I had some personal things going on Father's Day morning so I didn't get started until the dinner shift. I ended up waiting at a restaurant for 30 mins for a single dinner and the guy tipped me an extra $45. I took the money and ended my shift 😂
In our area of California the people with more money tip less. It’s the regular people that tip good.I noticed doordash orders are sent to us before the orders reach restaurants. The orders are delayed most of the time. I talk to workers at restaurants and sometimes they haven’t received orders yet that I’m asking for. Uber is usually ready unless it’s 7-11 or McDonald’s.
I love your channel. Thanks for sharing. Great to see more Shipt shopping. I love doing Shipt because you can schedule your time and orders. You can see exactly where you are delivering to before you accept the offer. You guys are good enough you will get preferred members and they usually tip well. It's nice to know what the customer likes and where they live. Most of my orders are now preferred members. Once in awhile Shipt will do incentives and give you a bonus for completing a certain amount of orders. Today, it's an extra $15 for 3 orders here in Phoenix AZ. Always love your videos!
On Father’s Day I did my biggest order yet and that was Uber eats. I delivered 10 boxes of crispy cream donuts to a church or youth center. This was around 10 in the morning. This was only there second order. I can only imagine what the first order was. My tip got increased too.!!
In DD it’s so easy to cancel orders and not be penalized. Just wait 10 minutes and sometimes less. I’m amazed how many drivers don’t care on their completion rate and walk out before the allowed time.
15:27 they pay alittle bit more but now it’s hard to just sign on when you want 😢, you have to be scheduled on all apps and it’s impossible to toggle or have slots on grub hub. And not to mention tips, customer don’t even bother tipping.
The Oreo sour patch kids are actually really good! You don’t really taste the sour until you get to the cream part, but even then, it’s not that bad! You should definitely give it a try! 😊
I agree with the 10-minute rule mostly. But I'm always thinking that "it's going to come out right after I cancel". I usually only reassign when there is extreme dysfunction at the restaurant. If it's just busy, then I may wait if the pay is ok. It's opportunity cost. You are leaving an order that's imminent for having to get another one, drive to the new location and maybe wait there.
I love watching you two. I am a retired NYC LEO, and you two inspired me to sign up for gig work. Unfortunately, there is a waiting list in my area for Insta Cart, and Amazon flex. I'm going to try and sign up for Shipt. However, after adding the ride share/ commercial coverage, along with my new licensed teen($$$) to my car insurance, has me wondering if this is really worth doing.
Surprising My Area Is Very Busy With Order Voliume Even With My Low Acceptance Rate I See Dash Now Also I got to kinda see the system on a local merchants end the latest update it seems it wont assign a dasher until the store selects order ready But seems here for you the shops are pre assigining a dasher
I did my first Dash last night in North Carolina. I made the mistake of agreeing to a promo that would give me an extra $2.00, on each order. I canceled the promo because I thought the area was to far away from my location. Then unfortunately through out the night, I realized Door Dash brought me into the same exact area. I lost out on $16. I made $98.00 in 5 hrs. But was a little disgusted seeing the Door Dash base was $2.00😢.
The ride the lightning metallica T shirt LMAO,,,,,,, Ohh man is that old schoool which leads him to being a legend n space n time!!!!! If he makes eggs in 2minutes my questions is are they over easy and does he have a gas oven vs electric!!!! I want bacon n eggs over easy!!!!!!!!!!!! Because this is what powers me to do Grubhub, Doordash, Uber Eats and Deliver That to make my cha ching!!!!! I am outraged because I have 4 cats to feed and a mortgage!!! I wanna know how on earth do these couples pull it off!!!!!!
A couple of episodes back you had a great discussion of middle class life and paying off credit card bills as a reason to work the gig apps. Every shift I see you guys stopping at 7-11 for coffee and snacks. Why not buy a big box of snacks at Costco/B.J.’s and make your coffee at home to save all the $$ you are spending at 7-11? Snacks these days at convenience stores are outrageous. Your money, but just my thoughts.
Commenting to see my new member emoji lol 😊. I don’t comment a lot but I always enjoy riding along with you guys. You two crack me up 😂.
Awesome!! Thank you so much for the membership! We will give you a shout out in our next video:)
happy belated father's day lou! also, good job on surpassing the goal!
If a restaurant is busy all the time they need to have two kitchens one for delivery and one for walk-in customers

Nice!!!
I didn’t start dashing until October and I rarely cancel
I just cancelled when Hyvee Liquor store was closed on Thanksgiving
I gotta say I love hearing Lou talk because he reminds me of me when I do Uber or DD. We do so much more than just deliver food. Tips always suck
Happy belated Fathers Day. Enjoyed the video
Thank you!!
Lol@telling that Spanish lady "i gotta wait one more min"😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Wow I hope those large homes tipped you well! There’s never a reason not too when you own a home that size.
Lou did you really need to ask Mary where the diapers would be 🤣
Lol

Great video. DD doesn't show us order amounts when we cancel on a double any longer.
That is definitely not good, but I guess i can see why
Father’s Day for me was very slow
34:14 i hate it when my car runs out of blinker fluid
Lol

$98 still good for your first night
@@TheLongIslandDashExperience Thank you.
Don’t cancel a Shipt order ! It counts against your reliability.
Also the key to Shipt is communication. Keep in touch with the members, they appreciate it and will make you a preferred shopper and tip better.
And it takes forever for that percentage to go up.

"I do all the apps. They're all terrible" 😂
I usually just walk out when they take too long with the order 😂. You dont have to explain yourself
Father’s Day was crickets where I am
Ride the lightning ⚡️ 🔥🔥
🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
It's mayhem!
lol I’ll fix that
Don’t cancel your shipt orders or you’ll be deactivated if you get a to a certain percentage and also they’ll give you a warning.

That’s why you budget.. leaving things like that in the budget.. plus people love morning coffee and we enjoy the break as well.
No more bagel shops!! F dat waiting !!
Mary is a very PRETTY woman 😍. 😊
I have a ? ,who owns Door dash?
No one person owns them but Tony Xu was the founder
I think that order is going to be canceled
