First time seeing any of your videos. I really liked the edit notes. And I appreciated that you posted a video of a losing match. I think a lot of people hesitant to do that. Thanks.

In round 7 I don't so much think it was the missiles that were a mistake as that you only placed the card units and a scorpion. A unit of crawlers or fangs may well not have tipped that battle in your favor, but your left side frontline had a conspicuous open space for them and they'd have caught the first volley from the stormcallers at least (not that they were showing at the time but still) You put up a good fight even as you saw the pendulum swinging back to crush you

I'll admit I was really surprised you took the wraiths over the 2 level 3 stormcallers.

Hi drn, bought the game because of your videos and now iam loosing hours at a time to this game : D Quick question: Do you have any tipps how to counter mass snipers/melting points? in theory the answer is mor chaff, but then they just put one vulkan upfront and it melts in seconds. I heavily struggle with dealing with it : D Also as a new player i think the idea of a coaching series would be realy cool! Anyway great videos :)

one thing you taught me when we first played together was "if it's last round, what's stopping them from putting up 20 missiles?" - great advice :)

If you plan on using armor to tank, you should rly buy the unit Rank 2. Also arclights with armor (and range later) super destroy mustangs. Also Oil round 8 would have sealed the deal for sure, you alrdy had fire badgers so all the mustangs would have burned to death.

Where was the ranged melter vs the hero fort?

No matter what an amazing game from both players! Looking side by side before the last turn, it looked like you feel behind in the chaff game, while the mustangs scare off buying chaff, you were not clearing your opponents fast enough and none to stop the tide from colliding with your carries I had been thinking while it would have been a massive cost, the armor and degen on triple wraith is were my mind went when i saw it. Would laser sight on a melting point + range tech helped? if it started on that being shield it would popped fast. if EMP blast came back sooner, it would have removed those shields as well. I think the space rod was well placed taking out a whole fort on its own, but Editor DRN had a point with the lv 3 storm callers just raining pain it would have been helpful to have them gone. Far too many what ifs, even the most skilled players would feel the choice paralysis kicking and making snap decisions as you were. I remember when i started watching your videos, Mustangs were by far a redundant unit who couldnt carry, and now look at them all beefed up. Edits on point and commentary flowing beautifully, now it was hard to tell, but did Editor DRN fill the gaps in some sentences? or did the mic quality change slightly at 13:20 talking about the wraith living with something else to win? Why not fire badger napalm? Almost all his chaff was waves of crawlers and a couple more sacrificial badgers could leave enough fire to kill them all.

Great game man, hard luck you were so close in the end. I think you needed an anti missile unit as soon as you saw 2 packs of lvl3 storms. You forgot to answer them and they did work...a problem I make the whole time!!!😅😅 Seriously questioned the push round with armour. Surely instead of a single tank with armour and push it was so much more efficient to get 2 tanks then and armour the next turn? Maybe push the next turn to elite recruit lv2 tanks? I guess you prioritised stopping the stsng snowball? Anyways great to watch thanks for sharing 👍 Congratulations on 2nd place that's 👌

Lot of missile buys AND pushing early into a supply specialist with round 3 supply enhancement? Ooof, big economic disadvantage to play into.

I played a game recently where my opponent leveled his towers early and used them to tank with most of his units behind them. Ballsy play and it stopped me for a couple of rounds. Thankfully they didn't really have a move to make after that.

Hey, that's me :D -- Those Tarantulas in the early game were too strong, I was on the backfoot from the start, almost impossible to catch-up on tempo. The redeploy on round 2 was smart and the field maintenance on the Tarantulas made a massive difference vs the Overload Artillery at the end. GG WP!

Hey man, not sure what recording software youre using, but incase you are using OBS, there is an option to record the audio from only a selected window, so you can stream game sound, but have discord not be recorded

You say stormcallers are game warpring then win a game by outplaying 5 of them and not even needing missile intercept

What an insane reversal! Rockets raining, fire roaring, bullets rending, mech reeling. Amazing game. i dont know if the melting points were right to keep around, i think those might have needed a sell and move the item to another giant. they cheeped out in the end and used the mobility beacon and not the tech to get the overloads to the over side, ended up not helping anything and just floating in the backline barking orders from their eye in the sky until it was hull that started to break and thrusters fail. the anti missile felt like was needed all game, when you are losing i can see why you dont buy the emplacements and with the melting points are ready to break your Sabertooth's i see the hesitation on that, but anti missile is the most effective for those first 2 or 3 volleys, which your tanks would have been able to deal with until they popped, but in the end having it picked up on the Farseers did help a lot in those first volleys. Farseers have become by far my favorite unit to sprinkle in 4 of every game their offered btw. A wonderful mix of range, damage, and support tech. they need a small nerf XD but otherwise have stolen my heart. Editor DRN's omnipotence shines through once again, edits on point, red arrows guiding to things i would have missed the first time without. Player DRN's brain remains an amazing mystery to me, a mind sharp enough to cut through any tactics their opposition can muster, but the double edge seems to cut you too XD Wish you the best of luck and all the Sledgehammers! I feel like sabertooth anti-missile gets a worse rap than it deserves. The sabertooths were big carry units all game and that pickup might have pushed the opponent away from 6+ stormcaller spam.

when you keep saying chain guns re overlords, did they change the name of the ground canons?

