Ya this sucka. And I have been aware. What is extremely difficult is trying to explain to a wedding DJ that his lasers will break your camera. They suck are amateur and Chavet has a couple of lightbars with lasers. If there was only an eazy way to fry and break a laser setup.
Unplug it maybe
I find im not getting the same clarity and sheen on my mic sound, even with the DSP. Its sounds decent, but not the best. Are you using additional EQ? And if so, can you elaborate what boosts ir cuts you made? Thanks!
This is an insanely well made video. I love the vibes. What's the song used? And did you ever end up releasing your LUTS? Can't seem to find them.
I didn’t release them, I should sort that out soon! Thanks for the compliments, the Sony was from artlist but I can’t remember the name. I think it’s just like ambient documentary style songs
Just bought the podmic USB to tidy up my desk setup as I want to get rid of my interface, reduce the number of cables etc. This was a nice overview and have to say that having watched a few reviews this mic doesn't sound great for everyone (something I will have to test myself) but it sounds GREAT on your voice. Did you have any of the DSP on in your voiceover or any post processing etc...?
Hey, thanks , appreciate you. It took a bit of tweaking to dial in my preferences but once I was set I was good to go. I used a the Rode processing and had the “big bottom” and sparkle turned up a bit.
@avicreates Ah great thanks. Will have to have a play around and see what works! I rarely use a mic now (hence wanting to scale down) but wanted something decent for when I do.
USB sounds processed with a highpass filter and resonates low bass range around 200hz XLR sounds perfect except for the clipping
This is still by far my favorite microphone. I use it with the RodeCasterDuo and it is quite the pairing! I know everyone gets the SM7B or the new version of it just because everyone else has it, but I use a subwoofer and decent speakers and that mic just has an insane amount of low end. Everyone thinks it sounds great, but I personally think it's just a bit too much and doesn't sound natural at all. This one might be a bit too harsh on the higher end, but RodeCentral's EQ fixes all of this. Highly recommend this one!
I agree with you on everything you said here! 🙌🏽
Do you have free LUTS ?? I like this color sir😊
I don’t, but I really should make a video and make some luts for you guys.
Does it come with stand. Can use with out mixing boarg
No stand, rode version sold separately or u can get generic Amazon ones. Yes can use without mixer.
I've always known the relative size of 1'' in comparison to full frame, it's a weird label but in no way did I feel like the company was lying to me.
Mast grateful
Avi, thank u. so i just need the mic and a cable plugged to my mac with rodecentral s/w installed and good to go? where does the scarlet, focusrite, stuff come in play do i need it? thanks whats a best boom arm to get
Yes all you need is the mic and the apps with usb C and a mic stand or boom arm. Best boom arm is elgato or rode. But you can find cheaper on Amazon. the focus tire was just for the XLR test , you need an interface to plug into the computer if you use that route with the XLR cable.
I paid for a 1 inch image sensor therefore DJI owes me. What a bunch of scamming crooks. This requires a complaint to the FTC and perhaps a boycott.
they can use it in the marketing but it should be clear and transparent on the spec sheet
unable to connect my usb podmic to macbook ;(
Is the light on the back red? Try a different usb cable maybe just to see? I had that issue and it turned out that my sub hub was broken , worked well when I plugged directly into the usb c port on the Mac.
Thanks man 🎉
Very good 👏 I film actually more with the small ZVE1 than with my bigger FX6 😂
Same I use the ZV more than my FX3 , my fx3 is my money maker tho.
So its actually around 1/2 an inch. 50% of what is advertised. Very misleading.
My Panasonic lx10 with a 1” sensor is 13.2 x 8.8 so the dji p3 is comparable at 12.7 x 9.6 mm what’s disappointing is the action 5 still doesn’t use the same size sensor as the p3 being only 10.0 x 7.5mm
Pls what’s your lighting set up like. Can u do a video on that thanks for your reponse
Sure will do , it’s a lantern soft box and a light modifies to replicate a window. Will make a video
Pls what camera you used to shoot this
Sony ZVE1 wide and FX3 tight shot
The simple way is to disassemble the product
Probably version 3
Bros edits, cam quality and the mic (obviously) are so nice, I just had to sub...mine arrived today, but I just like watching reviews before testing stuff out 😂
Hahaah I totally appreciate this, putting in the work pays off when you get comments like this! Appreciate you! 🙌🏽
Do I need something else to power the mic 🎤 apart from my iPhone ?
