    What guage wire is the red one? I have the exact same issue. Thank you.

    • @appliance63
      @appliance63 5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      The red wire is most likely a 16 or 14 gauge wire. The wire should always be the same or thicker to be safe. A 14 gauge wire would be better than a 16.

    • @nothingblooms24
      @nothingblooms24 5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @appliance63 thank you I appreciate that. Very helpful! If the wire happens to be 16awg and I purchase 14 awg to splice it (might be too short before I reach usable copper due to it being burned) would that be an issue, or just get both a 14 and a 16 to be safe?

    • @appliance63

      Cut all burnt wire replaced the whole wire if you have to and use number 14 gauge wire

    Hey there!!! I used your instructions in Sept 2024 to clear this error. Happened again this afternoon ( Jan 20,2025 ). We bought this washer 3 years ago and in that time have replaced the pressure switch and the motherboard 3x due to this exact error. A friend sent me your video and you have saved us 2 repair visits ( at least $150 a visit ) and all the times they came out - they never once checked that bladder in the back. Please post more videos. There are a lot of repairmen that are out there repairing parts that are totally good just because they don’t know where to check and clean. THANK YOU!!!

    Very useful video. My only improvement is that instead of that special tool to extend the spring, I used a pair of sturdy scissors that I could open enough to make the ring fit. By the way, suggestions about going at it from underneath are very questionable, as this is very heavy and one does not want to work under it - it's pretty dangerous. Thanks!

    Very well done tutorial. Servicing my LG washer now to stop an ongoing leak. Just ordered the spring pliers. Getting the gasket ring back on has proven to the the trickiest step. Thanks for doing this video. UPDATE- Repair now complete. I changed bellows hose and drain pump, and it still leaked. Turned up to be the drain hose that comes out the front. The hose was damaged underneath the drain pump so it was hidden. I would suggest checking this first if you have a persistent leak from the left front of the washer. I used windshield washer hose from a local auto parts since the lead time for the exact replacement hose was out there. I would suggest putting screws into plastic storage organizer pr perhaps an egg carton to keep them separate and in sequence. A lot of them look alike. This is a very well done video and helped enormously. Thanks again for a very professional guide for this repair.

    I have a problem similar to this. My burners went out, but in a weird way, bit by bit. The large one on the left side went out first, and now, 5 months later, the one on the right side has started to go out. It can activate and work, but you have to turn it on and off to get it to work. I think I will replace the relays or check under a microscope to see if the contacts are messed up. What do you guys think? Black Friday is here, and I can spend about $600 if needed.

    Could you give the ideal ranges for the thermostat and thermal fuse in ohms via multimeter? Great video! Ours stopped heating last night after 10 + years

    • @appliance63
      @appliance63 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      As in the video. If the dryer is not heating most likely, it will be thermal fuse, or the heater. The thermal fuse and thermostat should be no more than 2 ohms . If it reads OL it needs to be replaced.. If the thermal fuse is open. You wanna make sure the dryer venting has no restriction.

    • @appliance63
      @appliance63 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      As in the video. The thermal fuse and thermostat should be approximately 2 ohms if good. Depending how good your ohms meter is it could be 10 ohms and still be good. If it reads OL they will need to be replaced. if your thermal fuse is open. The culprit is most likely an airflow restriction on your dryer vent.

    Is 3/9 correct for all LG models? I've got a similar head on my lmxs30796s and it looks like it's at 3/9 but I can't get the filter in.

    • @appliance63
      @appliance63 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      3/9 is what I’m accustomed to seeing when the filter goes nicely into the filter head. You can attempt to try to turn the inner piece on the filter head gently. And see if it don’t go in at a different position rather than 3/9. A word of caution that some of the inner pieces on the filter had turned easier than others, it could break.
