Mustang alpha and beta have nose turret with dual size 2 hardpoints and 2 size 1 hatdpoints on the wings so the aurora is not better armed only counting the hardpoints. The delta has 4 size 2 hardpoints plus the dump fire rocket pods
Love the NOMAD, but.... im having a lot of problems in 4.0 with it, random ship destruction.... jumped in pyro and got it completely disabled, all components damaged, doors would not open.... took a missile the other day from a 100i in a bounty, disabled all shields, radar and a failing cooler, had to blind fire the 100i to finish the mission, could not even target. Today i landed at an outpost, went inside a building to loot some Cruz and when i came back the ship was on the floor, missiles droped, hull all broke... it was an armistice outpost, so could not being fired at while i was in the building, very weird stuff happening to my NOMAD this days.... SC being SC i guess.
Cutter should be A tier, not b. The cutter is the ONLY vehicle with a bathroom, shower, bed AND enough room for some small starter ground vehicles that fit in it. How in the heck is a 300 series and a reliant series A tier and the cutter is not? Silly.
Respectfully, the bathroom and shower are entirely useless so far and it's nearly impossible to see how they would make them beneficial long-term. As far as small vehicles, Titan: PTV, Hover quad, Nox Reliant Kore: PTV, STV, Nox Pisces: PTV, Nox 315p is a dream starter with good handling, okay firepower for its size, a bed, 12 SCU cargo, and a tractor beam.
The QoL features of the Cutter may one day be a big deal but today they are just a nice to have (personally for me the nice to have is a big deal since otherwise a starter is practically useless) but it is also tissue paper with 1 shield and sad weapons in comparison to is peers so it not making it to A tier yet makes sense to me. This is the kind of list for those that their starter will be the main or only ship so the most loops it can partake in the better.
@23:49 you *could* buy it as a starter pack, back around 2020/2021. However the ship has no end of infuriating glitches, it used to frequently spawn on a landing pad in its deployed state, so it would clip through the ground and couldn't be flown, there were no workarounds for a long time but luck. Even now there are still issues with it, broken interior textures, and in soft-death the player can become super-trapped in it, the Reliant will not un-fold in soft-death and the pilot cannot Backspace, or self-destruct the soft-death ship, you have to relog or hope you get hard-death. Ultimately it's a very fun little ship and I daily drive it a lot, has decent firepower but it lacks the ability to threaten the other fighters in the meta so it gets thrashed a lot, even against eg. an Avenger. I wish they'd get around to reworking the Reliant because AFAIK it still uses the obsolete metrics CIG intended to replace, and did with other ships that got reworked like.. the Avenger. And the Cutlass and others. The Reliant is too small to support NPCs. My thinking/hope is they rework it as a true medium skirmisher ship, it's too ungainly to be a 'small' fighter and won't fit in many ship hangars so it has to be able to self-support itself better with better stats and range.
I am a Titan owner, and in all honesty, it's stupidly overpowered. There is no competition for the best starter unless you lean heavily towards cargo, then obviously, nomad is better but noticeably more expensive. The Titan needs a nerf - then starters rank would look much more interesting than 'Titan and then the rest of the starters'.
I don't mind making rules up, i mind arbitrarilly breaking them. 1- the pieces and reliant are not single seaters, one has a gunner and the other multiple additional jump seats or a variant with a medic station AND additional jump seat, and you could argue the Intrepid may not be either with its engineering station 2- if you are going to make exceptions for the 300i and Reliant based on limited time, anual event, or past sales, and are including dedicated fighters like the Arrow, why not include the Talon which has its Alien week pack, or the Hawk which for your criteria and have an invictus pack, or even the Hull A and others that often appear with annual events like the Reliant? Ultimately you are making your list, so your choices are king, but for some personal feedback, arbitrary changes made without taking the work to follow up on the excuse for arbitration to make sure other options exist makes your reasoning seem meaningless or hollow. Also entirely disagree with the arbitrary derision to cut out "multi seat ships" in the first place. Additional seats and opportunities for cooperative play are EXTREMELY valuable points to consider in a game package. So valuable MANY chose those multicrew packages specifically for that feature. So it feels bad you entirely discount what feels like such a significant reason for choosing a gametogenesis in the first place. Lastly, if you are including variants anyways because of CCU options, there is NO reason to limit this list to game package options at all. Cut the pretense, define the list by a price point instead of a "seat" limit, and open up the list. Or renarrow the list to only game packages available year round. Or at least include all possible game packages annually avaliable. Hope to see an updated version of the video in the future, or maybe an additionsl video just adding on more options if you fund this feedback valid. Keep up the good work. I'll be kind and keep my disagreements to this constructive feedback, so i can comment on any possible follow up vid with my disagreements of your actual ratings XD
