Here is some footage from the Sony FX3 in S-Log3 at 4k 60Fps.
I've managed to get my hands on the Sony FX3 3 weeks ago and I have been testing it out in S-LOG3. Enjoy this 85mm 1.4 Sample footage I shot. On a few occasions the lens could not have kept up with the pace of walking. however, my tracking setting were set to 3 on AF and AS so that may have been my fault. Overall I'm really Impressed with this camera. Also the MacBook Pro 13'' with the gen 1 M1 processor is able to handle these 4K files. Its a beauty.

Hi Avi! (שלום) I really liked this - I’m thinking to use that combination for interviews as I liked the zoomed in look of the 85mm.
Did you record in ProRes raw ?

Hey Ron, I myself use a 2 camera setup for interviews, 85 is great for the close up. I didn’t shoot pro res raw, just 10 BIT 200mbps HS. Cheers, look forward to seeing your work

Great job man ! Did you over exposed your S-log 3 at 1.7 ? With phantom Luts ?
Hey Moussa , I didn’t , I just exposed around 60IRE for skin tones and that was it. I’ve been reading some Reddit forums and the overexposing techniques isn’t recommended for the FX3 etc. but I have really tested that aspect. I just get my skin tones right and go with that.
No phantom Luts either, I just grade to my liking.

Absolutely brilliant film. Excellent colour grade. How did you colour grade. Would love to colour grade like this with the Sony A74
I’d have to do a video on colour grading , I use Final Cut, then convert the slog to Sony Rec 709, after that I push the colours around to my liking, or use a lut and tweak settings. And yes the a74 can look like this for sure.

I bet! That was my first option, but I opted for the fx3 and a7iv instead to start.
Prior to this I had a7iii and a7c.
FX6 hopefully by the years end. Fingers crossed!! 🤞🏽

It’s pretty decent, there’s a new version, check it out the V 2, and see what’s the consensus. You can even look for a used one of these on FB marketplace and maybe get a real deal.