That was a close match. Recommendation: Since the Farseer was so pivotal to your victory. Could Editing DRN find a Dawn of War Farseer sound bite to go with the unit, similar to the Ion Cannon sound?

The overlord squad was real spooky to see coming in on you at once; normally units get spread about the battlefield. Were they all aiming the same targets (and thus doubling or tripling on attacks)? It's hard to tell haha

Huh, I didn't know that redeploying along a flank doesn't reset the flanking spawn delay. Is that also the case when positioning to the other flank, or with the jump drive tech? And the overlord summon nearly did you in, that tower snipe had your line just falling apart. You're lucky to have had enough hp buffer to survive

I'm a bit surprised your opponent didn't make an air pivot in there, in the round or two after you picked up the scorpion card. You had a couple marksmen and fangs, but not really a ton of either. And with a card, that sorta forcasts that you'll be buying expensive units that can't fight air units I thought your use of oil to, potentially, share the flames back with them was pretty clever. Almost a shame we didn't get to see it in action

Hello drn! This is a video of a stream that has 6 hours so very few people will watch it much less read comments. This is why I will tell you a story here as I am at my wits end. I have bought the game thanks to you. It piqued my interest but you were the only youtuber who actually talked while they played - so a person not knowing anything about the game could actually follow. I watched your past videos for about a month before buying, as money is really tight right now. I have played the game for about a month right now, mind you max 3 games a day as I have responsibilities. It was pretty great, climbed slowly but surely, at around 60 % win rate. I usually knew why I lost or why I beat the opponent. But then everything changed when the 1.0 attacked. And my win rate vanished, when I needed it most. Since 1.0 I have won exactly 0 games. I have fallen from around 1100 mmr to 800. Last game put me over the edge as I was destroyed by a guy with LINKED BALLS and only 5 squads of chaff. I don't know what to do. I want to enjoy this game but I stopped being able to play it - I don't even know what I did wrong in those games. I am sorry master, I have failed you. Just needed to vent. Thank you for your service.

I enjoyed watching both players using redeploy to keep the situation fluid.

what went from a regular match going smoothly went right into a stressful one wrong move kind of game. the Tarantula's have a staggering amount of hp and damage, when you afford 2 more on the first round with quick supply, that is just a wall of HP and damage to chew on and hope it goes down. i think only Steel ball's that are well placed enough to connect are the only things that might hard counter that turn one, even turn two depending on the specialists, otherwise that amount of HP that early is a pain to burn down the "You should respect your Elders" got me because Editor DRN will always be the older, and he'll also claim wiser, of the two of you XD Thank you for pointing out terminally velocity space metal rod ignores shields. actually never noticed that and would have been left confused watching things die outright to that just wondering why my safety bubble didnt save me. I spent half this match screaming for more scorpions haha ... your board looked so open to big giant plays for so long. The overlord pivot made a lot of sense with what your board was showing.

Oh boy. Lots of mistakes in the review of this one! Scorpion=Tarantula in my mind's eye so I constantly get their names muddled, Absorption Module isn't a damage item, we bought all our Snipers none of them were free, and we *were* given a Sabertooth that was promptly sold a round later. Live DRN was not on the ball at all today! Sorry for the oversights was fairly tired when playing this tourney!

What an amazing game, was not expecting the full reverse sweep. i was wondering when you would pivot into a non-aoe chaff clear unit but the oil forced the crawlers to group up enough for the aoe to clear up them nicely with how long the front line held. beautiful use the anti missile, i did not realized just how much those stormcallers were doing until you shut them down. the redeploy sandworm felt like a discarded tool that could have force your unit deployment to sub optimal, the opening chaff war was insane, so many, crawlers. didnt know that wide formation was so good once you had built up the numbers for them. was wondering where the air pivot was, then i saw both ranged and anti air on the marksman and realized why that never happened. nothing really in the game that deal with that if you cant keep those map wide sky clearers busy overall great game, missed hearing editor DRN fighting for his sanity but the edits were on point, i also missed that rhino smashing into your front lines without.
