look like on chemo, how am I even going to survive this treatment plan, etc…so I truly hope that my journey helps someone who feels scared, lost, or has “fear of the unknown”, whatever they’re looking for to find inner peace, I hope they can find it through me and my journey. We are all in this together, we are family, we are fighters and we will WIN this battle together! 🙏🏻💕😊
I Love You All,
Bri

I had my biopsy on May 2nd and found out May 7th that I haVE invasive ductal carcinoma with focal DCIS - Still waiting on my Her2 status as it had to go out for FISH testing. Who knows what they have me doing but I've really enjoyed watching your video - even before it was confirmed cancer.

Omg, I hope you got rid of that hive. I'm supposed to be painting the front porch today but while I was out there, I i got stung by one of those ugly things. No more painting for me. I can't even find the hive.
😨😨😨
Grate update Bri, I knew you would end up counting the seconds that you were getting radiation, I did that too. LOL Its short, the set up time takes longer than the actual radiation. I had not heard of bingo wing before this video, that's funny. There was one point when the gantry was rotating and the inside calumniator's were changing position to a small beam of radiation that it sounded like an alien. OMG that hornet yikes! I love your upbeat personality! Have a great weekend and Happy Mothers Day!
🙏 praying for You , Your Mom , and Your Daughter .🩷🩷🩷

I LOVE YOUR POSTS! I was diagnosed with IDC in March of this year. I am learning SO much from your posts!! I have not begun radiation yet, however, they did start me on Arimidex. Will you be -or are you- taking any Aromatase Inhibitors? These are meds that reduce your body's production of estrogen. THANK YOU FOR YOUR POSTS!! Love your energy and positivity.
How are you tolerating arimidex? I have breast cancer, will have radiation a start arimidex. I keep reading about all the side effects, how are you tolerating it? Kathy
@@kathleenmiller852 Hi Kathleen. I have been taking Arimidex for a bit over a week. Hot flashes are tolerable, night sweats are more frequent, but not any different than what I've had in the recent past. My hands seem to be more stiff, but other than that, so far-- it hasn't been bad.
Thanks for asking my question xoxo
❤ the music a little emdr
❤happy mother's day
You are awesome 😘..keep up yr spirit! I love them all
I am celebrating my full month L-mastectomy,..good bye boop 😅
Let's keep positive n stay cool.
Cheers ..
Is anyone here on Letrozole? I’d like to hear others experience.
My niece has hormone injections, also
How does your daughter process all of this?
In the beginning, she didn’t understand it (or the severity of it, I should say). But someone sent me a wonderful book to read her called “mommy has breast cancer” and whoever wrote this book did a phenomenal job, because they wrote it from a child’s perspective so she could understand it better. We read it every night for months and she was able to understand everything so much better!
When I had to have my bilateral mastectomy surgery, she was very upset because she didn’t see me for an entire day (& night). But other than that she’s been handling this very well overall. I talk to her about everything (in depth lol!!) because she asks tons of questions - not just about me & cancer but about everything in life lol! She’s a very inquisitive little girl 💕
