We use both types here in New Zealand, LN & CO trucks have their pros & cons. It really depends on the use case which determines which type is better suited.
Same for Russia. Those who drive e.g. from Moscow to Vladivostok say American trucks are better than European ones but for some shorter routes cabovers are better
Depends on where CO is made. You can’t compare a European made with the simplistic basic crap that are American made. European trucks are about 20 years ahead in tech and comfort. The only downside with European is small sleeper, but that’s down to regulations. So obviously I would go for a European CO. Every single day. (American LN are bloody beautiful though!)
Euro cabovers aren't suited for *really* long routes (over 3000 km) due to the location of driver's seat right above the front axle + small sleeper. And being overloaded with electronics isn't the best solution for a truck especially for usage in tundra zone. Additionally overall technical simplicity can be an advantage if the rig is utilized in places with very sparse population and little to zero access to a truck service like in a desert or a tundra which allows to fix any issues right on the place (this is not the case for Europe due to its high population density). Long nose for the win
USA 🇺🇸 manufactured are known for making long-nosed trucks with big engines that are not good when it comes to fuel economy. But European trucks 🇪🇺 are much more modern in terms of sales and performance, fuel efficiency, and safety. They are economical, economical, and powerful.
I am not fussed. Whatever I’m paid to drive. If everything works I’m happy. CO with shoddy suspension seats absolutely no go for me while a LN is comfortable no matter what in my experience.
Pro keep on great work as always love your vids
