Thanks for the video Mark. Wow thats a lot of work. I have a 97 2.8 that I am thinking of changing the speakers on. They still work fine but I feel with the top down are not so great with the volume turned up. Are you going to up grade the woofers or put the old one back in? I look forward to seeing your next video. P.S. I love your enthusiasm, I too love my little roadster!

I finally got a bmw z3. It’s a 2000 2.8 automatic

The problem with BMW plastic: It gets brittle with age and worse if the vehicle's constantly out in the sun. Mark: I'm sure you can find a replacement cover (if needed) but it looks like your wood working skills have taken over on this project. I can't wait to see and hear the finished results... Check your e-mail, I sent a pic of my buddies sub...

Spoiler alert. Whatever speakers you wll put in the Z3 your sound will not be any good when driving over 30mph... :)

Good morning. You are very adventurous and gutsy taking on the speaker system. It is such a HUGE shame that BMW used so much plastic on the Z3, which really pulls down the value of the vintage Z3 today. So much plastic makes me very apprehensive of removing and replacing parts. I have done some work involving the plastic components (installing roll hoops) and have had some (minimal) breakage, so I have been pretty lucky. But, not sure I will go any further fooling with the fragile parts, unless it is critically necessary. Thanks for sharing your informative work! And great to see that you survived the hurricane Helene. 😃

Nice job, i had the same issue with my lights, i removed them from the car and used Griots garage plastic polish on a DA buffer, no need to sand or wet sand I also did the taillights and i was pleased with the results. Keep up the good content

Just completed this job this afternoon after rebuilding the lock cylinder. Which I had found this video earlier! Very well done. I simply could not reinsert the upper lip of the inner panel until I discovered that the upper rear rubber cover can be peeled back, allowing the upper edge of the inner door panel to slide forward under the window seal strip! (Replacing the tumblers in the driver side lock cylinder was a worse nightmare!!

6:29 i fixed this with a magnet because the glove box would fly open evey time i hit a bump but cars been reiliable 198000miles

Perfect for me came apart as you showed had to glue back some parts won't know how hard to install until later this week to allow the glue to set up. Glad I watched this before I attempted to repair. Thank you for all the informative videos.

Hey Hope you are well! My 2000 bmw z3 (Firecracker) has consistently gotten 300+ miles/tank. The last 2 tanks it has dropped to just over 200/tank. Any suggestions as to what is happening? The only light on is the passenger airbag light. Keeping oil checked regularly and when I checked the tires yesterday they were at 32 (recommended is 32) Thoughts?

Mislabeled --- It is window cleaner!!!!! Oooooops - Nope - It is undercarriage cleaner!!!!! Okay --- just determined --- It INSIDE tire dressing!!!!! Remove the wheels, remove the tires and dress up those dull looking tire interiors!!!!!! I usually do mine once a year! Clean and shiny inside and out! 😃😃😃

It is truly amazing this little part (now $6 on Amazon) will leave you stranded. Yesterday taking an offramp, coming out of the turn I dropped it into 2nd, stepped on the pedal and nothing, no wonderful hum & lurch forward... just despair in my heart :( So I came home and the first place I went was here because I love watching all the content. I watched this, went to the car, removed the trim and there was my throttle cable just hanging out... literally, no bushing. @Mark, a HUGE THANK YOU, not only for this video but all the work you do for us Zed-3ers out here. Son of a bitch!! Maybe your not supposed to dry it?!? Just spray it on before you use your vehicle each time and as long as it's wet you have a good shine and at that price you can afford to spray it on each time you use your vehicle!!

I love those style 68 wheels on Michael's Z, great choice... I guess there's a reason why son of a something ended up at the dollar store, probably a bad batch that didn't make it past quality control. I only use Armor All tire foam on my tires, all 16 of them, one can get's them all done. Like mentioned make sure the tires are dry before driving otherwise you'll end up with tire product on the side of your vehicle.

I use Dura Coating products. They are more expensive but they have the longest lasting results compared to other products I've tried. I use their waterless no-touch Xtreme engine bay cleaner, wheely clean and dura tire dressing and love them.

I have consistently gotten 300+ per tank on my 2000 z3. Suddenly the past 2 fillups I’ve gotten just over 200. Any idea why this would happen? I checked my air filter and it looks pretty good.
