metal detecting the land

Hi all,On this episode I head to an estate to metal detect a field in a very good historic area, unfortunately for the farmer he had to spray this 60 acre field off due to it getting over run with black grass I couldn't detect the full field because the crop was really thick in parts and couldn't sweep through it,I managed to find some medieval artifacts and coins I will definitely be returning ...

Ive detected skegness beach a few times, but only ever done the dry sand, plenty of pound coins first thing in the morning, thanks for posting 😊
Morning Kieth sorry for delay, found about £150 2 ship half pennies , bin going on there since 1976 bugger all in beaches u need a full week to get bag o chips money not worth hassle, stayed on Thorpe park , nowt on that bit 1970s still now t had a go sand dunes back of fitties few of old coins ,stick to Doncaster area loads Roman few hammered had a gold stater tons I geo n vikky best thing there is Valentino’s restaurant 😂 , hope u back soon , Neil Barnsley
Where you got that £1 coin from did u check the hole before you filled it in as it sounded like there was more then one in there
R u still detecting , have u done with videos. Thanks Neil Barnsley , was on cleethorps beaches last week keep an eye out for u , what’s this about a permit 😮cheers
Hi Neil, still detecting just went through rough time so stopped uploading and having fully made my mind up if I'm coming back yet, haven't been on cleethorpes for over a year got sick of them enforcement twats harassing you every time you go on,did you find much when you went
Keith how are you mate ? You still detecting ? Hope you ok buddy 👍
@happydace6991 Hi mate, I'm fine had abit of a rough year but all good,I do still get out detecting but not as much as I used to,have left my channel running incase I come back,i might start uploading again and see how it goes,I hope you and your wife are OK and thanks for the message
@@lincolnshireshistory6877 thanks Keith nice to hear from you . I know it's been tough for you last 12months mate but hope it just gets better with time . I thought about you as I saw a vid on detecting at Cleethorpes yesterday so naturally you came to mind . You made spot on vids mate , no frills . We really enjoyed them . Hope you feel like resuming them one day . Best wishes to you and yours mate . Don't let yourself get too down mate 👍
Which sand scoop do you use?
just looking at that ring and I'm sure that stone is real... the clue is on the inside of the ring.. there is always a hole for the setting of the stone /stones by the jeweller, plus easy cleaning or repairing . look it up for more info :) ATB
Beautiful gold ring bro, awesome thanks for the video. Happy hunting
Excellent video, but just a quick warning that you should not use stainless or galvanized steels for the anode in the water...The reason for this is that during the process, certain chemicals are produced in the water which can cause cancer. I have no idea how much of an issue this is in real terms, but if you use plain steel, such as an old HSS metal drill bit, for the anode, you avoid the risk.
That is nice. I have CTX 3030 Minelab metal detector. This week i buy a car..Range Rover Sport, and i go to any beach in UK. ...Yuuupppeeee...
Great video! Just getting into metal detecting and plan to beach detect at weekend hope I'm as lucky as you 😀
That blue stoned thing looks like it could be the top of a ring . the 2 nubs was where the ring was attached .
That horse shue and the last ring i think i recognise from the previous video .
Brilliant mate - loved it. I have a Nokta Simplex Ultra that is a beach virgin, hoping to get out there really soon.
Great video, and thoroughly entertaining. 👍
How do you get a permit to metal detect on uk beach
Hi,you don't need permit for most UK beaches, you do for cleethorpes and you get that for free from nelc website hope that helps
@lincolnshireshistory6877 thanks I saw a video you did of cleethorpes and you needing a permit wasn't sure on how I would get one thanks for the reply
Your welcome
Wow great beach
Really enjoying your videos and for someone returning to the hobby after 35 years it was very informative for me. I have a few questions, i have been on the council website and it says the beach is of historical interest and you need a permit to detect on it, but only one day might be approved at any one time. How did you manage to get on there to detect and why is the beach of historical interest. I'm just trying to detect within the law
Hi mate, thers 1 part of the beach that as remains of a ancient forest straight opposite wonder land near low water mark, the council have used every excuse to ban it on ther,it's restricted to no further than peir on left side and no further than grone on right site and no further than leisure centre they recon thers sea grass growing beyond them boundaries but have yet to see any,you have to apply for permit every time you want to go,hope that information helps and good look with the detecting
Супер. 🎉🎉🎉
Hi good video. Just out of interest isnt that beach owned by the crown estate because i thought you could detect them. Atb Sam
Yes it's owned by Crown Estate but nelc have found loop holes in the system so now it's limited to a very small part of the beach where you can detect
do you have to get permission to detect on the beach ?
Cleethorpes you do,but most beachs you ,if it's Cleethorpes you want to detect you can get free permit from nelc website
What metal detector are you using please
Hi Shaun,I'm using the minelab equinox 800
whats beaches like over there mate after the recent storms?
Not sure mate I haven't been out in a good while got a lot going on and just lost me Dad
@@lincolnshireshistory6877 sorry to hear that mate...condolences from leeds
Are all beaches in uk need to get a permit.
Hi Pauline, no most Beachs you can detect without a permit it's mainly just cleethorpes Beach where you do
Good video mate...newbie to detecting, what model is your minelab mate?
It's the 800 mate
I know between ulceby cross and partney roundabout there’s a burial site from the plague and they arnt allowed to farm it you’ll notice where on the right if you look out.
