It's been really slow lately. The summer slump usually ends by now. Orders are down, it has little to do with saturation. There just aren't enough good orders to go around. I'm not even seeing all the bad orders I normally see. Hopefully it picks back up soon. People are feeling this economic downturn, they are spending less on luxuries like food delivery.

You said to comment regarding waiting on the stickers for orders... I try not to complain about someone learning to do their job, especially when in training. Let them do their thing. Those few extra seconds will still be there. I have to remind myself of this when dashing.

13:39 yeah, but since they overflooded the ''cemetary gates'' (pantera) with new dashers, yeah explains why weekdays are doin good, and like you said with kids goin back to college etc... I just got on spark and love it!!! I mean I will let my 12hr blocks go on DD because I dont care anymore and will see the dash now get lit up again for 2.50 plus peak pay etc... But Im sure that will change as we are all expendable in the end!!!! We are just batteries for the stock market!!!

Usually with a shop and pay order on Uber eats if the replacement is more than what’s allowed, you could just put the amount that is telling you you can still scan the items even though it’s more and the payment will still go through

Kids in Virginia started school on the 7th

The reason people don't tip is they are accustomed to receiving several deliveries a week from Amazon Prime with "free" delivery and no tip expected. You're expecting them to understand the difference between that and gig delivery, but many don't.

I also dashed this same Saturday in the Wantagh zone and it was terrible. One of the worst Saturdays I’ve ever experienced. A lot of high mileage trash and low ball offers. I declined way more than usual. 2:30-9pm I made $120. I hope next time is better

And Jennifer has a really skittish dog that gets scared when doorbells go off so they ask you not to use it (my silly guess lol). Not surprised there's no tip on that silly order at Dollar General - had to have been kids. Not sure if this affects things for Saturdays but for me when I get paid Friday I end up doing food shopping Fri/Sat so I don't ever order DoorDash on a Saturday because I just got my food shopping and have food to eat ;)

I always prefer getting my stuff at dollar general especially on Saturdays when they have their $5 off of $25 digital coupon on their app. I stock up on their $1 cleaners and other $1 items. Like if you need bleach to clean your house it would be $3-$4 dollars for a small bottle at other stores but you can get a big bottle of their brand for a $1.

Mary and Lou, why not just lay the seats flat and take a nap? When i was in my cargo van for different type freight but irrelevant i would un fold my army cot and cot the best sleep! Sometimes it was 1 minute (industrial etc like Toyota automotive factory) and sometimes 30 minutes. Then when i went home to get my reg. sleep routine i would have the gift off only having to Add the nap and say ok i already got that 1 hr nap so now i only need 6 hrs late tonite. It worked perfect for me for 8 years.

Yeah, drivers are oversaturated in my market too, which has become exhausing as the algrothm tests us on lowball offers. Will u shop for 34 items for 18 dollars drivng 9 miles LOL, crap like that. Its testing the desperation of drivers.

I started doing rides also seems like the food apps have slowed way down in bay area. I sadly don't make enough if not willing do rideshare also now. I am online close 40 hours a wk and saw one crap IC order all wk. I am so glad rideshare busy in my area in bay were I wouldn't have extra money. My husband is main breed winner but I make typical 800 to 1100 Mon- friday a wk and helps with extra things. I have friends that hate doing rideshare but forced do it some also if want make enough money for the day.

It’s been very slow recently. I make a few bucks on it during the week nights. The best time during the weekend is late night 11pm-1am. Or all day Sunday.
