Design and Chill - Rapid Prototyping with CNC - VNM Handbrake Mount
มุมมอง 77710 หลายเดือนก่อน
Join me through the design and fitting of a rapid prototype mount for my VNM Handbrake using my 100w CNC Laser. Sometimes you just cant beat the speed of a CNC Laser.. From start to finish it took 35 minutes with the longest part being 20 minutes for paint to dry. So unpainted would be 15 minutes to design, cut and mount. The CNC took 10 minutes cutting from 9mm MDF. I ended up making some smal...

Just a cruise we did a while back in my other money pit! I've owned her for 14 years and not a single regret along the way. Forged SR20DET 3076R Turbo 413 rwhp @22psi Haven't spent much time on the rig lately because I've been rebuilding the rear subframe and suspension, hopefully get her back on the road soon because I miss driving her. :)

Here's my first real flight with the new Albabird setup. - Stock setup - O3 Air unit - INav 6.0 - Runcam Thumb 4k - Motionsic BAG pan/tilt I've noticed one of the bolts holding the camera in is a tad short and isnt holding the fpv camera firm so the vibrations seem to be getting amplified because of this.. hopefully a teflon washer or something should help. Other than that everything seems grea...
AR Wing Pro FPV - Maiden and crashes, lots of crashes
มุมมอง 253ปีที่แล้ว
After a painful week of crashes and glueing i finally got this beast in the air! It almost defeated me. But silly errors like my bad throws and not having the CG correct contributed. Finally got to test her out today in moderate winds. All came back in one piece at least :)
Skyhunter FPV - Maiden Flight & Systems Test

Here's something a little different.. anyone else fly RC fixed wings? 6 Years ago i started building this, I got 90% done and lost interest while waiting for a few parts to arrive. After cleaning out my hobbie room the other day I thought I should really finish it off and at least fly the bloody thing. I ended up ditching the Arkbird Autopilot 2.0 and installed a Matek F405 WTE Flight controlle...

