    Great job once again, Sarah. I have been making some very simple, organic soap dishes. The feet have consistency been falling off of them! (RUDE!) I usually don't put coils to secure anything I attach, so it never occurred to me to do it. I am sure that securing coils will solve my problem. Such a small part of your wonderful tutorial gave me a huge takeaway! It's time to go straighten up my studio so I can wreck it again with more soap dish projects. Thank you, Sarah, you consistently make me a better potter! Geoffrey

    enjoying watching both parts of this goose jug, just love the shape and the glaze is stunning , it makes almost metallic. I'm having kittens watching the 'lumpy' pot on legs, it looks so close to the edge. I wanted to ask how you stabilised the legs in the making process as they are quite elegant, if that's the right word. did you support them/ the pot upside down in the bisc stage?? and will you be making a video on that pot as well. thank you for sharing,

    • @thepotterycorner
      @thepotterycorner  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Denise. Do you mean the Wonky pot?? If so there's a playlist of this make on my channel already. I fire upside down when biscuit firing 🔥. There's also a template in my Etsy shop for the Wonky pot 😊

    • @denisenoble4010
      @denisenoble4010 ปีที่แล้ว

      @The Pottery Corner no, its the round pot with what looks like lumps all over the surface, its an oxide pattern, I've just rewatched the intro of the goose jug build, the 2nd pot you showed after your inspirational visit to the British museum . Its the legs, so many questions to ask, but in one word How, did you dry it and keep the legs straight? Did you support it? upside down or right way up. Its a fab pot, thanks

    • @thepotterycorner
      @thepotterycorner  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Denise Noble -oh I know which one and yes was biscuit and glaze fired upside down. I put the piece on a support when I attached the legs for the making and the drying. Guess I could do a tutorial on that! 😁

    Das Krug- Objekt gefällt mir sehr gut, liebe Töpferin. Wieviel Schamotte enthält der Ton? Sie haben schöne Nachbildungen hergestellt nach dem Original des Museums. Es ist sehr interessant, wie andere Töpfer arbeiten, es gibt ommer etwas zu lernen. Danke fürs Teilen! Respekt und liebe Grüße von Rosemarie.

    I wonder if humans have a genetic need to create art? It certainly seems that urge is inborn. The design of some of those pieces from the British Museum look contemporary to now. They may not have had the diversity of clays and glazes or the science available to them 5000 years ago but that didn’t prevent them from adding lovely, arty patterns to what were probably pots used daily.

    • @thepotterycorner
      @thepotterycorner  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Absolutely right. Amazing to see the marks and patterns in pots that are so old. Clay really is incredible! Thanks so much for watching. Hope you enjoyed it 😊
