@DanCanReact great reaction thank you don't forget to put "Happy New Year" on your calendar for January 😉
Absolutely…I always say with ABBA song you dance with tears in your eyes lol
So so loved, yet so so sad how she struggled to love herself. RIP Karen 🌟
One of the all time greatest vocalist. ALL in a time before autotune etc, were invented
Agnetha gold. That must have been so hard to sing and act, given the circumstances of the song.
Regarding the cinematography. Another badge of honour, they more or less invented the video clip. They were 'massive' in Australia. I was a 9yo kid and a part of that 'massive.'
Promo clips by some music acts also existed before though rather not so often or well made. But with ABBA, things started to develop in a higher level. and got more intense and creative.Abba were also helped by sending promo clips since they didn't have to travel everywhere all the time cause their popularity had already increased in a phenomenal way and demand was huge from every corner worldwide.Awarded film Director made a fantastic job even with low budget promos. He had the best tools to work with. These girl's 2 exceptionally photogenic sunny faces. These clips are now iconic emotional art and blueprints of a whole era.
Damn, that Vaseline on the lenses
The greatest sing-a-long song of all time!
This message also makes me think of the message in He aint heavy, he's my brother
She is an amazing drummer. There's a great clip from some old TV show where she drums in a song called "Strike Up the Band." You'll love it I know I do. I just found your video channel. I think you have an enthusiastic joy when you find something you want to share, and i find it heartening. Don't be ashamed to cry dude. It's what makes us human. and I loved your take on Hey Jude, I'll keep listening if you keep making them. Cheers!
What a lovely comment! Thanks for tuning in, and I look forward to seeing your comments on future videos! Thanks 😁
It is so sad that she was fat shamed by the music industry. 😢😊
Makes no sense, she was GORGEOUS!
Her voice…smooth as silk. RIP Karen. ❤❤❤❤
Rip ❤❤
The audience knew what they were getting into and they had been coached beforehand to come and join the Beatles when they got the signal to do so and that's when John and George stood up and told them all to stand up come down.
The Beatles were in their recording studio and rather than appearing on this guy's nightly TV talk show they had him bring his whole audience and his band to the studio and they did this for them in the studio That's his band behind them The Beatles first started out by playing the theme song of the guy's TV show. That's when he says Oh that's perfect what a lovely rendition there you go The most perfect tea room orchestra in the world. That was the Beatles doing the theme song of his show right before they did hey Jude.
I love that, the inclusion of the audience adds so much to the experience for me, it truly highlights the importance of togetherness 🥰
They song “Close To You” won a Grammy over high heavy Beatles, Jackson 5 and Simon & Garfunkel. Also on same night: Best New Artist over Elton John.
Wow, that's some tough competition to beat, that's awesome!
Well well here we are at the top table of music Bobby Hatfield live performance in 1965 and the best ever totally insane the amount of different notes he hits and makes it sound so easy just amazing sorley missed ❤
May he rest in peace, he was such a talent!!
For anyone who is new to the "institution" (not just supergroup or legends) that was the Beatles, I really recommend you explore them in stages or phases of their career. Start with a handful of the wild and frenetic (and more innocent) Beatlemania days of 1964-65 when they took America (and much of the world) by storm amid screaming and crying girls and crazed mobs, then see how they evolve with so many different sounding and meaningful songs as they matured. Again, in their relatively short hit-making years (less than eight really) their sound and personas seemed to span at least a couple decades as a band, to say nothing of their stellar work as solo artists -- and status to this day.
There's so much to listen to for sure, but as you know, I start with the bigger songs first to really get an idea of what made them popular (and attract some viewership)
@@DanCanReact Their early days WERE huge hits just like their later ones, but they were the ones that put them on the map. The Beatles are not like any other band. They had several in the top ten at once, and consecutive #1's with different songs in a row (with no other artists in between)!
At Voyage, they echo the original video on the screens and it breaks your heart because it's almost about forgiveness all of the years later. It's beautiful, poignant and moving because you know that the real ABBA reenacted the whole thing for the show
It's awesome that they did that, wish I went to see their Voyage concert in London, but I wasn't listening to them back then!
Another favorite is "does your mother know" an up beat tune with the guys taking the lead and the girls as back up
Am I goofball that I love Dancing Queen? Seeing Momma Mia on Broadway was really special!
No. They weren't my idea of rock and roll in the seventies but now I have an enormous amount of respect and love for their work. I think *Dancing Queen* is wonderful. The live concert performance in this linked youtube video shows how great this band was! If you have not seen it before, I am certain this will bring you joy! th-cam.com/video/WHXyQH6V9t4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=FQY-qSTWr3_DzeOH
@@philowens7680 FantAbbaulous live performance and a great suggestion.
I might consider watching the Mama Mia movie here on the channel. Think that would be a fun idea?
@ The musical was a lot better than the movie because the actors can sing. I can try to find you the musical. The movie was rather silly. I didn’t get through the whole thing.
@@DanCanReact I think 'ABBA - The Movie' is much more interesting than the Mamma Mia movies... 😉
I love the flute…I think in the end.
I loved that she and ONJ could cut up together and do some fun TV specials. Gone too soon ❤😢
They did TV specials together? That's awesome!
@ yes, I will try to find you the link. I saved it.
So glad I discovered your channel!
So glad to see you here, thanks for watching!
I grew up with Abba and Sweet, amasing music from an amasing time. This song you should play loud, and I mean LOUD! 😄🕺👊
I did play it on my speakers loud after reacting to this, it's great!!
Nice reaction, bro. Is symply. In this time are music so beautifl. Now, is music only for a money. Not all, bad realy mutch.
Yeah, a lot of music nowadays is made with the idea of MAXIMUM money generation in mind. Much of it feels soulless.
