Classic WoW Hunter Mechanics: Pet Control, Feign Death, Trapping
มุมมอง 20K5 ปีที่แล้ว
The addendum regarding splitting mobs using feign death was fixed in patch 1.9, and since Classic will be running on 1.12, this will no longer be possible. I haven't been in the Beta so this is news to me as well! The change was implemented to avoid exploited Dire Maul bosses so it makes sense. If anything, this will encourage us to get more creative with and practice trapping! Thanks Landy Per...

Cheers lad!
ive done all of these things except jumped the pet of tower and that wallhugging to get pet to follow me and as a dumb huntard i can use firetrap and start with concussion shot send pet in arcane ,poison arrow backpeddle to get of antoher arcane then melee the mob. Works until it dont
Spitit is good for hunters while levelling -your pet hold aggro better sicne your damage is lower but since manaregen are faster you can pull of arcane shots and aggro that way
If i had a bow i had lowest gun ammo and if i had gun i had lowest arrows for the hunter that joined the group and were without any ammo halfway through -same with mana potions -healers that have no mana... -All these will happen and low ammo cost nothing and usually if i solo i have the previous used bow or a grey bow with me if i get into a solomode in a dungeon -like solo mobs in wc , your fine green or blue bow will aggro and maybe you also need lowest ammo
Just getting started as a hunter in classic wow and your guide makes me excited and at least has made my experience with kiting and auto shooting better 5 years later lol thanks
Great info, thanks!
Okay the communication thing was funny 😊😊😊
very good video. this was my first time doing a hunter and this really helped
insane tricks! thanks bro. newbie br hunter here
That red windserpent you have looks so badass. I want to tame a dragon. And since i cant tame an actual dragon This is it
this is awesome!! im so tired of every guide reviewing what the best racials are, telling us to buy ammo and spec beast mastery.
Wow is an mmo. Your real challenge is the other players. You can be the best hunter mechanically but if no one likes you you aren't getting an invite. Hard ti entrr a raid with no invite
ty. great vid I really like them.
hey, what's the addon called to get the cast bar at the bottom?
Excellent explanation! Thank you very much
backpedal is a feature of classic, highly don't recommend unbinding it. It is key to mob interactions and having them go where you want them to go.
Great video. Thanks for that. You're right. There's not much content that covers it like you've done here.
Still waiting on that PvP and dueling video.
I have been playing hunter for several years now and I believe this series of videos is one of the most detailed and easy to understand introductions to the class mechanics, both basic and advanced. When it comes to movement, I do not have backpedaling bound and use exclusively QWE for movement. As a hunter kiting (with or without pet) you do not have to always face your target, you may get away with shooting it while being sideways. That way you are always running sideways, your back is not exposed to hits and you will not get dazed 99% of the time (of course if you do not have Cheetah on). Haha, just as I wrote this comment you recommended to unbind backpedaling as well.
Earned a Sub from me for the final tip for Pro Hunter Communication 🤙
I just started a hunter I can't figure out how to about-face without turning 180 manually.
I've always been a mix of Huntard and Pro
Wait. You can use traps in combat. I see this video is 2 years old so maybe it’s changed but I definitely can use traps in combat
In Classic TBC, yes you can. In Classic Vanilla, traps can only be place when your character status is out of combat.
Im still waiting the PvP focused videos :(
Love your channel, to bad you are not posting any more💔
I agree, he had great videos. Btw if that’s your dog in the pic, I love it GSD’s are my favourite dogs too bad we can’t tame them in Classic 😂
@@manimal9871 yep, My dog😎 I have a Wolf deathowl tamed in My Hunter, Close enough ro GSD.😅
From my guess, you use Scorpid for tanking while levelling/questing, Wind Serpent for PvP and Wolf for raiding.
Is there an addon for vanilla range check deadzone melee range ?
Over a year into Classic, Mage became the clear new huntard of Classic
Great video - just what I need. Cheers fella
make a new one
nice
play since vanilla start but never played hunter, thanks! :)
wait , is that what pros do with communications? i did't see that before :D cool thing
Hello Kork. Some very useful videos. Thankyou. One question: what add-on do you use to manage your ability bars?
Thanks for the video, any good specs for soloing?
If you're in ZG and the mages have the blood drinkers sheeped, for the love of huntardation don't use multishot.
Gotta parse brah
Best. Class. Ever.
I leave growl on auto cast if im solo leveling or grinding mobs for something. Helps pet keep aggro off me and less for me to worry about
Old comment, but people like me are jumping back in on Classic Era. For the most part, Dash can stay on auto cast permanently. For solo/leveling, having Growl and Bite on auto cast is fine. You may want to swap out Bite for Claw, if Bite is under-leveled. For group content, put JUST claw and bite on auto cast. You can situationally use a manual growl to stop straying mobs from going after teammates.
A little tip not mentioned is leaving growl on auto cast while leveling isnt so bad in classic as the agro is not as huge as private servers.
It's still ideal to bind growl and use it manually. Yes, you will have an extra button to press every 5 seconds, but commanding growl does not trigger a GCD or reset your attack animation, so there is no dps loss unless you're unable to hit the growl keybind simultaneously with another ability thats come off cooldown. Learning to use growl manually will make a noticable difference, even when leveling. Especially if you're fighting multiple targets
@@Rizerr96 On private servers Growl Manual only for Classic when I played was betterbto leave it on.
No hippos? :(
hey man i don't mean to be rude but you could've at-least lowered your music in-game volume lol
Great hunter lessons, Thank you
I really want to be a pro hunter so I wander around in starter zones paying people to shit talk my guildies
I'm aggroing. Should I respec?
Camera was all of over the place. You Constantly repeated yourself and made what could of been a 2 minute video last over 10 minutes.
My first character is a hunter... maybe I'll do a warrior or mage next... idk.
You can not eat in combat, nor trap three targets unless you time it in a second every thirty seconds, which then would make the first one too old anyway.
25:50 How could you have Aimed and Wyvern at the same time? :O
You skill survival at 31 points and then you go for aimed which only requires 11 points in marksman with another 9 points to spare.
@@Raizzor18 Oh ^^ yeah i forgot aimed is available so soon
Ashkandi is a hunter weapon for bwl melee weaving, or for pvp warriors, but pve should be prioritized over pvp.
Hunters are without a doubt the least team friendly players. Willing not only to take the BiS items from other classes in 5 man's an raids, but also to continually roll on any peice of gear at any opportunity regardless of the other players needs in the group.
While I have played classic, I have never played classic as a hunter, and I now fully appreciate how easy it is in retail. So many things I was not expecting to have to deal with. Like, my pet can run away whenever tf? I need mana? I have to go out and tame things to learn skills? It's not a given that my pet will generate more threat than me? Seriously, retail hunters are basically handed the world on a silver platter. I think I'm on the right path now that I've done the research, but I'm sure I looked like an idiot when my first pet abandoned me in the middle of a fight and I chose to stand there and get killed rather than solo my way out of a really annoying cave >,<