I wasn't aware of that one,if ther not allowed to farm it then it will be a listed monument so metal detecting will be a no go aswell thers 100s of sites very similar all over lincolnshire I will definitely have a look when I'm next passing thanks for information 👍
Why have you got band from the beaches it was given to the people from the people.and that I believe is from the Royals
Because nelc think they can do what they want it's a discrace really mate
Nice video, and inspiring too. Thinking of starting up metal detecting myself. Can you recommend a decent shop to make my purchase? Thanks
Hi Andrew, thers leisure promotions,Joan Allen, regtons,Crawfords they all do next day deliver and are all good honest shops but worth checking all ther websites because sometimes some have spical deals on hope that helps
@@lincolnshireshistory6877 wow, what a prompt reply. Thank you. I’ll do some checking today. I’m located near south hams coast, plenty of beaches and coves to explore. Thanks again for your advice 😊
Your very welcome mate
@@lincolnshireshistory6877 thought I'd let you know, purchased a Nox800 plus pro find 35. Nice chat with a guy called Pete. Thanks for the recommendation
@andrewnewby1918 that's a good choice mate good luck with yout beach detecting
I might be wrong, but isn't the sand/beach area crown land and we have permission to detect without a certificate unlike in the past.
That's very correct mate, but nelc have different ideas so now you have to apply for a permit every time you go and it's limited to where you can go on ther plus ther enforcement officers are protroling the area all the time
Great finds man
Ty mate
Whats this nonsense with them nazis ? Are you not allowed metal detect in cleethorpes anymore absolute wankers
How deep were them targets over 12 inch i reckon serious digging in the wet sand
On ther easily dig signals 18" plus deep but not clear toned signals just little pings because ther out of range
Savage looking beach must take a holiday here im from ireland
To be honest it's not very often you have a decent session on ther unless thers storm damage and now the council have restricted where you can detect its more difficult to hit into the old stuff but your 99% sure you will be aproched by enforcement lol
Hi Keith good job yer didn’t find a blade yer would get busted for knife crime 😂joking aside it’s a sad situation look where our tax moneys going real crime they would run a mile
Pmsl mate, and totally agree, where sort on policing so they should employ more police instead of some wollys with 0 powers
Disgusting!!! They should tell you there filming you. You are well in your right not to give your details. Don't know who they think they are
Hi mate, they like to think they have Powers but they have none, even the police have power to ask for details unless a crime been committed total waste of tax payers money
Those two are a waste of tax payers money...
Very true mate,23k salary total joke
Do you have to apply for a kermit now? I thought it was applying day by day? Are we talking a hard copy of a permit now? I think you must be on the plod's hit list! I'm having a lean time of it finds wise. It goes like that I'm afraid, although looking at some You Tube productions it's top finds every time.
Hi mate,no it's still apply for the permit day by day on nelc web site, ment to carry proof of permit with you,and yeah lincolnshires beachs are very hard work atm
" You ever been chinned doing this ? " 😂😂😂😂 Class mate ! 👊 Great vid as always and respect for standing your ground mate . It is a really sad situation there now though . Having to apply to the cuntcil everytime you want to go ( sure there is a misspelling in there somewhere 🤔 .... or maybe not . ) is obviously designed to make it difficult for the detectorist . And WHY !???? FFS !! Anyway .... love your beach work Keith , your commentary tells you know that beach like the back of your hand . Tides , sand shifts etc . really interesting to hear about it all. And if you're having a lean spell then welcome to the club ! 😆. Nice round up as always mate and thanks for sharing ☺️👍🍻
Ty mate, and yeah council have made it so difficult on ther, back up for review in September I think it is, and I reckon they will fully ban it on.Ther, hope you and wife are keeping well
@@lincolnshireshistory6877 All good here thanks Keith . That situation really stinks ! Clearly there is a sad individual on the council with a chip on his shoulder about detecting. Might be worth contacting the NCMD for advice prior to September to see if any action can be taken if a ban occurs . Good luck with it all anyway mate . I hope you keep getting those knobs approach you , it's great viewing watching you blitz them 😆.
ever been chinned doing this "NO" alway's a good chance one day 🤕
Land filth one day council beach filth the next your being head hunted pal 😂😂😂
Pmsl mate, they say it comes in 3s I'll have to be careful 🤣
@@lincolnshireshistory6877 It'll be hmrc next asking if you're going to declare that 6p in spendable you found 😂
beach nazis in england? 😁
Lmao mate, yeah unfortunately we do it's ridiculous
Lol, you handled that well 🤣
Cheers mate.
They are proper nob jockeys, Keith mate
100% mate🤣
Find it hard to believe they haven’t got the technology to check permits in the system. If that’s truly the case whats to stop you photoshopping an old one with a new date and printing it off? Wanky half arsed system!
Hi mate, that's what I thought aswell, ther definitely needs to be a better system put in place, but it is nelc so don't expect any different 😉
Following on from your last video, I re iterate, no way can you get any help form the police when you meed them , 2 effing EO's to patrol around harassing innocent folks. Clown world. Crops are coming off now so bugger the beach. all the best..
Cheers mate,i agree it is a f.u.ked up system, can't wait for this rain to clear so they can start harvesting the crops
Shouldent even talk to the pratts , just turn your back and ingnore , they have ZERO powers !!!
Very true mate, but they just call police
faird dues mate for going out in that weather...some not bad finds makes it a bit more worth while... and yes they are r..soles ..what a job
Cheers mate,I don't. MInd going out and not finding anything or been out in the bad weather, but it's annoying when your in world of your own and turn around and you got enforcement up your backside lol
gotta love a pair of sad jobsworths m8, glad you stuck it up em, hilarious))
Cheers mate 🤣
Bloody jobs worth Keith cannot leave anyone alone atb
I know mate,it puts you off going on ther just to keep getting arassed by them
Wow what a field bud bloody hammie then ampular very nice some stuff on there mate keep smashing it be even better when cut or rolled 👏 👍
Thanks mate, looking forward to getting back out in them fields
@lincolnshireshistory6877 same been months lol got a good few crops coming off soon so cant wait....
Just found out you do detecting videos too lol 😆
