That stormcaller brain fart moment is so real. It is the same as when i get a drop that is really good for me and then i hyperfocus on how to use it, to the point that i ignore and forget that my enemy might get the other drop and just, ruin my entire plan
They did, solid unit all round I think - weak to chaff overwhelm and super tanky Giants but good vs almost everything inbetween, they're like Mustangs crossed with Stormcallers.
Nice video! Well done on the tournament. You beat me in round 2. I see you as the real champion of the tournament, as I think Mor#2 was smurfing. Your play was outstanding, I learned a few things about Sledges while watching you :D Thanks!
KaMoS?! Thanks dude! Well played yourself. There's no perfect way to do these tournaments, I've even been put in the Rookie bracket myself after I returned from months long break so I won't hold it against anyone if they end up in the wrong bracket. Really enjoy playing these tournaments and I'm glad the game's doing well post launch! :D
What an insane reversal! Rockets raining, fire roaring, bullets rending, mech reeling. Amazing game. i dont know if the melting points were right to keep around, i think those might have needed a sell and move the item to another giant. they cheeped out in the end and used the mobility beacon and not the tech to get the overloads to the over side, ended up not helping anything and just floating in the backline barking orders from their eye in the sky until it was hull that started to break and thrusters fail. the anti missile felt like was needed all game, when you are losing i can see why you dont buy the emplacements and with the melting points are ready to break your Sabertooth's i see the hesitation on that, but anti missile is the most effective for those first 2 or 3 volleys, which your tanks would have been able to deal with until they popped, but in the end having it picked up on the Farseers did help a lot in those first volleys. Farseers have become by far my favorite unit to sprinkle in 4 of every game their offered btw. A wonderful mix of range, damage, and support tech. they need a small nerf XD but otherwise have stolen my heart. Editor DRN's omnipotence shines through once again, edits on point, red arrows guiding to things i would have missed the first time without. Player DRN's brain remains an amazing mystery to me, a mind sharp enough to cut through any tactics their opposition can muster, but the double edge seems to cut you too XD Wish you the best of luck and all the Sledgehammers! P.S. I hope what i write is coming more off as playful banter and not rude or boring!
Hahaha, wow! What a comment! That's awesome dude! Think the Farseers were our secret hidden carry here. Their Anti-Missile was so good for us! Live DRN is a mixed bag, needs Editing DRN to keep him in check and stop him being too cheeky :D
Thanks man! Yeah, love the track and it kinda fits perfectly for aiding my post match review clarity thought process and de-stressing me after close games :D
The overlord squad was real spooky to see coming in on you at once; normally units get spread about the battlefield. Were they all aiming the same targets (and thus doubling or tripling on attacks)? It's hard to tell haha
I feel like sabertooth anti-missile gets a worse rap than it deserves. The sabertooths were big carry units all game and that pickup might have pushed the opponent away from 6+ stormcaller spam.
Yeah - it's a trickey one, I think once you've got Range on them and an alternative unit as a front line then their Anti-Missile is viable, but it costs +200 more as a 2nd tech, and you probably want Range and Doubleshot if you're playing carry Sabers so it's hard to justify it as a third tech unless it's super effective, which I don't feel it is.
Thanks dude, will admit my voice was on life support towards the end and my brain was fried! Been a while since I've done a straight six hours but it was great fun to cast alongside Stoney!
why does no one ever take anti missle on sabers or stangs especially with that many storm callers? i see that in a ton of videos so i know im missing something
That was a close match. Recommendation: Since the Farseer was so pivotal to your victory. Could Editing DRN find a Dawn of War Farseer sound bite to go with the unit, similar to the Ion Cannon sound?
No need to match Stormallers with Stormcallers, just pop a unit of Crawlers on the line vertical in round two. Buy beacon, use beacon to move the Crawlers back and forth. Stormcallers will waste 2-3 shots on the Crawlers, you can do this for the rest of the game. This gives you time to buy, anti-missile whatever, the more your opponent invests in Stormcallers, the more they'll get further and further behind. I always, always sell Stormcallers, never ever level them because they drop off so bad late game.

Nice! Farseers put in some work

Nice comeback! props for not grabbing storms yourself (I would have! haha)
Was veeeeery close to grabbing them, even unlocked them for 50 at one point if memory serves :D
Thanks for making this easier to understand for new players
My pleasure, sorry I didn't explain more as I was going - was fighting for tournament survival!

you do such a great job of explaining things during and between action. Great video . subbed
Thanks dude! You're very kind, have a great day!
Good ol tanks. No solution like sledge solution.
You might *need* a hammer, but you *want* a Sledgehammer :D
Hey DRN video day, it's a good day.
Thanks dude, hope you're having a great day!

The mysteries of time with delayed uploads!
Haha, sorry each video takes a while to edit! I've tried uploading raw footage but it's much less satisfying and feels sub-par in terms of quality.
@@Drone_101 It's all good man, keep doing what you are doing, I enjoy each and every video you upload :)

Thart "Ion Cannon" is straight out ot Command and Conquer 1 :D

@@Drone_101 yeah 6 hours straight are no joke, but you manage to keep it pretty entertaining.

Haha, great idea - might take me a while to dig one up though so bear with me!
Moment for useless information:
Хвощ Луговой means Equisetum pratense or meadow horsetail
Oooh thanks, good to know if I ever face him again! I'll get to call him the correct name and not take the "I can't read that" cop-out :D

You say stormcallers are game warpring then win a game by outplaying 5 of them and not even needing missile intercept
Hahaha, shhhhhhhh, you're not supposed to notice that! That's Editing DRN's job!
