    unfortunately pvp is turning me away from what looks like an awesome game i lay games to explore and relax so the idea of pirate players stealing your cargo sucks the enjoyment out of it for me i will probably wait on this game

      We will have to see what happens after Pyro comes out. My guess is that security around Stanton will get much higher. But to get truly safe gameplay areas I think we will have to wait for Terra

    I honestly found the missions blend, uninteresting, boring, gameplay or location wise, there is no diversity between missions, no narrative, no engagement. If the mission refactor doesn't bring interesting mission, my opinion of the mission team which was already low, will reach rock bottom

    Personally I think the easiest solution is to delete MM, cap all speeds based on the ships power plant. Shorten the range and projectile speed of weapons based on size. A HH or Capital ship should out range other ships and be dangerous to attack. Give us back tri-cording for pip evasion and keep the firing cone. Create a tutorial system that teaches the dangers of jousting and how to avoid it. And if someone starts jousting you just keep turning with guns on and you will win thus punishing jousting. If they are going to joust punish them coming in and going out.

    As always excellent observation and commentary. I have always found the contract manager difficult, yes its me, people share contract to the party and I miss them, id like to see some persistent indicator of the contract share and for it to be more clearly highlighted in the contract manager, you are correct Elite dangerous does this better and almost encourages me to go back to it, almost.

    Is there an option for player to submit there premade load outs so others can review them and pick what they like by visual or stats and then generate that shopping list rather than each player trying to search piece by piece to create a what they are looking for?

      Yes! Once you assemble a loadout, there is a share loadout button at the top of the form which will generate a link to what you selected that you can share with people

    Waiting to have a global "public enemy" reputation for thoses killing needlessly others. One which would allow early alert of players and NPC nearby as well as allow them to immediately fire without any consequences. One which would need dedication to bring back to a neutral level.

    I feel like gamers want to have their cake and eat it too. A sim is supposed by to be as immersive as possible. And if we are trying to simulate a vast, lawless area .. unless it's an armistice zone .. then PVP should be allowed. If you keep getting destroyed or targeted, then get a better ship. Maybe they need a separate server for people who just want a sandbox to fly around in, with no real challenges or risk.

    It seems to me that people are forgetting an important tool in their arsenal: Noise to hide ourselves form our ennemies' targeting system and missiles. Use the panic button to send lot of decoys and noises, then engage the QSpool while hidden in the cloud. Would need a bit of training to manage that.

    I just wanted to say that MSR skin is awesome. Also I don’t think contested zones are really going to hit with most players. If they had a way to guarantee a reward even if you die, then you might get more pve’rs involved.

    Honestly, mining is already impractically slow and costly against real world comparisons. It’s the “age of sail” technology and processes appearing inexplicably in this space age game.

    I apologize, but you're totally wrong here 4:02 with all due respect, being able to spawn near the contested zone is not a problem instead it's a great improvement to the way we play SC, one of the greatest issues with Star Citizen currently is the time sinks for getting any action or gameplay, especially for new players and people who wanna do constant PVP, each time you wanna do a simple bunker mission you need spend 5 - 10 minute preparing and traveling, now i know this is fundamental to how star citizen works and am all for it, the idea that you need to prepare and fly in space to get to ur destination, but the choice and ability to get quick action and fun gameplay should be around. and don't forget that progressing in a contested zone requires you moving to other contested zones, you'll say but i can set my spawn point there also, not if we applied rep and some stations you can't dock and refuel and spawn there without rep.

    Activities around landing zones should be stuff like gambling, board games, racing, nerf battles that sort of thing. Little to no reward but a small chunk of gameplay for some small change collected from other players who participate. You could convert 2 of a stations hangars and cover all of this gameplay no problem using already existing assets. You can then mix it up for different locations, maybe it's a shooting gallery, maybe it's chess, an arcade game, pool, boxing. The possibilities are endless really. But I don't expect we'll even see plans for any of this for many, many years if at all. 😂

    If you take in to cinsideration crafting/Base building and NPC (+Ship building they hint at/degrade) and dont for get about the possibliy that the economy will be fully player supply/Ddemand at some point I can see the ship playing a BIG roll. No more AI traders just selling 100000000 of something out of the blue. and We dont even know how fast or how much Ore can be refiend in the ships.. For all we know it can be a 50% loss, or they may use fuel to do it and if so how much? Its to soon to say if there good or bad.. just that we know they have big plans for SC and at some point maining will be very inortant for player economy when all the crafting /degrade stuff starts to get added.

    They never said there was one point for getting in/out, they said there will be multiple point to get in and out both gorund and ship dock/doors and there will be Elevators for getting larger loot boxs out. They also said that the AI will be pushing back heavy in these zones so you cant just wait and camp a point for to long or you will get over run. (If solo) Yes, the loot sys need work but don';t for get im sure we will have ALOT of new loot/gear in 4.0 and ship part will (at some point) degrade over time in 4.0 so you may need to go in to the zone for new paarts to farm, turning it in to a loop to run so you're ship can stay in top shape. (and maybe gear will degrade at some point to they said)

    I think sometimes you just need to let the game be a game. I understand that they want to maximize verisimilitude in the game. But there isn't really a good way to realistically represent personal inventory from a first person perspective. I'm fine with using kiosks as the access point. They just need to move the default camera or make the kiosk invisible from the inside so we can see what we're doing. In terms of improving the system, I'd really like to see preset loadouts / outfits so that I can walk to a kiosk or locker and click a button to switch from one loadout to another. If not all of the items are available in the location, it gives you a warning so you can select items to add after the loadout selection (or go buy something).

