I feel metal overlord can still happen as normal because he needed data from chaos as well (what the chaos were for). I don't think shadow would have been necessary because sonic can also use chaos control.

I like to think that because Sonic looked a lot like Shadow, and because Shadow is now well... DEAD AS HELL... Black Doom would turn his attention to Sonic and sense the connections he has to the Chaos Emeralds, deeming him also "worthy" for his plans or something IDK edit: DAMN, playing as Perfect Chaos during a final boss or final act moment would make a Sonic game an INSTANT 10/10

Reminder, Sonic Advance 3 had a cyberspace stage as well and that is well before Shad The Edgehog. Rush came out the same day and that's "Advance 4" if you will. Srs, still has sprites of Advance 3 in it as placeholders, not just the credits.

Wait If Shadow died Omega wouldnt need to have been made to guard him or at the very least not be as busted as he was in the original Heroes since he was specifically made to counter Shadow.

I think Rouge would form a completely new team in this timeline. For simplicity sake... I'm saying it's Mighty and Ray. (They were almost in Sonic Heroes anyway. If you don't believe me, check out beta notes for the game.) Their story? Rouge is on her way to find Eggman's treasure (completely different here), and bumps into Mighty and Ray. They say they are out to stop some E100 series that invaded their home. Rouge agrees for them to tag along as she 'had enough of those guys'. She's aloof at first, but slowly grows to like Mighty and Ray. (They are Team... any ideas?) They also encounter Team Sonic in the jungle. Knuckles, Tails and Sonic are surprised to see Mighty and Ray again, and Rouge also does the "long time no see, boys" bit. Mighty and Ray aren't looking for a fight, but Knuckles thinks Rouge is after the Master Emerald again, so they get into a fight. Sonic, Tails, Mighty and Ray have no choice. The final battle goes about the same as you said.

I had sort of the opposite experience with the Archie Comics - I heard of them due to all the weird things they had (the romantic drama, the N%%i Echidnas, the in-universe reboot and other miscellaneous oddities) and one day I finally "snapped" - I decided to get into them, starting from the very beginning, similar to you. And while I had a bit of a rough time starting it, once I turned to MegaBeatMan and his reviews of each issue, I got absolutely sucked in. I had suprising amount of fun "reading" (if you can call it that) those early issues, especially considering that earlier I heard about how much of an unfunny slog they are. I _did_ however get sick of them after rewatching them for the 50th time (because MegaBeatMan didn't necessarily review episodes in order - he tended to jump around and as such, there were a lot of "holes" in the playlist, and I refused to skip issues). I eventually got sick of waiting and started watching Charriii5's streams where he reads the comics. Today, I'm in the 40s of the issues and have just started getting into the ridiculous Knuckles comics. :) Funnily enough, while you initially believed the Sonic comics to be canon to the games, I for the longest time thought the same about the Archie _Mega Man_ comics. I thought they were describing what _really_ happened during those games, like a revision of old lore (as it was pretty simple back then). It wasn't until later when I found out they weren't canon. _(side note: it was also through Mega Man - or MMKB, the Mega Man wiki, rather - that I found out about the Archie Sonic comics. "Worlds Collide"! Too bad I had absolutely _*_zero_*_ clue who all those funny animal characters were 😅)_

Omega's interaction with Amy remind me of Chaos Gamma who ultimately refused to accept his weakness in the face of Emerl, even to the end. Maria is not Gerald's daughter.

OK, you dont have to like RAID Shadowlegends and its game mechanics as a Pay to win game. But Suris, having a Magic the Gathering video channel, promotes a big Pay 2 Win Game himself??? Like in MtG in RAID the essential part is preparing for the game. In MtG buying cards and constructing your deck. In RAID you build and equip your champions. In both games the actual gameplay is only a test if your prepared setup wins or loses. I dont see a difference between the 2 systems.Only one is on paper and the other on the internet.
