Between the Mountains - Pogradec, Albania

This past weekend, I had the chance to visit Pogradec, Albania. Pogradec is a charming town that sits between the mountains of eastern Albania and western Macedonia. I didn't have much time to explore the city, but the time I had was definitely enjoyable. I visited in March, so there were few tourists. The city was quite and Lake Ohrid was cold and beautiful under the cover of the clouds.

Great observations of Pogradec. I'm impressed. Pogradec is the town I used to spend summers when I was growing up. Spent a week last summer. Love it there. You say it's charming now but you don't know how charming it was in the 70/80/s despite the hardships of the time. Many people from Pogradec have immigrated in US. There a good amount of them in Jacksonville FL. That lake is heavenly. There's a fellow American living in Bucimas village near Pogradec. His name is James Leithart. He's got a bunch of videos here on TH-cam. Hope you had some good traditional food there. Cheers.