    I'll be hiring high lvl NPC's most of the time and let friends take those slots when we're playing together. Unless a real good reputation system comes into play , I think most players think that way. NPC's will get better once servers are more stable. According to CIG NPC's will be very good at what they do if they get xp enough ... and more expensive ofc. I think that s a good thing. (edit: typo)

    I like your idea of each method working on a different type of ore, and I think that is how a ship refinery should work in essence. However, to bring in engineering gameplay I would add in the ability to "Tune" your refinery for each ore. I would make it so that ore has more than one element in it so that you have to adjust method for the part you want, as well as the temperature, the pressure, and or the reagent volume. So lets say that you have ore that consists of iron and copper, you can choose to either use the smelting process or electrolysis method. Smelting will give you either Iron or Copper, but only one, and if you choose Copper it will be low quality and lower volume. Electrolysis will give you high purity copper in a larger quantity, but can't be used with iron. The other options would let you dial in on yield and/or purity depending on method.

    I'm super late to the party but I think you missed the actual most important issue with the crew problem. OPPORTUNITY COST. realistically it will be nearly impossible to balance AI blades and NPC crew. IF they exist, players will never crew. if they don't get implemented then player crew can be a thing. The problem is human nature. People will always gravitate to the most efficient method available. Metas will always develop. and unfortunately, the truth is that no captain will ever hire a player as a crew member when they can instead hire that player to fly their own ship also fully crewed with ai blades or npc crews. the opportunity cost is too high. by having that player be in a single turret spot. you are giving up the potential to have that player sit in another captain's chair of another ship with all of its turrets also functioning without help. it's a no brainer choice. why have one turret efficiently manned when you can have an additional 4-6 turrets less efficiently manned. im not going to ever hire 2 people to run the two turrets on my connie. when i could instead hire them to bring TWO WHOLE MORE CONNIES.

    i for one would like a refining minigame where i can directly impact a refinery's workload and quality. but it would have to be all carrot and no stick so a player's involvement can only ever IMPROVE the outcome to varying degrees so as not to incentivize griefers who would deliberately perform poorly to sabotage the outcome for as many players as possible. instead, if a player gets REALLY GOOD at this skill based refining minigame, their reputation with the refinery goes up and they can take on progressively more difficult refining tasks. if they botch jobs though, it harms their reputation and they are trusted with progressively less until they're basically just playing with a skill assessment simulation level of task that has no actual logistical impact on the refinery output.

    Hi, we have "refining version 1.0". I could imagine, they will fine tune this in the future, like use "method x" for the cheap resources and refining method y for the more expensive ones. Also, when we look at the terminal, most times we see they are 1000% over their limit and yes, if you still want to refine your stuff there, it is already more expensive now. So when we have more star systems, maybe they will charge you way higher prices the more they will get to the 100% limit or maybe they even refuse to take any new orders because they storage is full. Then you have to a) wait, b) fly to another refinery/system or c) fly to player driven refineries ( i can imagine we will get something like this ). So long story short, I am pretty sure we will see some major changes there.

    That refinery ui is so much better than most of star citizens other ui. The ui/ux team at cig seems to have too many isolated pockets and I hope after the new mfd we see some major ui improvements

    One new feature that I would like to see at station refineries is the ability to convert saddlebags into SCU containers of unprocessed materials. Which could then be transported to a different refinery, bringing cargo gameplay into the loop.

      Difficult... How do you get a your 0.2 scu of quartz into a 1 SCU box. Unless you have it an inventory item unto itself, like hand mined gems and you are able to put it into any size box. Maybe it's not difficult after all

    The refining names are all based on systems. It would make sense if they had yields tuned for that planetary system.

    Off topic and on topic question in regards to mining/refining/selling. What is a fair split in profits? Say I have a full crew mole most of the time I just do an equal share of all profits made but what is an actual equal share when the owner with a kitted mole has spent a couple mil outfitting said mole?

    CiG have really grown themselves into a corner, haven't they?from raising the funds to make a game, into an organisation that demands endless funding, just to exist.. and we still don't have an actual product, just lots,and lots, and lots of pretty digital assets, within a build of part baked, constantly changing, systems, that lack proper cohesion. years of CR dreaming away resources, at the expense of backers, and a development that still hasn't dialed into a solid, actionable plan. ..and now they are sending emails to 'select' backers, offering 'limited stock ships' from.previous low volume offerings. this highly targeted 'buy now because you missed out' borders on desperation, and is very alarming.

    I really want to love this game, solo playing is amazing but the bugs are frustrating. I want to play to relax not to quite rage, I have enough stress at work, then this shit…
