@Ratzilla_91 I have a separate video explaining the crying, but basically in Japan they hold a belief that the louder a baby cries represents how strong an adult they will grow up to be (willpower) and essentially Goku's cries meant that Broly's greater strength couldn't intimidate him, think how the legendary super saiyan transformation caused an adult Vegeta to lose the will to fight, in essence Broly despised that Goku wouldn't cower before him. @user-hk5ro7ls3y I'm just going to be upfront and say I'm glad Super ended, it was an absolute travesty that only existed to corrupt, the only thing that was half way decent about it was Super Broly and he was less interesting ripoff of Majin Buu. And yes I personally consider the Buu Saga far and away the best part of Dragon Ball.

He used strategy to defeat Yakon, him passing down the fusion dance depicts him as a teacher, him learning said technique in other world from aliens shows him as worldly. Again yes this is him at his best. Goku acknowledged and realized the issues of Super Saiyan 3, unlike future Trunks with Grade 3, which by the way you mislabeled as Grade 2. Besides he openly stated he intended to let the living fight/finish Buu off instead. Likewise though Grade 3 expended energy at a faster rate, it more so backfired in the sense of hindering movement. In addition to that every major character had their best moment in the Buu Saga. Vegeta-Final Atonement, Piccolo telling Vegeta he won't receive a good afterlife. Ultimate Gohan confronting Super Buu. Adding Old Supreme Kai to the cast replaced the greatest loss endured from the transition of Dragon Ball to the Z era, which involved fulfilling the role that Roshi formerly played after getting relegated to comedic relief. I have other videos discussing my thoughts on the inclusion of God energy, I initially expressed concern over it surpassing Buu, but as Gods could feasibly possess greater strength than a demon, I said I would give it a chance. And in the end I thought it was terrible and yielded a bad product.

Plenty of villains in Z had an actual Backstory even most of Movie villains themselves has one idk where this argument came from but its completely false, Buu himself has a Backstory explained by Supreme Kai that Buu was created by Bibidi, Z Broly has a Backstory with Paragus Storytelling in the 1st Broly movie showing visual Flashbacks of Paragus trying to restrain Broly's power with the mind control Device and then later on in the film Paragus explains to Vegeta how his father Caused Broly to be executed, Stabbed in the stomach as an infant and thrown away like trash until Frieza blowed up the planet with Baby Broly using his power from all the trauma to protect him and Paragus from the Planetary explosion, Keep in mind they showed us with a flashback once again how all of it happened, How exactly is any of this "When Dragon Ball had no story" According to you? smh things like this is why i have a hard time taking any of you Modern DBS fans seriously and the fact you brought up the whole "Getting mad at Goku crying" again goes to show that as usual you new fans take that scene out of context and try using it as a way to bash Broly while ignoring the events that happened during the Backstory. Truth is the franchise should of ended at GT because that was the TRUE conclusion and continuation to Z. If Broly was mad or upset that baby Goku wouldn’t stop crying to submit to Broly then it doesn’t even equate to the specifics of the tradition. And, again, even if it was based on that ritual, that doesn’t make it any less stupid. Why does Broly specifically remember Goku from that moment when they couldn’t even sense energy at that point? Why is it just the sight of Goku that sets Broly off then? Wouldn’t it make more sense to have him be set off by, let’s say, Baby Trunks’ cry instead? So no, it’s not perfectly within reason, and if it was, so what? It’s still a terrible backstory. Doesn’t matter if it’s based off of a tradition or not.

@Rose_Bride I'm happy you enjoyed my videos and that I could help you better articulate your dissatisfactions with the series. From what you might already gather I agree with all your positions. With the writers I can see them being fans, even knowledgeable ones at that, but that doesn't automatically mean they comprehend why they enjoyed it. With inverting the genders of characters to differ from the past roles unintentionally makes it all the more obvious of this being a knockoff rather than its own independent story. I hope you enjoy what videos of mine you may watch next.

I'm currently typing up scripts (one over 70 pages) with the intention of seeing if I can use a program to clone my voice and have it narrate on my behalf.

@harrisoncora4259 I wrote this video several years back, so I could be misremembering, but I think the context was rage acting as a convenient get out of jail free card to match Zamasu/Black's strength, whereas at the time Super Saiyan rubbed off as a transcendent divine state (not just a power-up). Even consider that Goku didn't let rage consume him against Frieza. Super Saiyan emerges from desperation and being pushed to the limit: Kaioken/Spirit bmb failed and the presumed loss of Dragon Balls; Krillin's death merely served as the straw that broke the camel's back.

@projectmessiah Thanks, this video wasn't intended to hate on the present, but more so to depict how the past shaped the present, I admit, maybe even slightly encourage the newer generations to give the classics a chance. With that said I more often than not find that I prefer older series to newer ones, and yeah I definitely feel the influence has become more noticeable as of late, I think it stems from how the newer writers are more inspired by anime/manga, while the old guard more so originated from other types of media.

@IsiahAllison The DBZ community is rife with flanderizations, that have become gospel to the masses. Vegeta's book smarts intentionally mislead people into thinking he is bright, when he is actually blind to the truth, while Goku's uneducated country background trick people into thinking he is dumb, when he can actually understand the greater picture. So, basically I'm saying TV Tropes couldn't see past the surface layer of the series.

Besides that I have video evidence of me calling One Piece mid tier in comparison to DBZ, video citation "Anime vs Manga Why I Prefer Anime over Manga", 16:55 - 17:08. Them both being antagonists due to circumstance, as well as similar backgrounds sending them down identical paths warrant a comparison. The most I'll concede would be how I've heavily criticized Dragon Ball Super, but that's because I view it as an insult to the original material.

I've articulated on this subject before, but with the DBZ fandom I think a lot of them haven't seen the original Broly movie in 10+ years, and don't remember all of his best aspects, which has made many of them more susceptible to the influence of others, and I believe that heavily contributed to the more negative view of DBZ Broly. I know Lucci lost against G5 Luffy and Zoro (manga), but I don't really pay attention to the One Piece community, so what's going on with that?
