Hi Nobby. While researching this little drone i came upon your upload and right away i knew exactly where you were 😆 been on that patch when riding our bikes. So local to me. Cheers for info, i ordered one. 😃
05:40 So I have the iphone smart app on my phone and the neo I run the dji fly app and it asks if I want to join network DJI NE bc80" I say yes and I'm connected to the NEO . Then the app tells me to activate and when I say ok, it tells me I have no wifi connection. When i change my settings on my phone to connect o wifi then the dji app says I'm no longer connected to neo and an aircraft connection is needed to active,..help
For anyone struggling to connect with just the Neo and a phone (no remote controller), I failed several times and only succeeded eventually by getting the phone so close it was practically touching the drone. The other thing to be aware of is the connection to the drone is via wifi (rather than Bluetooth), so when connected to the drone and the app tells you there’s a firmware update, you have to disconnect from the drone in your wifi settings and reconnect to your internet WiFi network in order to do the download. I’ll keep investigating to see if the connection has to be via WiFi and not via Bluetooth …
