@@VideoTasties I can see that. Films were in the charts a lot longer than they are today, but they could still underperform ; Zanadu had much more success as a soundtrack album, than as a film.
Cheech & Chong's Next Movie was the film I could stomach the most out of the long running escapades of the comic twosome. The film delivers some solid bursts of humour which isn't for everyone who views a film like this. There's also a semi-loose narrative that actually partly benefits the comedy. Plus the film was their highest grossing movie back then. Just don't mention Born in East L.A. I first saw the trailer for Born in East L.A. via the CIC video release of Jaws: The Revenge with Simon Bates narrating the CIC video promo for forthcoming titles in 1987.
I saw Cheech and Chong’s Next Movie and Caddyshack at the drive in as a double feature, I saw every other one theatrically as well except Brubaker, (good film), and Xanadu, (bad film)😂
'The Empire Strikes Back' - My favourite film of all time!👍'The Blues Brothers' is a classic too.
Also some great films I had forgotten about
Pretty good year for movies 👍 Great channel..
Thanks 👍
i liked superman 2 and the final countdown
Where did you get this Top 10 from, Gareth? Xanadu was a massive bomb on release.
BoxOfficeMOJO it's based on 3 months of summer maybe it's when Xanadu peaked for a bit

Terminator was more of a video/cable hit. It did decent box office but more people responded to it after its theatrical run.
It came out in October and this list was compiled May to September
