I saw a - REAL - comparison by Bruce Wilson, and when you simply compare them the Scania is so much better made, so much more heavy duty, and furthermore the Scania has the bigger and stronger engine. For as far as I know (but I am a European, so correct me if I am wrong) the *Scania's* biggest and most powerfull engine is a 16.4 litre V8 of *770 hp* (at the WHEELS!), while *Kenworth* does not go farther than 15 Litre and *605 hp* at the crankshaft. So I would say that Scania has a BIG lead in all departments. So how the maker of this video gets the idea that Kenworths have somehow bigger and more powerfull engines is completely beyond me. Made they should start doing their *homework* ?

You started the video with false information. Australia is bigger than the united state by a large margin. Truckers use these road trains due to there being less truckers in a country with only 25 million people in the entire country! Terrible start to your video.

Most big box company drivers in the states are not allowed to maintain their rigs, they have company shops that do the maint. And to top it off, company drivers are put under so much pressure by a dispatcher that is covering numbers on a board and could care less about the driver and their needs, aka, home time. Where a dispatcher goes home to a comfortable home, the company driver, with most big box companies, cannot idle the tractor to stay warm, or cool, to meet a crazy mpg goal. With constant emissions failures from the newer trucks, driver is either "Slip Seated" to another truck or sit at a truck dealer repair shop, company terminal or hotel waiting on repairs, far away from home. As an Owner of a Heavy Haul and Recovery Company, I know the costs of break downs if you dont take care of your equipment, and do our own maint. between jobs. Breaking down on a run is Not an option. Granted we dont put on the miles like a company driver ( 100,000 to 120,000 miles a year), we are lucky to make 20,000 miles a year per truck, out of a fleet of 3. We pull up to 250,000 lbs total weight, and there are other Heavy Haul guys that specialize in 250,000 lbs plus. We are paid by the job, where as company drivers are paid by the mile, I've heard numbers from $ 0.25 per mile to 45 cents a mile. Some ive heard make more, but the name of the game is rolling down the road, if the truck you are driving is in the shop, your not making money.

Not on our roads. Build railway lines. Why are so backward. We do not want this type of trucks on the road. They run over you and they do not even realise what they have done. Go by Railway Trains. We were betrayed by Bob Hawke who catered to his mates.

Needless to say but trucking is way different in Australia!