No you don’t if using the usb c connection and an Adapter.
So would this sensor be larger than the action 5 sensor or smaller?
Yep the DJI osmo pocket 3 is larger than the new action 5 (1/1.3inch)
I moved on the island 3 years ago and I was wanting to send a video to capture the beauty for my family back home. You did a wonderful job capturing the beauty of one of my favourite places to visit on the island. Thank you!
You are very welcome! Glad you enjoyed!
what stabilization did you use here?
DJI RS3 gimbal
1" 'type' sensor...lmao makes total sense. It's like I refer to myself as a 10" type >_<
Hhahahah yes I thought about this on day one! Made me laugh today.remember to like and sub.
@@avicreates I did!
It's not sharp on f1.4 at all, so soft image, it just sharp higher than f2.8
It’s sharp at 1.4 real sharp! But my editing style is different.
@@avicreates No, I mean my own experience with this lens. Unfortunately, I am very disappointed with this lens. What is your camera body model?
Ohh well damn maybe a bad copy, mine is sharp , but the DOF is shallow so you gotta be careful with that aspect. Overall I love it though. I used it on the FX3 the A7IV and the ZVE1
thank you so much for this video. I reversed one step, first disabled the telephone controls, otherwise I could not change the connection to connection via PC.
You are very welcomed! Dont forget to like and subscribe!
how are you liking the ZVE1? does it overheat?
Overheats yes, but very rare, like after 50 minutes continuous on a hot day. But I’ve ran it indoors for more than an hour with no issues. 4K 60 makes it hotter than 4k 24. And because I live in Canada most times no issues. Overall I think it overheated 2 times.
hi just wondering if with models do you do paid jobs or just shoot for free? and how do you find them?
Find a Facebook group on your city and post TPF ads. Collabs. Or reach out to them directly via IG. I even approach random people sometimes in the city. Just be confident and have some work ready to show them so they feel comfortable.
@@avicreates thanks but what if im a beginner with no work?
Yea start by asking friends, message people for collabs, be professional. Go to the site and tell them you are starting off and they get free pics for their time.
Little bit research, Dji Pocket 3 using XGS9400, an old 2019 image sensor from On Semiconductor. The XGS 9400 is a 1/1.2”-type, 9.4 Megapixels with pixel size of 3.2µm From marketing perpective, people can guess why dji don't disclose pocket 3 image sensor
Seriously? What magic happens inside this camera when the XGS9400 is a SQUARE sensor with a resolution of 3072x3072 pixels?
It's been two years no pin comment ? + any way to avoid or prevent but still let us shoot
Don’t shoot where there are lasers, get camera insurance coverage from your insurance company or check out Professional Photographers of America. Buy extended warranty, find out if the client or the venue has insurance coverage for devices etc. That’s it! Not much you can do when it comes to the lasers!

Man this is the best tech review I’ve ever watched. So well made. Just purchased this from Amazon, thanks brother.
Most welcome 🙏🏽, it’s a great piece of gear! 🫡
I grew up in this area and we used to go to the Potholes all the time. Later in the year the water flow goes way down and the water temp goes up so late summer is the time to visit!!
Its absolutely beautiful
So the sensor is roughly as big as a modern mobile phone sensor. Better video capabilities though. Thanks! I wonder how big is the DJI Osmo Pocket 2 sensor, lol.
If I remember correctly when researching this the O2 was half the size.
Does this really matter?
What do you think?
Hey Avi would you rather go for a 24-70 f2.8 or 35 & 85 primes? Main purpose is video on fx3.
Hey so it really depends on your use case. But If it were me id get the 24-70 first because you get 24, 35, 40, 50 and 70 and 70 isnt too far from 85. So it’s very versatile for wide shots and close shots. Try shooting at a specific focal length to learn the differences between them etc. then as you grow you get your primes.i hope this helps, feel freee to ask more questions etc.
@@avicreates thank you! So currently I own a 35 and 85 prime. I'm thinking of buying a 24-70 f2.8 but fear I wouldn't use the primes anymore... So maybe selling the primes for the 24-70 is an option. Or maybe a used 24-70 f4 and keeping the primes?
