im glad your okay though i know when it happen to me with 3 months after i got my license really opened my eyes up i need to learn more about what i could do next time. i even lost my first bike to i didnt even have the hard plates on it yet i was so sad. then a month later i got a new one a month a later

I've been there, and I'm glad you are alright. Sounds like you took it a lot better than I did. I was pissed, and it took months for me to calm down and realize I was lucky to be alive.

I was in a bad accident in 09,was actually on a test ride with a heritage, county road in Ky, nice 2 lane , clean road, runnin 40 to 45, car behind not tailgating. began to enter a blind curve, outside lane, boom bright red Yukon, female driver dark hair white sunglass on comimg in my lane at a pretty high speed, oh on the cell phone too, i swerved to avoid a head on, there was a pretty steep decent off the shoulder i couldnt avoid, so off roading i go, ruts, rocks, trees and moguls, i ended up laying it down when front tire hit a large rock hidden in the tall grass. Trashed the bars, mirror, front fender and left side saddle bag, curled the clutch lever. The lady in the yukon never stopped. Had some minor cuts but my left knee looked like a basket ball. The car behind me stopped. They actually worked at the dealership in adverising. Long story short, after returning to the dealership, i bought the previous Heritage i rode earleir. They were in shock! I simply said what you did, wasnt my fault and i love to ride. I ended up in the hospiral with my knee, when i was better i returned to ride my new to me heritage from ky, back to illinois. I traded that on a 2018 RG IN 2020, in 2024 i traded that for a new 24 RG. Put 20 k on it last year, ill be riding as soon as the ice n snow get off the road! Im 69 years young❤ stay safe Ride your ride, Enjoy. Never ride faster than your Angels can fly!!!

Glad to hear you’re ok. I hate wrecking any kind of vehicle. I just got into an accident myself at the beginning of November and I broke my collarbone and some ribs. The insurance company didn’t total out my bike but it sucked waiting on someone else’s decision. I hope you get another one and it’s just as special as this Harley.

Glad you're ok. I knew a motorcycle riding instructor that once told me there are no such things as motorcycle "accidents", it's a motorcycle crash. You calling it an accident makes it sound like you are not holding yourself accountable for the crash, in other words you are the one that put yourself in a situation to be hit even though it was her fault legally. Assume everyone on the road won't obey the street laws, assume they all are aiming for you, don't put yourself in any position that they can possibly hit you, blind spots, etc.. Plan 1000 feet down the road not 10 feet down the road. That's the way I look at it and it's helped me survive 50 years of riding so far. I hope Insurance takes care of you. Dyna's rule!

Been riding 30+ years and best advice I can give is ride defensively… don’t trust anyone. Left turners… intersection turners like what happened… ride like they can’t see you. I’m always prepared to brake in these situations and always lay off the throttle. Glad you’re ok man!

The problem with car drivers and motorcycle riders is that car drivers don't appreciate the quickness of motorcycles and how fast they are compared to cars. Motorcycle riders need to also appreciate how slow average cars are in moving compared to motorcycles. Give car riders a lot of room. Also motorcycle riders need to add more lights to their bikes to be seen easier..

Glad you are ok Cam!! I totally agree with everything you said. I got into my accident in May of 2019, two weeks before Laconia Bike Week. Talk about feeling really pissed off, and like you said in this video, I didn't even care what was wrong with me. All I kept saying was " omg, my bike, I'm going to Laconia in two weeks, my bike!! " and then wondering if my bike would be ready to ride by then. ...How it happened... It was in May 2019, Memorial Day weekend, two weeks before Laconia Bike Week. My friends and I went riding out to South County RI, along the CT border. We were on a country backroad and I hit a patch of sand on the road , I tried to get out of it , but it was too late, and I was heading straight to a telephone pole. Thank God, my friends were with me, because I was a nervous wreck, being my first motorcycle accident and watching my bike crash into the pole ( right before the impact, I somehow jumped off my bike and landed in one spot ). I definitely had a guardian angel on my shoulder that day. Like you said, the only thing I was concerned and cared about was my bike. I just started to change things on it, new chrome front end and forks, new air breather, my chrome wheels , chrome rotors, pulley were on order, and all I kept thinking about was that I wouldn't be able to ride my bike to Laconia that year. After I calmed down with the help of my friends and thank God for them, I had my bike towed to my mechanic. When I got there, he was waiting for me. He told me not to worry because there was no frame , neck, or fork damage...just my handlebars my windshield ( thank God I had it on ) my air breather and mt throttle body had damage. Also , I had small dent in my tank. My mom was there waiting for me, because I needed a ride back to my place. She asked me if I was ok, and I said yeah . She then said " get that bike fixed and get back on it and ride ". And that's what I did....a week later all of my chrome parts come in and I bring them to my mechanic, he tells me that they can't match the paint to the rear fender because it was a custom paint job ( my bike was originally Pearl White and in the sunlight it changed colors a little ). So I said, " scratch the white and were going to paint it Midnight Blue with flake and I will pay the difference for what ever needs to be done, "...and what you see in my videos, is my vision on what I wanted my bike to look like. When I got my bike back, I rode it every single that it wasn't raining. I'm glad in a way, just like you said, because it brought me back to reality and made me realize that anything can happen in a blink of an eye. I still went to Laconia, just not on my bike. Again, thank God you are ok. Looking forward to seeing you get another bike and customizing that one too. Keep up the great work and awesome Maiden poster too 💯🤘🏻

Glad you are ok-ish but mostly ok after the accident. Had an accident 6monts ago me on my 01 dyna and as you said idiot driver infront of me. Im in the process now to repair my turquoise iron maiden! Not gonna lie i had quick thoughts of giving up riding but hell no!!! I liked myseld and the feeling when I was on my motorbike. Recover and be safe brother. Greetings from Scotland!!!!

That bike saved your life. Any major motorcycle accident where you can walk away from is considered a Garran angel moment. I have had one major accident where I was I hospital for 4 months bike was 6 months old dude got the timing wrong at a give way intersection and he ran the gauntlet I hit the driver side door at 80km over the roof but through the windscreen of the car.

Cam, you’ve got the right attitude and the right frame of thinking. Glad you’re whole. Don’t let this deter you and learn from it. Come back bigger, better, badder.

You have to read all the traffic 360 thinking what can happen here in advance, imagine what could transpire in any given situation but well in advance. Glad you are good, now you know.