Oh, my aunt was in mourning when he passed. ❤
Of course, I bet MANY people were as well, he was that special!
I think this is one of their best
For sure!!
🥺💞. 🥺💞. So dam sad my heart breaks for them. 💔💔
Yeah 😔
great reaction.........thanks...brings back good times.........
And great comment, thanks for watching!!
This was filmed with professional cinema cameras before the advent of bad video technology.
Yeah, love how this was made with a REAL film camera, looks great!
Still carrying on even after their respective divorces, shows great strength and character, it’s obvious that the Swedes are made of sterner stuff. You should also check out The Day Before You Came, it was the last song they ever recorded before they went their separate ways, that was until the Voyage album came out 3 years ago, Don’t Shut Me Down is probably their best song from that album, check that out when you can.
Cool! Sounds good, I have heard of ABBA's Voyage album, mostly through their virtual concert that was held in London. Only saw previews, but looks AWESOME!
@@DanCanReactDon’t Shut Me Down is the star track on Voyage imo…recorded approx 36 years later yet no drop off on their magic.
For the record - yes this is a sad song - no, it's not about them. It was written in their early days and they were all happy at the time. Their songs are not autobiographical except for a few of them.
Gotcha, I would have thought they were autobiographical, because most of the songs I have reacted to thus far (from them) have somewhat been that!
Check out both "brothers" singing You'll Never Walk Alone. Bill Medley adds a fantastic baritone voice to the mix.
Awesome, thanks for the recommendation!
This song was released in 1976, 3 years before Agnetha and Björn seperated in 1979. But with a Big shock this, 1976, was the year the two couples split up and swapped partners, Agnetha was now with Benny and Björn and Anni-Frid were together, It was announced on one of their live shows back then but it didn't last long before they swapped back. Björn and Agnetha met in 1969, Agnetha 19 and Björn 24 and they were married in 1971 and had a daughter, Linda Elin Ulvaeus, in 1973 then a son, Christian Peter Ulvaeus in 1977. If you notice Agnetha is no longer wearing her wedding ring in this film clip and also the song "Money Money Money" in the car you'll notice Agnetha in the front seat with Benny and Björn in the back with Frida. The two woman in ABBA were just known as Anna and Frida. P.S. Björn and Agnetha split up several times throughout the early days of ABBA. She was the only one of the four of them who didn't grasp English all that well and didn't like touring because of leaving her daughter with a baby sitter all the time.
They never split up and swapped partners. What a nonsense... 🙄
@@Lisa-M What planet you living on. They swapped partner in 1976 fool
From my research it seems like they didn't swap partners, but I'm not sure. Thanks anyway for trying to fill me in on some context guys, no need to argue 😊
@@DanCanReact You'll find they did. It was announced on a tv interview in early Feb, 1977 when the host asked Björn that he was now with Frida and Agnetha with Benny. I can't remember what interview it was or whether it was a concert tour but it was on tv.
@@jornborgholm3135 By chance you forgot which interview it was. *lol* But even if this interview actually took place then they were probably joking and you fell for it. So the fool is you, not me. The only TV show where the host ACCIDENTALLY mixed the pairs up and immediately has been corrected by Agnetha was in the show 'Am laufenden Band' with Rudi Carrell in 1978.
I love your channel. Want to see ABBA rocking. Check out “So Long@ made in Sweden !!!
And I love your comment! Thanks for the suggestion!
Any ABBA song is awesome. But from one Dan to another check out my personal favorite The Name Of The Game
So excited to listen to more of their songs!!
Quand tu écoutes,s’il te plaît ne parle pas et n’interromp pas la tune!merci à toi!

It's a great one!!

Of course! And thanks for watching! I have a lot of other classics on the channel, feel free to browse through them!
Must react to The Visitors. By AbBA
Will get to it for sure!
Best band ever
One of my favorites thus far!
The quality of the video visuals comes from the fact that it was actually shot on 16 mm movie quality film, not on video tape.
16mm is so beautiful! I've seen a few films using it, but couldn't have guessed it was used for this music video. Thanks for letting me know!!
@@DanCanReact The Director, and a friend, Lasse Hallström, was a filmstudent he probably used the cameras he was working with. Sometimes they filmed music clips in a empty studio at Swedish Televison
Listen to „when all is Said and done“. My favourite
Thanks for your recommendation Christoph!
Hey! It is not Anni, it’s Frida. Great reaction, anyway!
Anni-Frid is her name, so it's not too far off lol!
Please try some of their songs that are reacted not so often as others. I suggest 'Andante Andante', 'Eagle' (Long album version), 'Move On', 'One Man, One Woman', When I Kissed The Teacher' or 'Our Last Summer'.
I will for sure get to these eventually, but since I'm trying to grow my fan base, I gravitate towards the more popular songs first!
@@DanCanReact What a pity. So it's the same procedure as almost everywhere. ABBA have about 120 songs but we always only get their 20 greatest hits and then the reactors stop reacting to them. I wish there would be more reactors who stand out from the crowd. I don't think the songs I mentioned above will shrink your fan base because they are some of the real gems in their catalogue.
@@Lisa-M I'm not saying I'll never react to those songs, I more than likely will, but because I have limited time to make videos, going for the songs that will most likely get views is the smart choice, since I'd love to have a fan base to watch in the first place :D
You can never go wrong with ABBA! ❤
Of course ❤❤
😍😍😍Unmatched, is the word.
You're right!!
They were together as a band from 1972 until 1982 and made eight studio albums in that time and then the newest one in 2021. This song is from their fourth album in 1976.
Okay, so this was at the halfway point of their career! Interesting, thanks for letting me know Lisa 😆
Thanks for your positive reaction! Super talented ABBA! .... always in awe of the girls beauty and voices! ❤❤❤❤