@cyrill.schwitter how often do you use the primes. I use the 28-75 Tamron most times but I used my primes for “cinematic shots” is it possible to keep the 85mm ? How do you use your camera? For what types of shooting? Vlogs? You’d lose some bokeh at2.8 vs 1.8. I’d hardly ever selll a prime unless I don’t use it all all. Generally I advise 16-35 , 24-70 and an 85 prime to start for paid video work etc. then add 70-200 , 35mm , 50mm and that’s a full kit for paid work.
@@avicreates thats great advice, thank you! I decided to keep the primes for planned cinematic shots and go for a 24-105 for run and gun and travel. Its a very good lens for less money and the fx3 can easily keep up with the 12800 base iso at f4. Bokeh difference from f2.8 and f4 is for me so minimal. Also it has OSS which comes without a crop.
@cyrill.schwitter yea I think that’s a great idea! 24-105 f4 is a beast. Loots of travel documentary films were made with this lens.
If they are all measured to the same metric, the "1 inch" on the pocket is still much larger than the other cameras in its range tho right? I mean I have and already use a pocket and it's fantastic. But this is very interesting!
Yea it’s like maybe a mm difference, still 16mm diagonal. But the technology is much better when it comes to light sensitivity and processing the image. I love it and use it for quick processing etc.
Sent mine back, since it cause wierd noise during movement. Idk if it was broken. I could reduce it by using ruber band. Idk if I will buy it again, maybe mine was broken or if I will get a Zoom or Tascam recorder plus another shotgun mic, or maybe the wireless ones? I want to use it for travel videos, ambient environment sounds plus vocals.
Yea the dampener isn’t the best, maybe that one was faulty, but if you walk heavy or run with it you pick up that noise for sure. That’s the one downside to this.
@@avicreates any recomendation for traveling? Maybe I will give it a try again and if I have the same issue I will send it back again. These DJ Mic 2 wireless seem interesting, but are they usefull for stereo ambient sound as well? It's not easy finding the right mic. The Sony was perfect if there wasn't the issue with the dampener.
I like the DJI MIC 2 , you can set it up for stereo, the nice thing about that is that you can separate the mic’s further to create more dynamic sound. It also has 32bit float. Other than that the zoom audio recorders are great. I really do like the Sony mic , it’s just fast plug and play, no batteries or wires. DJI does offer an adapter that makes the receiver wireless too.
My friend, I love this video; I will be purchasing this mic soon! May I also ask, what camera are you using on this video?
Hi there, yes it’s a great mic. I’m using the Sony ZVE1 for the wide shot and the fx3 for the close ups.
Can we record audio directly through 3.5mm port using trrs cable while connected to type c too.
I suppose you can since it’s the monitoring channel so it sending an output signal. You may have to connect it to a recorder etc.
This really isn't a DJI issue it's the camera industry and government consumer regulations and enforcement allowing it. The problem is they allowed this back in the 80s when cameras went digital. So this has been going on for almost 50 years. I learned a few years ago when I upgraded from 1/3" camcorder to 1". Spoiler alert 1/3" sensor are smaller than 1/3". Osmo actually has a big sensor considering how small it is. Btw this is nothing new for example monitors size are described by their diagonal (including the frame) and computer memory and hard drive size is smaller than listed because its described using bytes.
I will never like and subscribe. You talk way too slow and boring and stopped the video 3 times to subscribe. I think you should work on your content creating skills. Great boring information though
Still got you to comment tho, thanks for the engagement! 😁
@avicreates only trying to help you grow your channel. Don't let your feelings get the best of you.
@ProjectDefi you ain’t fooling anyone but yourself with these comments! Lmao 😁😁😁
@@avicreates tricks on me. Jaja
@@ProjectDefi I like your honesty , I’d make better content in the future! 🙌🏽
IMO. I don't think anyone is lying about anything. It just so happens for whatever reason, the industry term for this 16mm diagnal sensor is "1-inch" sensor 🤷♂️.
hey @nVuFilms, love your content! I follow on my other page! thanks for chiming in!
@@avicreates 👍
Picking on of these up today for my sound tests. Super pumped 🙌🏼
great choice, its an amazing device!
Nobody cares about the actual sensor size, most consumers are after the image quality. And it is an incredible camera for it’s size. And this is the reason why this is so popular.
If nobody cares then they won't have to lie about the marketing...
Thank you!
You're welcome!
Same goes with xioami phones which doesn't use 1 inch but still say 1 inch. Only the ultra phones I guess xioami 14 ultra uses 1 inch
This is nothing new all camera companies advertise as such.
Hello! New to many of you read the comments! 😁