Mustang was my first ship ever, now I have an Intrepid as a starter, just love that little ship. You can do everything (Wish they finally showed box missions in contacts again) and with a S4 Atrittion you can do bountys pretty easy ^^
Pisces and cutter in A tier. Cutter rambler has a metric fuckton of quantum fuel for its size and can fit a STV. C8X pisces is kinda quick and has a lot of quantum fuel for what it is too. C8R is a respawn ship immediately making it good. You underrated them hard.
Its high price and very specific, but i would rank Prospector and Vulture as professional starters, after you learn mining and salvage and want to dive into it, you can earn quick cash on any wipe and will be a strong income when the game finally releases, you can also run bunkers, basic starting combat missions, the vulture you can also scrape the bounties after. Another strong competitor as a Starter i would rank the Cutlass Black and Spirit C1, you kinda want 2 players to make full use of it, but you cant go wrong with either, will serve you well in combat against AI, you can do many contracts for hauling, ferry a ROC miner around, stash a lot of found loot in bounties. But.... in the end.... all you need from real money is an AURORA ou Mustang, you can earn quite fast to pick a Cutlass ingame at 2.1mil aUEC. Knowing all i know today and the way CIG is doing things, i would have sticked with just a basic pack with an Aurora MR.
The Reliant Kore used to be a standard starter pack but they fit rid of it due to issues with logging out in the different variants due to loading back in flight mode and being locked out of the pilots cabin. I did not know it came back intermittently though.
Nomad is the clear winner for me here. 24 SCU is a game changer compared to all the other ships here. That flat bed can hold a ROC or bunker busting taxi like an STV or Pulse. Great for stripping up to S4 weapons off ships and completing behind the basic hailing missions. This is the one ship in that list imo that gives you more access to starter game loops than any of the others . I’d have put Titan and Nomad in A tier as there are no S tier ships. Well thought out list 👍 Oh, glad you included the 300!series and the Reliant series. I would’ve too 💪
Agreed, one of the reasons I rank the Nomad lower is the price tag, at the given price you might want to look at the Cutty and possibly LTI. But other than that it's definitely one of the best starters out there
I got a Cutter as my starter pack and deeply regretted it back on 3.21 I believe. It was a giant brick with no maneuverability. I quickly replaced it with a glorious 300i which I love! Until 4.0 wiped inventories lol now I'm using the brick again and I'm pleasantly surprised. I don't know if they changed the values on it but it feels super nice to fly, it has a ton of storage, the mini weapon rack is nice, I can bed log with it, you can enter without climbing a ladder (!!). Plus with the white Luminalia paint, I think it looks pretty neat. Cutter is good and solid; I recommend 👍
A bit of misinformation here. Mustang Alpha has 2x S1 weapon hardpoints under its wings. Its better as a combat ship than the Aurora and only losing to the bed. Pisces having a medical variant makes it anazing for that alone. Cutter should be higher for the fact that its cargo bay is massive able to carry ground vehicles and has full interior amenities. Only losing in combat/flight. Id want to put intrepid in C tier for the price alone, but im biased against it.
Wait the rocket pods on the mustang delta can be changed again? Thought they got rid of that with the rework. Edit: the delta used to be so much better when you could change to pods. i cleared the original vanduul swam with that version of the delta.
Mustang alpha and beta have nose turret with dual size 2 hardpoints and 2 size 1 hatdpoints on the wings so the aurora is not better armed only counting the hardpoints. The delta has 4 size 2 hardpoints plus the dump fire rocket pods
Don’t care about starters…just here for the cat 🐱
Understandable 😅
@@stefanfischer9747 i like the cat very much

Yo dr evil! Most epic video format ever!

I am very happy with my Avenger Titan Starter Pack picked it up for $75 a couple years ago.
The Anvil Hawk also had an EMP generator! A nice competitor to the Stalker for solo bounty hunting
Haven’t flown that in forever. Made for great shots though

You can put 2XS1 guns on the Mustang Alpha wings...

I think they did some tuning to it when the new variants came out. But agreed. Good storage, flies well and has a weapon rack
Lol, my starter package is the Andromeda. Bought it back in 2015. Great daily driver.
Worst option: Cutter Rambler
Best Option: Cutter Rambler

I have 5k worth of ships and still fly my cutter rambler as a pyro ship.
Nomad is a great starter. Probably 2nd only to the Titan.

can we get a ship toilet tierlist to see which ship got the best toile
Can you maybe do a tierlist for the "Starter Upgrade Ships" something as in the range of 100-250$, Cutlass... Freelancer for example? :)
Added to my list!
Cat!
only the nomad should be in S tier