Please excuse the driving, it's been soooo long since I've fired Dirt up. I'm glad I did because now I remember why I love it so much! Here is the updated actuators in action. The difference is outstanding!! OMFG! Enjoy. Testing out ZEN's profile, although I did some tweaking but boy it rattles your soul! :D Monitors seems to hold up great too so that's a massive plus! here's just a quick overview of what I'm changing at the moment. I also forgot to mention that because these new bearings are the same dimensions as their metal ball bearing cou ter part.. if these still squeak then I can just easily swap them out for the metal ball version. worst case scenario. Nice work.. How much the rig cost? .. Only motion parts.. Not wheel or wheel base or monitor
Hi, amazing work thank you, are ur actuators could be build with AASD 20A or 30A (more power i mean) ?
hello, do you use simtool for the tensioner? or flypt? because I would like to make it work with simtools but I don't know if it's possible. THANKS
I have no idea why my monitors stopped working, they are only a few months old.😂 The monitors...
Damn.. that noise
stl files?
At the xsimulator.net link
@@peacemakermotion3949 I searched all over the forum but found only the old STLs. (cone version).
Where do I find the STL? (this update)
Share assetto corsa graphics settings plz
Hi, i just built 6dof and im thinking about ordering 6 of 110v 1000w servo motors with 30amp white controllers. Do you think 30amp white controller is ok in united state?
I like your description. How you need the height of the seat so you can have the proper center of gravity in your chest. Thanks for convincing me. This is gonna cost even more money😂
Tell me the software isn't the difficult part. That's what scares me. Not the welding and fabrication. The game has motion and somehow that gets converted to tell whatever number of motors you have to move in. Whatever certain way to simulate that motion, that's what I need to understand better to get over the fear.
awesome setup you have, I dream of having a full motion sim one day can I ask why you moved from the thanos DD board?
What's the code tha you used to make the motor work ?
Works with stepmotor ? Nema 17, 23?
😆😆😆 I was waiting to see you get ejected through the ceiling! Nice rig!
U should make and sell these for others we would defo buy giving how much other options are
Nice vidéo. Does Any solutions to contrôle this actuator with arduino ?
The old actuators were controlled by arduino but they are so inferior in every way because you need limit switches and potentiometers and stuff. The new servo motors have encoders built in and safety features like over torque cut outs etc. Unfortunately nothing arduino based yet to control such devices.
Really quite silent, very impressive!
Haha yeah. When the creaking of the frame is louder you know you're onto a good thing haha
More interested in the software aspect, and how to not potentially turn my asshole inside out and upside down ❤
Hey mate, lovw your vids! any chance of a new dori video with how the rig is now? Do you think building a full 6dof rig id worth it for just drifting
plz add a set up video for inav and the 405wte elrs set up with the radio and channels etc
Just checking this out in early 2024.. and the last update on the github was like 3 to 4 years ago. Is Thanos no longer around or an option? Or they have a new product that replaces this controller?
What size is the rose joint
Nice vid mate, blows my mind the 3D printed part with the rod end that attaches to the frame is strong enough, how is this possible? The fact that the load is shared across 6 of them maybe?
what are the settings on those red pins on the controller ? DIP and on switches I believe it says on it. Thanks
Should be all in thanos manual. But they do certain things like stop displaying live actuator position to free up controller memory etc etc
Do you have the dimensions for your cockpit and do you know the perfent infill you used for the 3d printed parts
Hey mate. Yeah they should be about 3 pages in on the xsimulator forum build. I fill I'm pretty sure I did about 50% with solid layer every 15 or so.
What pan/tilt are you using for the FPV camera? I struggle to get a servo or pan/tilt to go more than 180' without going full rotation.
Nice channel you got here going. Wonder how much have you spend on your rig so far or how much would it cost to build at its current state? Thanks
Does anyone know if the MMos Firmware supports F1 23? I can't find this information anywhere.
Haven't use mmos in a while but I don't think there'll be any issues with it. But don't quote me on that. Haha.
@@peacemakermotion3949 hahaha understood. Thank you so much.
0:33 - pls. whats is the game?
Wreckfest on steam
Hey just wondering if you have had any problems with your mige direct drive wheel since building it im thinking of going the DIY route but unsure if it is reliable thanks
Does Flypt software works with Elite Dangerous or Star War Squadron? Website said its not gurantee
It does but you need to know the latest memory hooks. A guy on xsimulator posts the hooks for elite dangerous every update (as they change every update) but yeah not sure if anyone is keeping the squadron ones up to date anywhere..
ok so where do you buy the actuators from?
😕 promo sm
Beautiful!
Really cool setup! I couldnt help but notice the qr codes at the wall, is it for use in VR? I hade the idea of creating sort of "Anchor points" for the tracking on the quest headsets for it to be able to remember its position better so i dont need to fiddle with recentering every time i play. Is this what you use them for?
Hey mate. Cheers. Yeah they help because the one downside of inside our tracking is it picks up the monitors alot and thinks your stationary. Mainly for use with motion compensation. I find just using 3 axis on the HMD has good results too as it just uses the gyro and not cameras
Ahhh i see, thanks!@@peacemakermotion3949
are you able to use it with the PLAYSTATION i wonder
i don't think that consoles will allow any dodgy wheel/gamepad to be connected. You would probably need a bypass for it like in fps games for consoles.
Hello, please, is it better to use 130ST - M10010 or 130ST - M10015 motor? + AASD - 30A AC servo driver. Or does it not matter? Thanks Mirek
Did you find an anwser to this question?
Do you get any cogging or judders with this type of actuators?
Man I want to build your entire RIG, just don't have the space or funds 😢 wonder how this compares to Wills $100,000 Rig
awesome👌 what motor prop combo you using
Is that only for Direct drive wheel?
this chair is worth more than most cars in perth
Haha it certainly is!
😢 estou tentando montar uma porém não tenho muito dinheiro! Você me ajudar ? Indicando um motor que possa ser mais barato ?
Wowwwww 😮 omg I wish I knew how to make something like that. Dream fuel! Excellent job!
what do you think about creating a direct drive force feedback wheel using a closed loop nema23 stepper motor?
Hey @Peacemaker Motion, i'm a mechanical engineer student and this project seems complete in all senses. I'm also DIYing A set of pedals and a steering wheel. I've considered also fabricating a DIY seq. shifter. All of this DIY will be added to my 2dof self made motion cockpit. The biggest knowledge lack i experience right now is the PCB configurations and connections, for example the shifter and pedals do not have the same amount of connecting pins as the logitech nor does the shifter. Also, is it possible to change the Motor encoder for a SinCos encoder? Appreciate this video so much, hella value. Keep it up mate!
I'm not Peacemaker but chiming in to say you might want to check out the "Open FFBoard" project that's had a lot of updates since the above video was published-- the guy who develops most of it has the TH-cam channel Gigawipf with really excellent videos about all aspects of these DIY builds. I think there are a lot of options for connecting different kinds of peripherals to the PCB there. Sounds like an awesome project though, I'm planning to get started on my own build soon and Open FFBoard seems really solid.
no it was a resistor
Hi this is a great video thank you. What is the overall dimensions for the entire rig I’m wondering if I’ve got enough space to build
Hi Chris, something to be careful of is using Loctite with plastics, it can and does cause cracking in the plastic parts where stress is applied. You probably need to make sure the loctite is confined to the tube thread and does not overflow on to the plastic housing. Love the build cheers Les
