      Study, study and study. I gathered everything by studying only. You can also study the available books . Never stop questioning everything. If you stop that you will never go to the deepest possible explanation. Never get satisfied after watching any video, go as deep as possible.

    won't that leaving BF3O- grabs the remaining proton on the other end of the dithiol to give a S- species? Because I think BF3O- is more basic than RS-?

    • @justinedward9243
      @justinedward9243 ปีที่แล้ว

      also does that BF3O- leaving group need to be protonated first in order to leave? Or can this leave as a negatively chraged species?

    • @justinedward9243
      @justinedward9243 ปีที่แล้ว

      Also why would BF3 reacts with water to give the following HBF4 and H3BO3 byproduct? Is it possible to kick off fluoride in this scenario? Otherwise I cannot come up with an explanation of how boric acid and fluoroboric acid will form.

    This is wrong more substituted enolate (Thermodynamic enolate) is stable than less substituted enolate (kinetic enolate). Less substituted enolate will form only when bulky bases like LDA or LHMDS in THF at -78°c. Unless this condition always Thermodynamic enolate i.e more substituted enolate always form. For more details please go through Clayden Book page no 601
