    Miracle find on your bike Cam! No wonder your Dad drove all that way to take a look! He’s got a good eye and knowledge! Congratulations again! I had forward controls on my first bike a Yamaha 650. I loved them!

      Thank you! I have forwards on my Honda Shadow and they were much more comfortable 👍

    Go for the t bars man. Fit and finish is totally worth it. Makes for a comfortable ride and great performance

    Just get a crash bar/engine guard and use that to stretch rest your legs and use the passenger pegs to do the same on longer rides gotta keep that circulation going

    Im 6’. I have forward controls. Way more comfortable. I also have buckhorn bars. Very easy on the arms. Swept back. I also put the front turn signals on the front forks. Cleaned up the handle bars. As you know, it’s all your call. Enjoy.

    Awesome brother. Whats also awesome is you're documenting your motorcycling journey from the beginning. Wish i did that, it's priceless. And foward controls will change your life

    Always liked the alloy motor and that style of mags on that bike. I’ve had a couple Dynas.
    That’s a neat bike. Put the forwards on, maybe even floorboards.

    Cam, take tour time on the customization process. Ride your new Dyna for a bit and then go with safety items followed by comfort pieces. Most importantly, enjoy riding with your Pops. 🤜🏼

    Dude there’s no other feeling like that first ride on your HD, take your time and enjoy it there’s no rush to upgrade but I know it’s almost winter and that’s what we do in the winter. Maybe look at some highway pegs instead of switching to forward controls, also check out some solo extended reach seats to help with feeling cramped.

    • @Riders_Realm
      @Riders_Realm  ปีที่แล้ว

    Crash bar on front to rest your legs, leave the mid controls I learn the hard way. I'm 6' and learn to live with the mids. Does switch blades Wheels are the best, you can powder coat them. Enjoy the ride💪💪💪💪💪

    Use the fuel gauge when stationary, glance at the trip meter when riding. Get an average of how many miles you get to a tank, comfortable amount of fuel left in the tank, when you get near your miles you'll know to go searching for the next fill-up.
    I never rode a bike with forward controls before and I love them on my 07 Street Bob.

    • @Riders_Realm
      @Riders_Realm  ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi Cam! Well of course I found your channel through your dad's channel. Congrats on your new Super Glide. In my opinion the SG is a great way to get into your first Harley. My first HD was a black 2002 SG of course it had the TC 88 engine. Some of the upgrades I did to my bike was Laced wheels, chrome battery cover, chrome center console and a gage bracket which allowed me to have my speedo and tach together. I found that I paid more attention to the tach than the speedometer! Love your new ride and good luck with it. Dave

    Avg. 5 10 have forwarded controls on my 14 fxwg, have stage one screaming eagle, an shorty Hines pipes, I also like I can Cruz in 6 great, drop to 5th before a deep corner an feel the, power band in low end as it kicks me out the other side, don't know if you ever caught a foot peg in corner, but I prefer a curved engine guard,

    The dynas are great bikes mate, and that is a very cool bike you have. Forward controls are a game changer, and you won't regret it. I've had the 2014 street bob special, and the 2012 wide glide. I now have the 2023 LRS as I like the classic looks with the 117 M8. Good video. I'm subbed to your dads channel, and may well sub to yours if you keep the good content coming out. • @jesseylee72

    Camster, don't put any chrome covers on the lower motor area, primary area or transmission to cover the grey finish. My opinion, your asking for heating problems and unwanted weight.
    Go different and go apes and forward controls. I owned two 2011 FXDCI 's and own a 2006 FXDWGI. FXD' are great, so enjoy because you will be in a bagger next year (LOL).

    Commented on your dad's video yesterday that you looked cramped with the mid controls you defiantly need forwards. Nothing to crazy but forward enough to where your thighs are not upward as they seem to be in the video. Your knees looked higher than your seat.
